In the 8 envolope mini for the Shot of India there's a stamp of a nurse, Clara Maass, which says "She gave her life".  I just looked her up.  She was a nurse around 1900, in the Spanish American War.  She nursed people with contagious diseases and volunteered to be bitten by mosquitos with yellow fever to prove that was how the disease was transmitted.  The first time she got a mild case and recovered.  She did it again to try and prove that the first time gave her immunity but she died within a week.  She was paid $100 for being a test subject, and presumably another $100 for becoming ill.  I can't decide if she was courageous or stupid.  She was 25.

I finished all the new quests.  You don't need to get The Beaded Marriage doll.  You WILL be sent to the Secret Library for one of the quests.  I hit a glitch there, lost all my energy and had to back out of the HO.  Was going to let the quest sit until BoomZap finally fixed that place.  Played Capt Matthew's place in Bridgeport and what do you know?  The same item was available there and the quest accepted it.

The best things to sell for you, Lily, are the cheap resource things.  The Posh, the Deerstalker only take 1 and the 5 hammer gets the Sakura, sells for at least 5,000  4 paint is the Leisure picture, 7 is the Silver Knife.  In Breezy Bay 3 and 4 envelopes gets you th Mini-saucer and Great Wall which sell for 9000 and 7000.  4 glue is the Red Rolla, I sold a ton at 4495.  8 magnify gets the Clay water clock, somewhere between 10-15,000 depending how many are on the market.  3 nets is the Taj Mahol, 7,000.  Tweezers has a lot of good ones, 3 is Strong Man, 4 is Mad boy (10,000), 7 is Play Poster and 8 is Earthen Luxury, 10-15,000.  Gloves kinda suck, I sell most of the resources that make up the glove collection cause I don't like to do it, but 7 is Security Poster, 8 is Beechwood Medal, and 10 is Daimyo's REply.  Fish is easy, 3 for Young Turk, 4 Happy Girl, 7 Fanny poster, and 8 Taste of Heaven.  Bird I mainly use for the expensive ones, 12 The Philipine Lib. Medal and 16 Distinguished Service Medal.  I don't know if the update changed it, but higher than 8 is usually hard to get, 8 and under drops almost every time except Shot of America at 5 in the Butterfly.

I just made pro in San Fran which opened up a mini for me and then I paid 22 gold to open up another so now I can make the gold set with the Distinguished Service Medal, it gives 30 Magnifying glasses and I play that mini a lot.  The medals are a bit hard to sell, though, I think because there's so many of them who can remember what's what and which they need  I did just sell my first one I see, as I went to check just now which resource it gave.  Time to put another one on the auction block.  I  cashed in several sets to get a gold collection reward, the cheesecake.

Well I just bit the bullet and started downloading the new version.  I'll be skipping over the whole Valentine's so it will be interesting to see  how it plays out.  I have over 30 Beaded Dolls of Marriage and a bunch of Rococos and Shots of America stashed from the Butterfly game since that one is hardest to win in the normal course of events.
