stusue... Regarding Grimville.  I must have made some bad choices throughout the game because I definetely didn't like my ending.  I don't quite remember what it was, but at the time I was thinking that I got the worst ending that they had.

I finished Death at Cape Porto: A Dana Knightstone Novel.  I played the SE and it took me 5 1/2 hours in hardest mode.  I took the advice of Tirama and/or Oscar that they were disappointed with the CE due to it being easy & short.  With achievements like completing 1 chaper in a 1/2 hour I got the SE and I was pretty satisfied with that.

Bummer, Sunshine, I'd hoped you'd got the "good" ending so I'd know how that ended.    There's no way I'm going to play it again to find out.

I can't remember why, but I didn't like the demo of Death at Cape Porto at all and so didn't even get the SE.  I don't mind when I don't like a game, though, as it means one less game will be added to my To Play list.

Welcome back oscar!  I'm so glad the weather was warmer and you had sun.  I'm also glad that you had a relaxing vacation.

I'll get the CE of EMBERWING if for no other reason than to support the developer.

I think Stusue asked, I read that the bonus of Emberwing is very long.  A few people said it took 2 hours.

I think I have 5 more levels to go on Hello Venice 2.  I really wanted to finish it yesterday, but my shoulder was hurting and I needd to spend time sorting out Tiffany's (my shih tzu) hair bows.

I haven't gotten my MC coupon yet.  I just sent an email to BFG, then I got thinking, did we have to actually open the game or just download it?  I uninstalled and redownloaded but I didn't open it up.

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.

I don't know, Wendy, they didn't say you had to actually open the game but I did as Tirama suggested, just in case, and opened it and I think played for 5 secs.  And I got my coupon last week.

Good luck finishing the last 5 levels, Tirama  I hope you've had lots of fun playing it!

I hope you got all Tiffany's hair bows sorted out.    (Sorry, but that's the closest I could find to a hair bow. )

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Well, I've just finished Flower of Immortality, one of my really old games.

I'm not really sure what to say about it.  It's really old and looks it.  However, it sure wasn't easy by any means and it had some really unique puzzles.  The Hint button was also unique in that you could get up to 4 extra hints (so that you didn't have to wait while it recharged) and you got those by getting 3 objects in the HOSs within 3 seconds.  I really enjoyed that and so didn't mind using the extra hints (you just clicked on them while the Hint button was recharging) as I knew I could get more in the next HOS.  It was great in that there was actually a reason to find objects quickly, rather than just getting an achievement for it.  I also loved the graphics (especially all the rocks), although the people weren't nearly as well done.    I also had to get used to the cursor and the way it changed but it wasn't a problem.  But I enjoyed playing it and that's all that really matters!

I'll have to see who the developers were and see what else they've made since, as I'd love to see a recent game from them.

ETA:

Well, I've just checked and the developers are Litera Laboratories in Russia.  They have 9 games listed on their website, including the Diamon Jones games and Aladdin and the Magic Skull, but Flower of Immortality wasn't listed.  Nor was the latest that I could find from them, Legacy, Witch Island.   I don't think they've updated their website for a looooong time.    They only have a handful of people, unlike the latest Artifex Mundi game that had 105 people listed in the credits!!!!  ** thud **

Wendy -- I played 2 HOs and then waited until I got the coupon.  When that came I deleted MC.

stusue -- Is FLOWERS OF IMMORTALITY the complete name?  I looked and I don't have a game named that.  But then I don't own all the gamesd BFG sells -- it just seems like it!  (hoping this is an embarrassed smilie)

Yes, Oscar, I read that, too.  I wasn't sure about getting the CE but I finished the demo and came acrosss a few things that I loved, and I remembered how much I loved the first Botanica (I haven't played the second one yet).  So, as the code still worked today (unlike last Monday), and the bonus was a lot longer than usual, I got it.
