I was thinking there probably would be some kind of 50% off sale on Xmas Day ~ seems like the past few weeks they've had something in the middle of the week and yuck on the weekend.
Tirama, could you PM me the name of the person that rejected you or the one that was all over the place (are they the same?) so I will know not to add to my list of friends. I've only had one outside request so far and I accepted it (I'm was used to doing that in Farmville on FB). Heck, I probably added 300 or so over the couple of years I played and I don't recall getting anyone really awful. I made some great friends from all over the world ~ you get to know them through the game, what they gift, how often and how reciprocal they are and being from different time zones, there was always somebody there to interact with. But that game was based on exchanging items or you could never have gotten very far. But we're all different and I can understand barre's perspective because the internet can also be a scary place if you're not careful.

tee - you might want to wait until after Christmas on the Antique Dreamin one. Right now the rewards for finishing the HO scenes include special Christmas items, but there's some Christmas collection items that were only available during special Christmas quests. If you wait, until the next update, the Christmas collectibles will be gone, and you'll receive more of the supplies you need to advance in the earlier levels.
Thanks, Tirama for that info ~ I've been working all aft. cleaning here and there and haven't even been on computer so will wait till after 1st of the year.
All the tips are going to be helpful as I get further along. The quests on the side remind me of Farmville as you would have to scroll up and down on those too. Just hope this game doesn't become like that one. Don't think so as there is not as much energy so you can't play long.

Well, I wasted a lot of energy yesterday on the quest to make a potion for the tree thingy, Moss??
I was in the HOS and didn't want to go out and some of the items just kept counting down so went out twice to see if I needed it from the store. Went back in again this morning and same thing, this time though I messed with the thing up in the corner and somehow, it opened up for me to finish the quest. I messed with it yesterday but guess I didn't do enough. Live and learn, I guess so onward I go.
Downloaded the Dark Manor one and don't really like it that much as the items are too hard to decipler in the scenes so think I will dex it. Gonna try the Antique Dreamin one and the golf one. Have a good Saturday everyone.

Love this game ~ didn't find it that difficult until the end; in fact, I think I need to try to finish that one off.

Well, I did it and I made it to Level 4, I think. Got the castle walls upgraded and some trees planted and then, I realized I needed more energy or resources to build stuff. Just went back and checked my avatar and my code # is 75 9621, name Teeitup (Tee was already taken). Off to run some errands, pick up a couple of more gifts for the GK's and get a much needed pedicure. Our weather is supposed to turn nasty tonight so wanted to get it all done before then. More game playing this aft. I hope. Now that I am home FT, I lose track of what day it is. This actually feels like Saturday to me, since that is when I usually did my errand running.

Anybody else going to take the plunge?
Well, I admit, I thought about looking at it yesterday and then I talked myself out of it because I'm a sucker for these kind of games but decided against it. But dang it, you all have me curious, with all your #'s, quests, etc. Being that it is something that can only be done off and on, guess I will take a look at it, can always delete it if it becomes too time consuming.

Tee, I am sorry about your folks. I'm glad you all had a good time at the party. I can relate in some sense. My father has been recently diagnosed with a cognitive impairment. Pretty much early stages of dementia. I don't live very close to them which is unfortunate but I try to get there as much as I can. Can I ask if your mom had any sort of surgery or injury that was a precursor to the dementia? It seems to be a recurring thing that comes up when I talk to people. My dad had a hernia op that led to a blood clot and seemed to really go downhill after. He is only 74. My grandpa, touch wood, is in much better physical and mental health at 94. Dad seems to be really failing and getting depressed imo.
You know, she did have a hernia operation, not sure when and in the last two years, developed a bulge in the breast bone area but the dr. said that was probably from the previous incision and we would just watch it. She had a blood clot in her left leg a year ago Sept. but that could have been from her sitting and not getting around as much. She has skin cancer, problems with her circulation and the dementia just has contributed to her body starting to give out. Thanks for all the kind thoughts.

Do want to get a couple of SE's I've read you all talking about.
Thanks, sunshine and Tirama ~ I do value my time with them as they are both 89 and I know I am luckier than most.Tee. what SEs do you want to get?
Don't worry, I know all about curiosity and the cat...
I also realise how lucky I am. My dad died years ago but my mum - also 89 - is still alive and kicking. But we've also been through a lot with her this past month. She's been really sick and thought her cancer had returned. However, after 2 hospital stays, an MRI, a full-body CT scan, heaps of blood tests, etc, they cleared her of any more cancer (although they have to keep an eye on a spot on her lung) but didn't know what was making her so dizzy and sick. They eventually decided she should see the Head of Neurology that she saw earlier this year about her vertigo. Luckily he lives just around the corner from her and so makes house calls - and doesn't charge her anything! This morning he turned up at her door before breakfast on his way to the beach to go swimming (my mum lives on the beach and he goes swimming right in front of her place every morning), only wearing his tiny little swimming costume. But at least he's confirmed that it's just a different sort of vertigo, so my mum feels confident enough to start driving herself around again. She lives on her own, with no help, and only gave up work last year, at 88, after having a mastectomy when she found out she had breast cancer. In a few weeks she's off for a cruise circumnavigating Australia on the QEII. So I also realise how lucky I am to have my mum still around. Except my mum wants me back home in Sydney permanently...

BFG has the half-price sales in the middle of the week but BOGOF's are normally for 2 days on the weekend, followed by BPM. Speaking of which, why aren't you waiting to get the Christmas Carol game and whichever other one you decide to get until Monday so that you get the extra punches????
I thought about that but the last few weeks they really haven't had a true BOGO so decided to go ahead and get it now; now watch, it will be a true one right before Xmas but that's OK, don't really need a lot of PCC's as that will just keep me locked in again. Do want to get a couple of SE's I've read you all talking about. I don't miss it but it sure is fun figuring out what to get.
