I just posted, and sold, a bunch of stuff. Most were 1 -5 with buyouts of 2-10. sure i didn't MAKE much money but I did get an auction Achievement. Two, actually. I find it hard to get the buyout Achievement.
Buy some of the junk. There's plenty of stuff out there with buyouts of 2-5 coins. It's worth buying junk to get those achievement awards.
If you need to make some money, try selling something desireable in a set that you're unlikely to complete, or don't need to complete. You don't need paint, bricks, or lumber if you've upgraded all your buildings. Pasminas and deerstalkers usually pay well and are easy to get more of. If you've got some palettes, play the 5 palette game. You can get 5000-7000 for the Leisure Photo.

Thanks Tirama. I have bought some junk to get the bought x # of items Achievement. I find it hard to find buyout items at low prices though. Maybe I should just plug in the name of things that I have tons of and see if they are listed with buyouts.
I'm pretty well upgraded on all my buildings. I do still have to customize 3. I'm ok on money -- for me. Nothing like you and Wendy who have millions.

I haven't customized anything yet. I'm waiting to see what the place looks likes without snow. When you get some time, maybe you'd like to tell us which paint schemes you chose for your buildings.

I only customized the hardware store, I painted it pink Although eventually I might go with the animal themed decor.

I'll do that when I get into the game again. I customized the Antique store and something in Paw Paw (I think). I've got errands to do so I won't get to play til later tonight.

Well, I'm a regular Frank Winfield Woolworth, I managed to unload 3 Hagia Sophia Photos. Only 260 or so left. Whatever shall I buy with my 6 coins?

I just started customizing the Tailoring Shop (I just got done with a half hour stint so no plans to play again soon) and the Pizza Parlor. The timer said 128:00:00! 128 hours? Really? Isn't that like, 5 days? I wasn't sure if I could use them while they were being worked on, that's why I chose those two. I'm doing animal theme. One was a cat, can't remember the other. I'll let you know how they turn out.

I'm undecided. It's between doing the cheap colorful ones or the more expensive Ye Olde English ones. Of course, there's nothing (except coins) stopping us from buying several of all of them and switching them whenever we want.

If we buy the ceap ones and then go for the more expensive I wonder if we pay the difference between the two or if we have to shell out the whole amount for the more expensive one.

I would guess we pay the full amount, same as when we get better stuff for the interior of the antique shop, but we would own both and so we could change back and forth when we wanted something new to look at.
