Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Thanks stusue, I got your pcc, but I am going to give it back to you since I didn't realize when I used 2 of my own pccs this morning that they weren't giving me the punches.  My card is still showing 3 punches just like it did before I got

Dark Tales: EAP's The Fall of the House of Usher
Bridge to Another World: Burnt Dreams

I wrote to CS also so we will see.  I sure hope I didn't mess up your punch card strategy.  Thanks again.

misscat...Pouring concrete, tricky work, conditions have to be just right.  Hope the new porch gets done in time so you can enjoy the summer.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I've just posted my demo review of Tales From The Dragon Mountain 2: The Lair in my demo review thread, should anyone wish to read the full review.  As I said above, as I got the game today - after only playing half the demo - it shows that I really liked it!

I definitely recommend it for anyone who likes adventure and puzzles as there are no HOSs.

I have finished Fantasy Mosaics. It was OK. I just started Fantasy Mosaics 2 and I like that one much better.

I also finished Mystery of Unicorn Castle: The Beastmaster. It was fun. The HOS were rather hard and the puzzles fun, The jump map was very useful because there was a lot back and forth and you could see the active spots.

Anki, I saw that GameHouse released Fantasy Mosaics 2 today and wondered how it compared to the first one, which I also got from GameHouse.  If it's even better I'll have to add it to my list of possible games - I have 2 weeks until I need to choose my next one and there's no hurry for me to get FM2 as I haven't finished the first one yet.

I'm glad you liked Mystery of Unicorn Castle: The Beastmaster as I have it - (im)patiently waiting to be played.  I played the first one when The Beastmaster came out (oh, was it difficult with the old-school straight HOSs one after another after another ), so I at least had some idea of the beginning of the story, even though it wasn't necessary to play it.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Hey, Sunshine, they've sorted out the problem with the punches.  Any games bought prior to 9:45 am with PCCs will take a while to catch up but will be eventually added to your punch card.  This is what was posted:

G'day again,

I just wanted to pop back in and let you know that we've resolved the error on our end that impacted how punches were being awarded.

You should find that the earned punches will add to the account for all purchases going forward. It may take a short time for the punches to credit for those purchases made prior to 9:45AM

So, Sunshine, do you want that PCC back again so you can fill your card?  Let me know because, if you don't, then I'll use it.

Yes, stusue I can use it to fill up my card and stick with my original plan and get Nightmares from the Deep with it.  I wouldn't be able to pay you back until my 2 missing punches register, if that is all right with you.

Stusue - yes, I hope so too. They are still here. They are putting a border around the areas that they dug up. They shouldn't be too much longer I would think. The dogs are being quiet now because my dad is home early from work. So, he is out there watching the guys work while my mom is the bedroom with the dogs keeping them quiet. Thankfully.

No problem, Sunshine.  I've just used that PCC as I wasn't sure if you'd get back to me before I went to bed.  So I'll just PM another code to you now, as I had planned on doing.

Oh, and I got my extra punch for that PCC when I just used it.  So it has been fixed but it will take a bit for all the missing punches to register.

Misscatlady, thank heavens the dogs have settled down!

For the past couple of hours the dad next door has been trying to fix his scooter with his dad.  The noise!!!!!!!!    Scooters are so much louder than true motorbikes, even if they do sound like lawnmowers.    It's been driving me insane!    I so hope they finish soon.  He goes to work at 11:30 at night and, fortunately, he walks his scooter out into the street and then a bit further down as during the day he starts it right opposite my bedroom window, so at night, when everything sounds much louder, it would probably wake me up!

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I just got my third game to fill my punch card for April.  But my ratio of bought to played games for April is now 21 bought / 14 played.

The games I got with PCCs (so at least they were free) are:

Viking Saga: New World
Tales from the Dragon Mountain 2: The Lair
The Beardless Wizard

I'd better pull my finger out and start playing some more games now as I plan (hope ) to play more games each month than I buy.  Or else I'll never start catching up on my unplayed games!    Stupid BOGOFs.
