Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

The way they ended it sounded like were going to have a party at the flower shop.  I hope they have an update before I leave Thursday morning, but I doubt it.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I bought so much food to use for this event and have most of it left.    Of course, with my max energy at 3490, and just playing the one HO scene that costs 105 energy, I get a lot of collectibles before I have to refuel.

I was surprised we weren't asked to buy the decorations as part of a quest, or that there wasn't a sale on them.  I bought them anyway.  They look nice.  They look even better when you remove the flowers.

I think the did away with the reward for finishing all quests in case there were problems and somebody didn't receive a quest (which happened to me and many others during the valentine quest).  There were still 3 rewards, we just received them sooner.  I've already used the last one since it increases max energy, ditto the milkshake and cheesecake.

I've completed 420 sets and have almost 10 million in coins.  Tomorrow I'm going to start customizing.  The few buildings I've done have taken 30 hours, so I'm going to customize after doing the daily quest.

Oh, thank goodness it's over.  I'm turtled and flower shopped out.  Hope you all had a Happy Easter

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I completed 460 sets, 435 of them the plushies.  I've got over 7,000 in gold, 10 million in coins, and enough food for the next special event, even if it isn't as easy as this one was.

I've started customizing last night.  I had already done the Butterfly place, the Park Ranger's office and the Ice Cream shop.  Now I'm doing  Crawford's fishery.  It takes 32 hours.   I'll do one place each evening after I do the Daily Quest.

Next food sale I think I'll buy nothing but prawn cocktails.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

3 rewards?  I got the one for doing all the quests and another for completing 4 sets.  What was the 3rd?  As I said, I got over 900 gold and I was just thrilled.  I've never had more than 100 at any one time before.  I now have the 3rd vehicle and will customize my buildings.  I started the Pizza Parlor and it will take 63 hours!   I'm a bit reluctant to customize anything because of the Daily quest.  Maybe (since it says .../49) I'll wait until I get to 49 stars. I never got the last food sale but I was able to pick up a couple of food bundles and buy pizzas as I went along.  I was pleased with the decorations too.  And I thought there'd be a party too.  Not sure how they'd work it though.

We received a food item as an achievement for doing the first spring quest, another food item for doing 7 quests, and a third for doing 10 quests.

It's safe to customize the eating establishments, the post office, the auction house, the hardware store, the animal shelter, and your antique shop because the Daily Quests are all mini games and those places don't have mini games.  And, as I recall, those places always took longer to upgrade than the min-game buildings.

It's probably safe to customize a shop immediately after you receive and complete a daily quest in it because I've never received a daily quest to the same place 2 days in a row.

I started customizing the fishery at 12:15 am. this morning right after I did the Daily Quest.  It takes 32 hours and will be finished at 8:15 AM tomorrow.     Even if the next Daily Quest is at the fishery, I will still have most of tomorrow to do it.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I have around 1500 gold in each game, I probably started with 350.  I spent gold on upgrading to the semi truck in each game and I spent some at the arcade.  I also make some of that through achievements, I know I got the picky shopper one.  For my bronze collections I have around 100 sets in each of the mini-game resources ones.  I'm missing most of one thing in each collection, though, but it's always the thing that sells for a lot of money and is easy to get., like I only have 25 Posh Scarves and Deerstalkers but I have plenty of resources to play the minis and get them when I need them.  I have over 2000 energy in each game and plenty of mac and cheese and pizzas in reserve.  And lots of keepsakes for when I do the minis.

Quite a few of the "safe" buildings you listed are ones I've already customized.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Well, if my daily quest tomorrow is in the photo shop, I'm not going to be able to play it.  I can't believe the photo shop is going to take 60 hours to customize.  Wonder why a building in Dinhammer takes longer than one in Paw-Paw?

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

You should still be able to get into it, you just need to find the 'sweet spot'.  I think I clicked waaay over on the corner of the sign to get in. Somewhere on the edge or the rooftop.
