I wonder what's going to go next...

Stusue...That pop up deal is still there.  I just redeemed 2 pccs.  The first game I got was Dark Parables: Jack and the Sky Kingdom.  I got my one punch and my pop up deal was Heroes From the Past: Joan of Arc.  My second pcc I got Revived Legends: Road of the Kings and got 1 more punch and my pop up deal was 10 Talismans.  I also got the DD Scarytales: All Hail King Mongo got a punch and bonus punch and my pop up deal was Call of Atlantis: Treasures of Poseidon.

I used to take advantage of the pop-up deals when they were 3.99, but when BF raised their price to 4.99 I don't think I have bought any.  Also, I remember a few times when I had no pop-up deal at all.

Well, I just got Fatal Passion with a PCC and, once again, when I downloaded straight away no pop up deal popped up.    I never get a deal when I don't download straight away from the purchasing screen but I've always had one pop up whenever I've downloaded directly from there.  Weird.

Rats!  It's going to be much harder to fill PCCs now.  But since you only get a punch on BPM with them ...  I was going to buy the new MYSTERY OF UNICORN CASTLE.  That would have filled a punch card.  Now I have 2 punches  that might very well go *poof*.  My PCCs don't expire until well into April.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Stuesue, yes I have the Zylom Fun Pass and they have occasional sales, like this weekend you played some kind of ball game and I got 80% off!!! I tried to buy Gardens Inc 2 Premium Edition  as I love it, but it wasn´t possible to buy, no matter how I tried, logged out and everything. BTW at Zylom all games are the same price even the premiums, maybe because of the awful high prices  $43.13 €31.04

The reason I was thinking about Fun Tickets was the Premium Editions, but on the other hand some games like Elephant and Eipix never comes to GH... decisions, decisions

The reason that I have two Felix is that I cancelled my membership at "the overseas debacle" but my
withdrawals were so strong so I had to rejoin. I started at the swedish site and poof another Felix showed up
It´s rather good because the first one was the kind that should sit beside the screen (I got "the new improved velero" before Felix ) and the new one is the "stand alone".

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

The only reason I've filled a card this month is because I had that special code for a CE which I used last Monday.  Today I used a pcc and got Hello Venice 2: New York Adventure.  That finished my card.

I have 2 pcc's that expire in April and 1 that expires in May.  Only way I'll be filling a card next month is if there's a half-price sale on a CE I want and I decide to spend cash since we can't use our GCC's during a half-price sale, only during BOGO's.

I have 3 customer service codes which should give me 2 punches if used on  BPM.  I'll worry about next month, well, next month.  I very well may not fill a card during month's in which there's no BOGO sale, but I'm not going to start buying so-so DD's or COW's or whatever just t get a free game.

For those that are planning to switch to Game House, I would advise checking out their game releases for a two month period to get a feel for what they have to offer.

As far as I can see, they don't sell games by ERS, Elephant, BoomZap, Eipix Entertainment, etc so if you mostly buy HOPA's, you might not be happy with the switch.  Being able to get a CE for 9.99 each month sounds great, unless there's no CE that you want.  And the Fun Tickets expire after 60 days.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

True, Tirama, hence I have both a BFG membership for CEs (using GCCs) and SEs of CEs (using PCCs I get from the CEs during a BOGOF).  I then have a FunPass with GameHouse for all the straight SEs as they seem to get most - if not all - that BFG gets and often well before BFG gets them.  And I can play them all without having to buy them, although I buy some of their discounted games and use the PCCs and my monthly GCCs to get games I'd play more than once, like TMs and M3s.  It's also great when they have Platinum games on sale when they also have a 50%-off sale so you can get them really cheaply - if you want those games, that is.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I've been playing Fatal Passion all afternoon and I love it!    It's even better than I'd expected and now I'm starting to wish I'd bought the CE.  I was thinking of getting the CE today with the sale but, when the code was no longer valid, I decided to just get the SE as it's supposed to be a really short game.  But wow, the graphics are amazing and you have to think when you do the puzzles.  They're not so much difficult as thinky ones and so far I love them, although I skipped one that I did really easily during the demo but this time I got myself all mixed up and so skipped it this time.  However, had I got the CE, I think you can replay the minigames.

Well, gotta go shower and wash my hair now as it's the vampires for me again first thing in the morning.    But then I'm back to Fatal Passion!

Exactly.  Game House may very well be the better choice for TM fans, however, HOPA players may need to think twice before they make a switch.

A lot of the things people complain about with BF, well, things aren't all that much different elsewhere.  The forum rules are just about the same for all game site: no mentioning of the competitors or sales elsewhere.

People complain about the "ads"  BF has for Games You Will Love?  Well Game House has ads for other products on their website.

If you're disgruntled because pcc's expire in 60 days, are you going to be happy about credits you've paid for expiring in 60 days?

Annoyed when an SE of a CE is released, or game is released for PC that was previously released for Mac and therefore is not a "new" game?     How will you feel belonging to a club that doesn't release a game every day?

To string together some cliches:  Look before you leap.  The grass isn't necessarily greener on the other side of the fence.  Don't cut your nose off to spite your face.   In other words, don't hurt yourself in order to "get back"  at BF for making changes.  There's no one game club that's right for everybody.

Well, BFG really is tightening the punch system.  I just tried this weekend's code for a CE and guess what, they've stopped the codes being valid the following day!    It sure was great while it lasted.

Oh rubbles, I am sorry to hear that as I was going to get Grim Legends: The Forsaken Bride today at the sale price.

Bummer, Sunshine  What a game to have to wait to play!    But have you tried it yourself?    It told me that the code had expired every time I tried it.

I just tried it with the CE code and it said "There was a problem proccessing your request.  We're sorry for the inconvenience.  Please try again later".

This is the reason I am not giving up my BF membership.  I love all these developers especially ERS and Eipix .  Also, I don't see other sites selling Blue Tea Games.  Well Gamehouse does sell the first two Dark Parables.  Curse of Briar Rose & The Exiled Prince.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

stusue - not sure what having a big fat x next to a game means.

I haven't played that much of the New Hello Venice, but one thing which I think is different is that after you buy flowers, tress or whatever, if you change your mind and wish you had bought something different, the price to switch is very cheap.

On the forum, somebody complained that you can switch from timed to untimed mode during the game, but you can't switch back to timed.  Since I usually play my M3 games in untimed mode, that's not an issue for me.

Like the first game in teh series, the story is lame, but I don't play M3's for the story, so, again not an issue for me.  I just like fixing up the gardens, and I like the "drag your curser to connect 3 or more" M3 games, and I like trying to push the water to get all the flowers to bloom.  So far, I'm happy with my acquisition.
