Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Oops, sorry, Tirama  I wasn't very clear, was I?

What I meant was that I wasn't going to get it.  I don't particularly like dragging the cursor around in M3 games and, even though I had fun, I just wasn't bowled over with excitement when I was playing the demo.  However, the clincher for me was that I didn't like the gardens that I got to create; I couldn't find flowers that went together to make a nice garden and there wasn't much choice in creating them.    Hence I was very interested in your opinion.    So thank you!    Have fun playing!

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I've just finished Fatal Passion: Art Prison SE  What a great game!    I so wish I'd got the CE of this game instead of the CE of Danse Adagio.  When I finished playing I just wanted to continue.  I wonder what the bonus chapter was...

It has superb graphics, some of the best I've seen, maybe even in Nearwood's league.    It seemed to be light adventure with HOGs and puzzles rather than the other way around.  There was variety in the HOGs and, as I said earlier, thinky puzzles.  There may not have been a abundance of puzzles but each one took some time, thought, and fiddling - and they were fun!    And, as someone said in one of the reviews, the gameplay was very, very smooth.  I played it in one afternoon but it was fun.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

If you install MIdnight Castle on your PC by 11:59 PM March 11 (That's BF Time), Next week they will send you a coupon for 60% off  your next PC game.  Here's the link with the info.
http://bigfishgames.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2174

And yes, the offer is good for those already playing, you just have to delete and reinstall.   I have no idea if the coupon is good for CE's or only SE's and whether the 60% off refers to retail prices or Member prices.

Make sure you are signed into your account when you download.

Hi, Tirama  I downloaded MC as soon as I saw it this morning.  I have no intention of playing it but it only says you have to download it, not that you have to play it!    I read the fine print and it says that it's good for CEs or SEs but nowhere could I find whether it was 60% off retail or member prices.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Hi, stusue - I'm going to at least sign into the game and establish an id.  Have no idea what BF will be checking.  Can't remember if this game asks for your e-mail addy as part of your id.  I want my discount coupon!

60% off non-member prices would be 3.99 for a SE,  7.99 for a CE.  If I can use the coupon in April on a BPM, then with my 2 PCC's that expire in April I could fill a card.  SO I might just open my wallet for something ther than my game club membership (haven't done that since Oct 2012) and give BF some cash.

My ISP is still putting my pcc e-mail in my junk folder.

Good point, Tirama!  I'll do that as well as I want my discount coupon, too!

Apart from spending $1.99 for one CE the weekend before last when they had that sale, I haven't given any cash to BFG apart from my monthly club membership since they had the 75% GCC sale February 2013 (I still have a few of those left) and before that the 50% GCC sale May 2012 (I only recently finally used all of those ).

All my game confirmation and PCC emails go directly into a special BFG game folder and then I just move the PCC emails into their own folder, before moving them into another folder for used PCCs once I've used them.  Apart from keeping note of all my current and used PCCs in my BFG folder, it's another way of making sure I use them before they expire.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Woohoo, I just redeemed my monthly GCC from GH.  I demoed today's new game and then couldn't hit the Buy button quick enough!  It's a turn-based battle M3 that requires real strategy.  Do you make one of the attack matches or one of the defence matches?    Do you make one of the matches to build up one of the powerups?    Or do you match diamonds so that you can buy more powerful attack and defence matches?    What's happening to your opponent?  Is he in defence mode so it's better not to make attack matches as they won't damage him, or have you frozen him so you should attack while he can't defend himself?

It's called Quest of the Sorceress and I hope it gets to BFG quickly for any of you who like that sort of fun and different M3 game.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I am playing Scary Tales: Hail to King Mongo that I just got on Monday.  Scary Tales - my foot.  More like scary as in saturday morning cartoon scary.  I am probably being unfair to the game since I am so tired.  It takes me a few days to adjust to Daylight Savings Time.  Actually it is not too bad.  I picked this one to play because some of the reviews said it would be short.

stusue...Glad you found a game that you are excited about.

I loved the two Puzzle Quest games and this one sounds similar, I'll have to check it out.  I like the battle M3s
