Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I loved Sandman.  I got it direct from Playrix for the sale price of $2.99  The CE.  I love the Gizmo/Gremlin (can't remember what he's called) screensaver.  That alone was worth the price of admission.

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

oscar -- Is MYSTERY TALES; THE LOST HOPE the CE or the SE?  I looked to see if I had it and I don't.  The reviews of the SE said the ending was very abrupt.

stusue -- I have the SE of  DREAMSCAPES.  If it is that good maybe I should upgrade to the CE.  What do you think?  Let us know about Playrix.  So many DEVs are going the mobile only route.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Dreamscapes is in my top 5.  I have the SE and thought it was such a great game.

lily - it is the CE and I've finished it.  I can see how the SE would seem a little abrupt.  The bonus chapter is quite lengthy and does put a different closure on things.  Although with the SE there would be an end, just not the true ending.  If you went with the SE it would be fine without the SG as the jump map shows you were you need to do things to move on.  I did use it quite a bit otherwise there would have been a lot of backtracking.  Youd do return to the HO scenes to put back the stuff you collect the first time around.  Good game, I enjoyed it.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I finished Cruel Collections: The Any Wish Hotel.  A very nice game if you want to use up a pcc.  The graphics were very bright, a range of puzzles, medium amount of HO scenes, no voice overs and the story all pulled together at the end.  Also, it was a complete story with no continuation.  Only just one problem with one scene, but was able to get past it and move on.

Sunday I bought the DD The Secret Order: Masked Intent.  I am like The Secret Order I  have never heard of it before, i must not have that one.  So I checked my purchases and saw that I had The Secret Order: New Horizon so I thought Masked Intent must be the sequel, so I  better get that one too.

Update...According to allaboutcasualgames The Secret Order is coming out in April with  the 3rd game inthe series called The Secret Order: Ancient Times.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I have started 1 Moment in Time: Silentville.  I don't know how I feel about it yet.

I have the SE version of Dreamscapes: The Sandman.  I guess it's about time I should play it!

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Well, Lexi, our boxer, had her appointment this morning with the bone specialist. He is still thinking that it is cancer. He said that in his 17 years of practicing that he's only ever seen a bone cyst once. Apparently according to him it's rare. So, we had to leave Lexi there to have all these xrays and sonograms and what done. He wanted to check her heart, lungs, kidneys and what not to see if everything is okay there. If it is cancer, he wants to make sure it hasn't spread. This was at 10 am or so est. So far no news since. Very stressful day. Been making it hard to concentrated on work.

Doesn't help at at 4:30 the contractor guy is coming over to talk about what was decided for the rebuild of the porch.

Way too much sutff to think about and stress over.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

awww so sorry misscatlady.  Keeping good thoughts that it IS a bone cyst.

Here it is April 21 and I haven't finished any games this month.  I really doubt that I will either.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Lily - I imagine you've been spending all your time on FTP games.

Misscat - I hope Lexi comes back with a good prognosis.

I started playing Witch Island Legacy tonight and boy the time flew.  It really is a nice game, the puzzles are fairly easy but it is so much fun.  The story is unfolding and the graphics are very nice.  My only complaint would be the "movement"  I'm not sure if I can explain.  I do occasionally get motion sickness from some games (I can not play those 360 ones) but when you click on a puzzle and it zooms in and opens a window, the games does a little side jig that makes my brain swim.  My solution to this issue has always been to just close my eyes when I know that is going to happen.   So problem solved. It is an odd little movement it does.  Two thumbs up for this though.  It's a nice break from harder games and I do like that it has all the extras a CE would have less the SG.  One reviewer wrote, soemthing like played 20 mins, it was so easy and boring I kept having to skip the puzzles, lol huh?  The minis are replayable, some with added levels.  For some reason I am a sucker for concentration type games, I love them and this one has a twist in that you have to find 3 and then 4 the same.  Tougher.

Sunshine - I have played both Secret Order games, but did not play the first one until I had the second.  And I liked them both.  I will definitely check out the new one.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

oscar -- Is the full title WITCH ISLAND LEGACY?  I looked on BFG and didn't see anthing by that title.  It sounds like a game I'd like.
