As most if not all of you know, I buy CE's.
For some reason, I can't buy an SE version. Knowing that I'm missing something, no matter how lame that something might be, bothers me. I'm always thinking "But just because So-and-so didn't think it was worth it doesn't mean I won't enjoy it and be glad I have it."
Oddly, that habit doesn't cross over to other game portals. As long as BF doesn't offer the CE version, I'm content with the SE. I guess my need to have all my game purchases coem from the same place supercedes my need for completeness.
With so many new series being developed, I had been pretty much cured of my bad case of serialitis. I can't afford to buy every CE, don't have the time to play every CE, so I think I'm finally at the point where I stop hoping that ERS (especially) and others have made improvements and that their long-running series regain teh magic the first episode possessed.

I'm the same, Tirama. If a CE is offered, that's what I buy. I could care less about downloading music, wallpapers or concept art, but I want the extra gameplay (no matter how lame it may turn out to be), and the SG's are nice (usually, although some have been completely useless). But I only buy them on sale, never for full price. As a matter of fact, I can't remember the last time I paid full-price for a game. And I only ever buy CE's during sales, so non-CE sales don't tempt me at all. I buy enough CE's that I always have plenty of PCC's for everything else. I guess that's one of the benefits of having a huge backlog of games, I never feel that pressure that I have to have a game NOW!
I do like to have all the games in a series, but I'm not fanatical about it. If I hate a demo, I won't buy it just because it's part of a series. But I'll give every game of my chosen types a chance, even if I hated previous games. For instance, I hated the demos for the first two Margrave games, but bought the later 2, because I enjoyed those.

I like to get the CE's for a series as well. If I decide I don't want to continue with the series I won't even get the SE though.
So over Awakening so didn't get the last one at all. Unline some people I still like Haunted Halls even though Tim drives me crazy and I want to just let the crazy octopus guy do whatever he wants to him
Love 1000 doors series so will continue to get CE's of those. Also Mystery Trackers.

So please, tell me, what happened to Tim in game 3? There's a 4th one on its way. Sometime I think what would happen if Tim hooked up with dopey sister Louisa from the Grim Tales series.

I tend to buy the CEs to during sale time, I figure its the price of the SE and I can wait I have so much to play.
I do buy the whole series. Even if there is a dud I live in hope that they have read reviews from players and have stepped it up in the next game. And I do like ERS games so I pick up there series as well. Artifex Mundi is fast becoming a favourite dev for me along with Elephant and Blue Tea. As well Elefun has some really good offerings imo.

I still like ERS too, Oscar.

I never used to get CEs until they had BOGOs, so all my older games are SE versions. I'd like to get the CE of Dire Grove but it just doesn't seem worth it now. I've never been really impressed with the bonus game in the CEs, I do like morphing and collectibles. There's very few CEs that I felt were worth double price just for the bonus content. I'm going to try to stick with more SEs in the future, unless it's a really good CE, and then buy it on BOGO with the Monday bonus punch trick!
I've stopped buying some of the series lately, seems like they've been going downhill.
