Did you demo Surface Tirama? If so what did you think? I'm reading quite a mixed bag. The first two games of this series were my favourites, but I have liked the others as well. It's in my you never know I may get it tomorrow with something else pile.

Sneaks into the room slowly - eh hey everybody. Long time no see.
I know, I've been absent from the forum for a while. Though I'm not sure if everyone remembers me or not. But anyway, things have been pretty crazy there for a while. Earlier this year, we had a huge snow and ice storm in SC. We had a large enclosed screened porch that covered our pool area. Well, all the ice and snow caused the entire thing to collapse. Even 2 or so months later and we are still waiting for them to start builidng the new one. Luckily insurance will cover it but it's super slow going.
Also, I had to go in to get a root canal done. That same day we had to take our boxer in to get an xray because she hurt her leg and we thought she may have broken it. Well, they did the xray and the vet found a mass on her bone and it appeared that there was also bone missing. The vet said it was probably bone cancer. They did a biopsy and that came back inconclusive. Well, my dad finally got them to send all the information to a specialized radiologist, and he said that no, it was a bone cyst. Thank goodness. My dad made an appointment to take her to a bone specialist to find out what the options are for removing the cyst. Get this, just for a consultation with teh radiologist, it was $150. Crazy. Granted, it was well spent but still it's crazy. So, yeah, we are relieved but still waiting to find out the best way to make her better.
Even though I work from home, work has been running me ragged lately and I haven't had as much time to play games. Though I have had a chance to play a few. Just yesterday I finished Dark Strokes: Legend of the Snow Kingdom. It was pretty good. Though I thought that the ending for the bonus chapter was a bit lackluster and anticlimatic. I thought it would be better than it was. Good game though. Enjoyed it. The game was rather long, which I liked.
I'm going to see about getting the new Surface game, Reel Life this weekend if the sale is good. It looks promising. I'm also interested in the new game Violett that came up the other day. It looks promising. I'm going to download the demo and hopefully play it tonight or sometime this weekend. I was also able to get Vacation Adventures Park Ranger 2 the other day. Haven't had a chance to play it yet though. Has anyone played either of these two games? Any thoughts?
Welcome back.
I feel your pain. They say misery loves company, but when there's a long queue of miserable people waiting for insurance adjusters and construction crews, all that company just prolonges the misery. Is this the first time you've had to go through this process or do you have experience from hurricanes?
We're also having pet health issues and teeth issues at my house, so I understand way you've been absent.
Have you played or are you interested in playing any of the free-to-play games? Some of us have gone over to the "dark side" as lilyr calls it and are having fun.

Oscar, my punch card situation has changed, and not only because of the BOGOF (although if it doesn't work on BP Monday I'll have to rethink everything ... again! ). I've now got 2 CE coupon codes to use on Monday, as well as 3 PCCs. And then there's the BOGOF! Why of why is there a BOGOF when I've got 2 CE coupon codes that are about to expire???? So I'll have to get pen and paper out and see what my punch card would be depending on whether the codes work on Monday or not.
CEs I'm thinking of getting as CEs:
Dark Tales: Edgar Allan Poe's The Fall of the House of Usher
Nightmares from the Deep: Davy Jones
CEs I haven't yet demoed so have no idea:
Bridge to Another World: Burnt Dreams
Fear for Sale: Phantom Tide
Dark Strokes: The Legend of Snow Kingdom
Cadenza: Music, Betrayal and Death
CE that got lukewarm reviews and is short so I'm considering the SE:
Surface: Reel Life
CEs I'm getting as SEs:
Dark Dimension: Somber Song (really short bonus and collectible sheet music obvious and not worth it)
SEs I'm considering getting:
Northern Tale 3
Rush for Gold: California
Viking Saga: New World (yes, I got beyond all those snowdrifts)

lol good to hear you dug your way out of Viking Saga!
I really like the Fear for Sale so I'm crossing my fingers. As per usual I just jump in with both feet and don't demo. Rarely am I totally disappointed. I can only think of one game that I did not even get past 20 minutes and wished I had not bought. But I haven't trashed it yet, Maybe I was in a mood so I will give it another go at a later date.

And thanks for your recommendation on Shadow Shelter it really is a great game so far. Wish I could get into it today but I'm off out to my cousin in law, and I'm later already.

I did the beta of it. I remember the storyline, unfortunately I didn't post about it so can't remember if the puzzles were good. I took a quick glance at the reviews, a lot of griping by people who skipped a lot of puzzles that the game was too short.
I usually like what other people don't and vice versa. Remember a lot of complaining about the second Surface not being as good as the first, but I liked the second one better. Just about everyone raved about Pantheon, but I didn't think it was anything special.
I'll do a quick demo on Sunday.
