I love the Margrave games. I think it's Blacksmith's Daughter that has a charming wallpaper of a cottage by a stream that I used for months.
Battery will die in a few minutes, Meg, I'm so happy for you. I've done the route 1 thing, it's so gorgeous and romantic. We stayed in a motel looking out over the ocean and raccoons came to the room and ate our dog food. Have fun, heck, you can't help but have fun!

Well I picked another winner to play. Margrave The Blacksmiths Daughter. I don't have the wallpaper though as I have the SE. My current wallpaper is from The Dark Overlord game. This Margrave is really a lot of fun. I have little memory of the others, I think I played them so long ago. This one is quite innovative. And I loved when Edwina told off the one seer and had a rant about cleaning up and do all these errands. Too funny.Any one who has it unplayed go for it, it really is very good.

stusue -- Just the name HIDDEN MEMORIES OF A BRIGHT SUMMER DAY makes me want to play that game!
Lily, I've just spent a bit over 4 hours playing it and I'm STUCK!!!! And there's no help!!!! I have all the journal entires and 11 of the 14 tablet fragments. Now I need to cut 2 lots of reeds and some creepers but all I have are a screwdriver, hammer and gloves in Tools, and the tablet fragments and 2 blue feathers in Inventory. And none of those work! I assume I need something like shears but I have absolutely no idea where they are. And I've been over every scene over and over again but I just get told that there's nothing left to do there. And, as there's no help to get around - just some sparkles and a dog in the HOSs - there's nothing to tell me what I need to do. Stupid game. I hate straight HOGs but this one's a little bit different and you occasionally get things in your inventory that you use to open things in other areas, as well as some tools in your Tools that you use more than once. But I can't believe I'm stuck! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...
Like the one you mentioned sunshinej -- FATAL PASSION: ART PRISON. I'll have to check that out.
I, just like Sunshine, wish I'd bought the CE of this one. However, as you have to pay full price for the CE in order to get a coupon back for the SE, I haven't as yet upgraded. But I sure would love the CE...
I passed on the CE of GRIM TALES: THE VENGEANCE. But from what I'm reading now it seems as though it IS CE worthy?
I got the CE and it's on my short list of games to play next. So I'll play it next and let you know what I think. Hopefully I won't get stuck.

I agree about Elephant. I just finished Royal Detective: Queen of Shadows CE. Big disappointment
Definately not CE worthy! The BC was short and both the main game and the BC left me with a: Uh is it finished?!
I loved the first Royal Detective and expected this to be the same. The graphics wasn´t even clear and the Queen (who we should save) looked evil so first I thought she was the "bad guy"
Anki, would you even recommend the SE? I liked the use of magic items, like the glove, but was only going through the motions when I demoed it and wasn't at all excited. I wanted to demo the SE to see if I'd just been having a bad day when I demoed the CE, but it sounds like maybe it's just not that good.

Well, I've just finished another game! That makes 2 full games played in the last 2 days, 1 game finished, and one game where I'm stuck right near the end and there's no help in the game and no walkthrough that I can find.
The 2 I've played in the last 2 days:
Whispered Legends: Tales of Middleport by Gogii Games (released by GameHouse yesterday, not yet at BFG)
The Dreamatorium of Dr Magus
The game I finished (I've been playing it on and off for a while):
Fantasy Mosaics - I only realised I'd finished when the neverending mode started with tiny boards
The game I'm stuck on, right near the end because I can't find any shears!:
Hidden Memories of a Bright Summer by Kylotonn Games (France, China) through Anuman (only at GameHouse atm)

Woo Hoo, I finally found the secateurs and finished Hidden Memories of a Bright Summer only 5-10 minutes later!
For a straight HOG I didn't mind it at all. I wouldn't recommend anyone purchase it but it's a fun FunPass game. If you like straight HOGs, however, I think you'd really like this one as it's definitely different. The ending was a bit lame, though, after all the build up. I'll try and post a full review tomorrow.
So that makes 4 games finished in 2 days! That should get my played/bought ratio up a bit for May.
So, bed for me now. I need some .
Have a great one, everyone!

I finished Where Angels Cry - well not totally as I couldn't bring myself to finish the last little bit. Anyone who has played the game knows what I am talking about. I missed 2 out of the 21 angel collectibles. I was able to complete all the puzzles without skipping and some of them I particularly dislike ex. turning off all the lights or making all the lights one color. I spent 2.99 on it and don't recommend it since I was turned off by what we the player was supposed to do at the end. Game or not.
I am like lilyr. I have tried Midnight Castle, American Road Trip and even Archie: Riverdale Rescue and couldn't get into them. My favorite has been Awakening: Kingdom. Oh lilyr, I think you would like Fatal Passion: Art Prison.
Oscar...No, not afraid of clowns. Going to play Weird Park next. What frightens me is frogs ever since I was young. You should hear me scream when I see one for real. In games if they are realistic looking i will avert my eyes if they are cartoony looking they don't bother me at all.
stusue...Glad you found your secateurs and could finish your game.

For me it's millipedes and silverfish. Blech. You see the odd millipede in a game and it doesn't bother me but real life ugh, silverfish the most gross me out. Fortunately I rarely see them. I think it's all those legs.

I have finished Tales of the Orient: The Rising Sun. It was very good. Nice to play a match-3 in between.
I really liked the music!

Stuesue, I don´t recommend Queen of Shadows at all It even went downhill after the demo. Just like you I was only playing mechanically.
I really like Jewel Match 4 Just one more level...
oscar, I smile when you mention silverfish. We live in an old house so I see them nearly every day and just try to smash it when I see one
