I recd a reply to my reply and he sent me a 60% off code for a CE to be used by December. He did comment that he was aware a lot of people hadn't received them

Speaking of rebates. I recd my credit card statement and they still have not credited me back for that returned washer. When I called them they started giving me the runaround a bit saying there was no return order. In the end he says he'd prepare the credit like he was doing me an enormous favour. Which irked me as I had followed their instructions to a T and had made three calls, one immediately after the return. As instructed! He acted like I hadn't sent it back. Trust me I do not have two washing machines. Doesn't give me much faith in Sears and their CS .

I haven't heard back from CS yet, although I only sent it yesterday.  Hopefully I'll get a coupon like you.    If they're aware that a lot of people haven't received a coupon, why aren't they doing something about it?

Stupid Sears and their CS.    Makes you wary of buying anything else from them.

I like Marmite.  I like Vegemite.  Don't like Double Double...too sweet.

Woo hoo, someone else who appreciates the culinary worth, and the sublime taste, of Vegemite!

But, Barre, where did you try Vegemite?  It's normally only Aussies who eat Vegemite.  Everyone else, especially the Brits, normally eat Marmite, which is much sweeter and less gluggy, being runnier.

As for a Double Double - I can't imagine having 2 sugars in my coffee!

Well, I'm off to the vampires ... again.  Stupid blood.

Well, Sue, you will be surprised to know that I was in the store the other day and there on the shelf I spotted bottles of Vegemite!!!  here in Vancouver....imagine that!!  Maybe I'll get a bottle of it and think of you when I'm eating it..

Some vampires are kinda cute looking....but only in the movies!!   You take care, ((hugs))

Go for it, Barre!  Get some yummy Vegemite.  Be daring.

Oh, if only we had Vegemite on the shelves!    I have to bring 18 months' supply every time I come back from Sydney - and Vegemite is VERY heavy!    Also, whenever family or friends come to visit I always ask them to bring some Vegemite so I can stock up.    I can get it here online but it costs a small fortune for the smallest jar!    And I don't really feel like going to jail following a failed bank robbery attempt.    How would I get to play all my games????

Thanks, Barre.  ((hugs backatcha))  My vampires are 2 young girls but they're really nice.  I always try and get there and away before the doc turns up as I don't like him at all.  Fortunately he doesn't take my blood, as happens in Australia, but his doctor assistants do.    However, every single doctor I've seen here in the hospitals - and I've seen a LOT! - are all young and really, really cute and super nice and caring.

Barre -- There must be a call for Vegemite or I'm sure the store wouldn't stock it.

Stusue -- Sorry about the frequent blood draws. When I need blood tests I go to an off-site lab.  The techs there are VERY good.  It's over before you even feel the needle.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Husband has been going in at 3am for some overtime this week.  So the alarm wakes us up at 2 am.  By the time he leaves I am not sleepy so I demo'd today's game Hope Lake.  I wrote a review over at BF.  Boy, did I get out of practice out of doing them.  Anyways, I think I will get it when it comes out as a Daily Deal.  It looks to be a story based game (I hope) with 18 HO scenes & 26 mini games (according to the blurb).  I didn't think it was bad one and I didn't have any tech problems with it.  Looks like a lot that did.

stusue...At first I didn't get your reference to vampires. Then duh it hit me.  I'll be doing that next Thursday for my annual check up.

oscar...I hope you get your credit card refund without any more hassle.  Returning big ticket items can be such a pain.

I tried some of Midnight Castle and don't really care for it.  I'll keep it on my computer until I get my 60% coupon and then it is Good Bye Charlie.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

That is the puzzle Stusue.  I was looking thinking yup I see the little shapes on the medallions and on the rings, yup got that and um the instructions just say look for the clues.  I assumed somehow they needed to be lined up next to there corresponding medallion but that was never going to happen.  I get what you mean in your instructions.  Will do.  Big thank you. So far I am very impressed with this game.  That orphanage sure didn't look respectable anymore!  I'm playing on hard level, I imagine the only difference is wait time for hints and skips.

Now I'm off to fill out forms for comp, one of the employees injured himself so now he is laid up and I will be laid up under a mountain of paperwork.  (I'm not being callous, it wasn't serious, hmm and he isn't answering his phone)

AS for double doubles, I know people that get extra large triple triple, blech, I imagine you can stand a spoon up in it with all that sugar. I take my tea black and my coffee with a spot of milk, I like it to taste like coffee!  I used to work in a coffee shop as a teenage and it was my favourite job. Ever. The days before drive thrus.  I can remember the morning shift customers were lined up out the door and we would sell $1000 easy of coffee from about 6am to 10am.  And we are talking 30 years ago, that's a lot of java!

Today's Daily Deal Chronicle of Vida: The Story of the Missing Princess is a game I played and loved it.  If you like these type of games it is well worth the 2.99 price tag.  I would get stuck since I would not hit the hint button (There are achievements in the game) leave play other games come back to it, checked the forums for help and even asked for help.  It was a real journey for me to make it to the end of the game.  Vida has a companion named Black who is a talking ferret.  He and Vida would banter back and forth.  They both had such nice accents that fit in the game really well.  The bantering I listen to most of the time since I enjoyed it and was able to easily tune it out when needed.

Speaking of regional foods.  Has anybody ever heard of pepperoni balls.  I thought they were a nationwide thing, but my daughter said that they were more of a regional food.
