Sun- in the library in the upper hall, make sure you go off to the right zoom in to the bookcase and grab the full moon before you do anything else in that room. I think that will fix it. The problem was i didn't remember what the issue was it was so long ago that I first played it so I think I repeated the error.

Oops, I saw this too late as I have already done stuff in the library and full moon is no longer there.  I must restart game over again.

stusue...Thanks also, but missed seeing it first time in library and now not there anymore.  Yes,  it has been a  pain in the neck that this game plays too wide for my monitor.

Sunshine, it wasn't the first thing I did in the library; I zoomed into the small desk first and looked at the book (but didn't see the small photo I needed - I kept on being taken back to the desk by the Hint button but kept on missing it. )  Anyway, I didn't zoom into the bookcase on the right until after I'd looked at the desk and was moving the cursor around to see what else there was to do there.  It's right in the middle on the far right of the scene.  Oh, which means that you probably wouldn't be able to see it on your screen as it's right on the edge of the screen, right in the middle.    You'll have to put it in Windows Mode again to see it!

Oh, and Sunshine, I've just found the necklace you need.   ** It's in the box that Malger has in the room behind the tavern - but you need a code to open it. **

I think sun will have to restart.  Once that hint button stops working you're toast.  There is no way to zoom in to that bookcase on the right after that.

I started Cursey Tales Crooked man and Crooked Cat last night. Very nice looking game.  I do like the layered puzzles.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Yippee!  I've finished Fairly Twisted Tales

I liked the storyline but I really didn't like the way at the end you went from one end of town to do a HOS to get one item them back to the other end of town to do another HOS to get another item, then to another far flung part of the map to do yet another HOS to get one item, etc, especially as there was no reason that I could see as to why I should go to those scenes.    Had I not looked at the SG at the end I would still be going from scene to scene to scene, just trying to find something I could do.  But I liked the Happy Ending, even though, of course, I knew how it was going to end.

I googled Big Top Games and found their website, and calling it sparse would be generous!    This is their entire 1-page website:

That's it!  No tabs, no links, not even any links or info about any of their games!  I've never seen such a minimalist website in my life.    But it's the first development company I've seen that's located in America.

Yes, I had to start over with a new profile. I had already did the librarian statue by the time I figured out that I couldn't find the full moon and then I tried library in windowed mode and  I wasn't able to zoom in to the right spot anymore.

Stusue...That was very quick playing.  I also liked the story.  I Thought it was very well done so I didn't mind restarting.
I guess Big Top Games don't want to toot their own horn or something.  I wonder why even bother with a webpage.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I'm still playing Nevertales CE.  I've stopped and started several times and I have no problem remembering the storyline and what I'm doing.  There's nothing super spectacular about any part of it but it just all fits together so nicely.  All the different types of  HOs, for lack of a better word.  You just never know what you're going to get when you zoom into something and it just doesn't matter because they're all delightful.  The main story keeps moving forward, albeit slowly, and all the side stories play into it.  I'm loving the guy reading the book the best of all, his voice is soooo good.  I like that there's a rose in every scene and you know if you've gotten it or not.  I love the morphs in the HOs, although it makes it pretty impossible to do one in less than a minute.   I'm very happy I got the CE version.

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.

Speaking of betas, I did one for Fright by Lesta Games.  I am going to keep my out for this one.  After playing True Fear I was searching around for another spooky one and I think that this one might be it.

I played the beta for Fright and I totally agree, Sunshine  I shall certainly be keeping an eye out for this game.

I loved the unique way you 'found' the HOSs and the two I played were very imaginative, especially the way in one you had to move from where you were to somewhere else to get the last item.    I also really liked the graphics and the story seemed really weird, strange, odd.    Which I loved!    The people were all acting so strangely.    It also had the best crash I've seen in a game.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Oscar, I was just playing Seven Seas Solitaire (yes, STILL! but I think I have less than 50 levels to go now - wow is this game long!) whilst watching TV but I couldn't keep my eyes open so thought I'd better go to bed.  I was just checking what was on TV before I went to bed when I noticed that "Autopsy" was on.  And guess where the murder happened...  Myrtle Beach!!!!  I still don't know where it is but at least I now know what it looks like.    And the murder took place on the beach!

It wasn't me! Funny my hairdresser was down there as well.  It would have been a hoot to run in to her there.

Geez how many levels have you completed?  Certainly getting your money's worth for that one.

I'm going to have to try Fright.
