Hello everyone! I'm enjoying 20C weather and lots of Sunshine. Such a big change it's lovely. Today we just begged after all the driving, my poor ankles and feet are getting iced down. They have issues. Tomorrow we are off to see the ocean and maybe do some shopping. Sis decided she couldn't do a week with no internet so we got it, although it's not the greatest it'll do! Just have my IPad though so no games in the evening. We do board games so that's fun. Time change here and back home as well. It used to be later Stusue but they changed it. Take care, it's margarita night! I'll cheers to you all.

Oscar, I'm so glad you all got there safely!    It sounds lovely - 20C and sun.    Here it's really warm and sunny but nothing like 20C.    I hope you all have a great time, enjoying the sun, beach and shopping!    And take care of your feet and ankles!

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Well, BFG really is tightening the punch system.  I just tried this weekend's code for a CE and guess what, they've stopped the codes being valid the following day!    It sure was great while it lasted.

Oh, well, that makes it really easy as to what games to get today.    I'll use my free CE coupon code to get Lost Lands: Dark Overlord CE and use 2 PCCs to fill a punch card.  I'm going to get Fatal Passion: Art Prison SE and one other, but I haven't decided on that one yet.    Fortunately, I have 8 PCCs expiring next month so using 2 now will leave 6 for next month, which will = one punch card.

I just hope they don't stop BPMs so that we can still get one punch when we use PCCs.  And I also sure hope they don't stop BOGOFs!

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I've just noticed another change - well, at least I haven't noticed it before.    It's only a small one, but still...

I just got the CE I wanted to get and then, after the purchase had gone through using my free coupon, I clicked to download it straight away.  Whenever I've done that before a box has come up offering another game at a discounted price.  I've never taken advantage of any of those games but the offer has always come up.  But not this time.  They really do seem to be taking away lots of benefits and making it harder for members to justify staying members.  Especially as so few of their sales offer a better deal for members.

I have no problem with BFG and no problem with whatever business decisions they make.  However, there have been so many changes these past 6 months and I can't think of a single one that was a positive change for its members, or have I forgotten something.

I wonder what's going to go next...

Oscar...Glad you are enjoying your holiday and that the weather is nice for it.

Sorry to hear about your feet & ankles.  Maybe you can try a few of these simple ideas to make them feel better.

1.  Soak them in epsom salt water to reduce swelling
2.  Drink water with cucumber and/or lemon slices in it. Since both fruits have anti-inflamatory properties to them.

Stusue...That pop up deal is still there.  I just redeemed 2 pccs.  The first game I got was Dark Parables: Jack and the Sky Kingdom.  I got my one punch and my pop up deal was Heroes From the Past: Joan of Arc.  My second pcc I got Revived Legends: Road of the Kings and got 1 more punch and my pop up deal was 10 Talismans.  I also got the DD Scarytales: All Hail King Mongo got a punch and bonus punch and my pop up deal was Call of Atlantis: Treasures of Poseidon.

I used to take advantage of the pop-up deals when they were 3.99, but when BF raised their price to 4.99 I don't think I have bought any.  Also, I remember a few times when I had no pop-up deal at all.

Oh rubbles, I am sorry to hear that as I was going to get Grim Legends: The Forsaken Bride today at the sale price.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I´m leaning more and more against leaving BFG (though I been a member since 2005).
I´m hesitating between Fun Ticket and Fun Pass. If I pay an annual Fun Pass do I get a free ticket every month? I read in the help and cannot find anything about it (only that I can buy a game for $5.99). I think I remember that Stuesue said that you get one?

All benefits disappear and on the swedish site they´ve taken away the DD:s and only release CE:s
The last SE was released October 1 and that was Yoda Safari

If there´s a BOGO I can rejoin and I already have 2 Felix fishies

Anki, you have TWO Felix fishies?    I only have one.

I'm also thinking of cancelling my BFG membership once I've exhausted all my GCCs (I still have a way to go).  However, as I think Sunshine pointed out, by staying a member you can accumulate GCCs for when there's a BOGOF so the money's spread out over time rather than having a large expenditure at once if there are a lot of games you want to get.  Plus, you get the benefits of the punch card system without having to worry about being a member before you get the 6th punch.  But as far as I can see they're the only benefits of staying a member.

And, to answer your question, yes, you do get a game coupon code every month with a yearly FunPass with GameHouse, which is what I think you wanted to know.  But you have to use it before the next coupon code is sent to you; for me it's by the 15th of every month.  They're also only valid for SEs, not for CEs, so you'll have to pay for any CEs that you want.  However, with all their daily sales now you can often get them for 50% off, plus the occasional 75% discount.

I'd definitely choose the yearly FunPass over a Fun Ticket membership as they're both about the same price and with a FunPass you get to play ALL the games without having to actually purchase them.    The only benefit of the Fun Tickets is that 2 can be used to get a CE.  Oh, and with the Yearly FunPass you have to pay for the entire year at the beginning of the year.

But didn't you get a FunPass with Zylom just recently?  Zylom Germany keeps on offering a 50% discount for FunPass memberships, as well as the same 50% off sale that GameHouse had over the weekend.

Bummer, Sunshine  What a game to have to wait to play!    But have you tried it yourself?    It told me that the code had expired every time I tried it.
