Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Hmmmmm.. I may have to play the turtle and the Flower Shop a lot more so I can upgrade my vehicle.  The BFG game forum let me down.  They said the Green Jade flower was in Vincent's art studio for 18 palettes.  Nope.  That's the golf bag.  I tried 16.  Nope that's a medal.  I have the rest of the green pitcher plants.  I don't think the cherry blossoms are in the game as yet.  I saw the Easter egg # 1 (red with white dots) in a HO scene but don;t remember where.  I've blown through 2 ciomplete energy tanks so I think I'll wait until the next daily quest.

The Green Jade Flower is in the 2nd 1 pallette game, somtimes listed as 1B or 1b (that's B as in Boy).

Easter egg #1 is in the boat builders, Michigan.

Make sure you put aside some coins to get the special spring/easter decorations for each area.  I want to get them now, but I'll wait for a quest in case they go on sale.

Now is the time to get yourself some gold for the truck, for some food bundles when there's a sale, in case we're asked to buy food as part of a quest, and/or in case there's a special pet.

Now's the time to use your keepsakes.  Use the coin ones when playing mini games, and the experience ones when playing HO scenes.  But be careful that you're not in danger of leveling up and will lose energy.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I've filled 2 flower collections, one of the flowers is in San Fran and only available in a couple modes.  I've done 15 stuffies in one game and 30 in the other.  I'm totally sick of the turtle.  In one game the flowershop only has the main scene open, in my other game all 3 miniscenes are open so that game is a pain in the butt.  God, I hate the turtle.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Thanks Tirama.  I wrote it down wrong.  They do say 1 B in the forums.  Yeah.  I decided I'd get a bunch more of the plushie sets so I'd have more gold so I could upgrade my vehicle (when this is all over).  Right now I've got a fair amount of coins but not if we have to buy decorations.  I've got 2 or 3 mac n cheese and 5 pizzas.  Fortunately I've got a lot of resources so i can play minis if I need cash.  I am using my keepsakes.   Thanks for reminding me about decorations.  i never even thought to look.

Now now Wendy.  It's not the poor turtle's fault.  And it could have been a much worse toy shop game!  I've only got 2 minis open in the Flower Shop.  I got all excited when I got a quest to go to the carnival (thinking I'd get a mini open there) but I guess this will open the 3rd mini in the Flower Shop.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I upgraded to the semi truck on one game.  It took amost all the gold I had on hand but I have over 40 collections I haven't cashed in.  I wonder if they're giving us all this gold to get us hooked on the slot machine?

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I just played the gold slot machine 3 times.  First time I didn't get anything.  The second time I matched 2 watermelons and got a pizza  The third time I matched two grapes? and got some red and yellow medal but I don't know which one it was.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

So far I've got 5 sets of the venus fly traps and 10 sets of the plushies (none turned in as yet).  I sold  some things that complete gold sets for hammers and palettes. I could use the coins to buy food.  I never got the last food sale.  I only upgraded the Penny Arcade once.  Only two minis are open in the Flower Shop.  I got that weird "complete a cookie jar set to complete the tutorial".  I completed one since I hadn't gotten any Spring quests in a couple of days.  The BFG forums seemed to say I had the same number of Spring quests done as everyone else had.  When I went back in the game I got 1 or 2 more Spring quests.

I looked at the Easter decorations Tirama and I'm a bit baffled.  They look nice but will they just be a clump plopped down somewhere in each section of the town or will they be spread out a bit?  The gnomes showed as groups of 3 and that's how they're placed.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I played the slots on my other game.  I won coins twice, I think it was $600.
Lilly, you should have lots more sets than that.  Just do the flower shop and the turtle, that's all you need for a set.  I have well over 50 sets in each game.  I get at least 40 turtles done with a keepsake, that gives me 3300 for each one,

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I'm working on it Wendy.   I think I would have upgraded my vehicle much earlier if it wasn;t that ugly semi!  When you say you've got 2 flower sets do you mean two sets of the green pitcher plants or 2 different flower sets?  I haven't found the cherry blossoms yet.

I'll be able to spend more time playing once my taxes are done.  I hope I can get them finished today.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

After you do the spring quests today one of the missing flowers will be in the Ho scene in Maine.
I got my taxes done but because I always have to pay in I never file until the 15th.  I don't owe much but I don't have the money to pay it quite yet.  My tax guy told me to quit worrying about it, just send in the return and pay them when I get the money.  The amount I owe is so small that the interest penalty won't be very much and hopefully I can get it paid next month.  If I didn't have to pay a red light camera ticket hubby got....
