I see this $7.99CE/$3.99SE sale is for EVERYONE. That to me is like unacceptable because what is the point of being a member then except for the DD/COW & the majority of which I have or don't want. Punch coupons don't count anymore and this sale is better than the ones they usually give members like last weekend for instance. I saw DragonLady from oz posted on this weeks new CE the phantom tide one which I need to demo and she is waiting for her 2 fav developers to sell stuff on their own sites and then she will leave BFG. I didn't realize that anyone really sold on their own sites besides playrix, alawar, legacy, avem. I thought she was a big fan of ERS, Elephant, Boomzap, Artifex Mundi etc. sooo do they have sales on their own sites I am not aware of?

Not sure if this is a rhetorical question or just letting of steam.   The reason I stay a member is for the BOGO's and half price sales that are half-off members prices.  Also, I don't miss the 6.99 each month so it's a way of making sure that some funds are put aside so that when I do get games during a sale, it's not as big a crunch to my wallet.

Although I miss getting a punch for redeeming my punch card (who doesn't liek more free stuff), I was always surprised that we got a punch in the first place.  And a pcc still gets me a free game, and for a change, BF has been releasing SE's that I want and I'm not scrambling around trying to find something to get before the pcc expires.

Lastly, I stay a member because I like the convenience of one stop shopping, and BF sells the games made by my favorite developers.  I don't want the hasstle of keeping track of where I bought something and having to deal with myriad customer service departments should teh game not work.

Artifex Murdi sells their games on their website.  You can buy BoomZap's games from their website, but the transaction still goes through BF.  AFAIK, neither Elephant Games nor ERS sells games from their websites.

I love carnival games and games set in carnivals.  I love logic type puzzles, too.  My guess for the number sequence is * 60 *

And we have a winner!

The Others isn't set in a carnival but it's set in the part of town next to a carnival and you have to play a few of the games, plus go through the haunted tunnel on a boat 2 or 3 times.  I know you can go through the tunnel whenever you want but I didn't think to check if you can play the side-alley games again once you've gotten what you need from them.  I remember I played Whack-a-Mole and the one where you move a hand over and try to pick something up (unfortunately I got it first go ) and there's a shooting game.  You have to beat the high scores (not that it's all that difficult).  There are also things to pick up in the haunted tunnel.  Unfortunately, I think that's all there were, but they were fun!  I should have gone back and tried playing them all again.

So I'd definitely recommend you demo The Others as I think you play all the games in the demo, although you have to go back to the haunted tunnel later in the game.  After that the game moves from section of town to section of town, sometimes exploring on your own, sometimes doing things for people you meet in order to get what you need.

Tirama and Meg, don't forget that we still get a punch for our PCCs, as long as we redeem them on Bonus Punch Mondays!

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I'm debating on my 75% off game at GameHouse.  I could get Gardens Inc 2 PE, $20 - 40% = $12 - 75% = $3, but there's only 5 bonus levels, but it includes strategy guide.  That would also give me 3 punches towards another 75% off and Princess Isabella for $1.20 would give me another.  Or I can just get a regular game, for $1.50 with the sale and my discount.  The regular game would either be Shadow Shelter or a 10-games-in-1 M3 bundle.  I have to decide by tomorrow.

For my 2 PCCs I can use at BFG I"m choosing between True Fear, Alices Mind Snare, Shadow Shelter, The Others, Raincliff Phantoms, Space Legends, or Jack and the Sky Kingdom.  At least I'm getting a wish list built up for a future BOGO.

Oh, I haven't.  The change is making it more difficult for me to fill a pcc, and more difficult to fihure out HOW to fll a pcc, but I'm happy that I've got some games to choose and will be getting at least one new one, maybe two, on Monday.

Haven't finished any games this month, but I did finish filling out my tax return today.  So Uncle Sam will be happy.

Wendy, as I have every game you've listed except Jack and the Sky Kingdom (that one just didn't grab me so I won't be getting it) but haven't played them all yet, I can't help you much.  However, the Magical Mystery Match 3 10-in-1 Bundle (which I have) for the price of one SE is really good value.  I have both Garden Inc. games, the second one the Platinum Edition.

As you know, Shadow Shelter and The Others are my 2 fav SEs at the moment and I'd recommend those over Space Legends, Jack and the Sky Kingdom and Mind Snares: Alice's Journey (which I've played and is also good but not as good as the other 2 IMHO).

I have the CE of both Mystery Trackers: Raincliff's Phantom and True Fear: Forsaken Souls but haven't played them yet so I can't comment.  However, True Fear is one I've really been looking forward to playing, but I've been trying to start cutting down on my unplayed list and so have been playing shortish SEs rather than longer CEs.  But True Fear is the first CE I'll be playing, probably after the one I'm playing now.

But Wendy, you have to use a code (TASTY) this time to get the 40% discount at GH, it's not just 40% off everything automatically like they sometimes have, and you can only put one code in, like at BFG, so you can only get either 40% off or 75% but not both.  Sorry.

Tirama, is does make it harder, doesn't it?

WTG, you, filling out your tax return!  I can't remember the last time I had to fill one out as, having been too ill to work and having been on a disability pension for 25 years, I haven't had to fill one out since what seems like forever.

My ratio of bought to played games so far this month is - 1 bought, 5 played.    But no matter how many games I play I don't even seem to be making a dent in my Waiting To Play list!

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I actually have my tax return done, too  All I owe is for SS, but I don't have the money to pay it so I'll send in the return for now and hopefully I'll have the money within a month.  There's a number you can call about  not being able to pay right away, I suppose I should call it.

Thanks for the heads up Stusue.  Guess I won't worry about it for awhile, then.  I have until early June to use my 75% coupon.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Just a follow up on  the Vikings,  (the game,  not our football team)  which I'm still playing.  For one thing,  I always play in relaxed mode,   if available.  It's a little frustrating when the fires keep going out,  but doable,  and not as bad as some other games.  What I really wanted to alert you on is this:  all you arachnophobes,  BE WARNED!   The  Vile Spiders  (that's what they call them)  don't go away,  but seem to have become a feature of the game.  Still,  they're not as bad as rescuing people
trapped in their cocoons.
