Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

It's weird how the game runs different for people.  I had that quest not too long ago, and I think I looked it up in the forum and it said to upgrade, I did, and it turned to coins instead of gold.  But I had the red mine glitch and now the W. Virginia glitch where my modes don't change.  I could understand if everyone had the same problem, but some people have one problem others have a different one.  I'm just glad I'm not like poor Lily, seems like she gets every possible problem in every game

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.

Actually, the quest you accidentally skipped was the same one I skipped.  Look at post 282 in this thread.   But, yeah, it's odd that everybody doesn't have the W. Virginia glitch.  Maybe the people who have no problems there were at master before the update.  It seems that when BoomZap adds the special holiday collectibles to an HO scene, it upsets whatever controls the modes and leaves you with whatever modes you had opened up before the update.

I've been having a 5,10,15 sale trying to get rid of all those excess Elephant's kisses, kukris, Big Boy's Wine Mugs, etc.  I've got almost 5.5 million coins.  Need a sale on keepsakes.  Speaking of sales, a while back, some people had a very short (hours) sale on the new bundles.  I didn't see one, did you?

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Wendy -- I haven't had every problem!   I didn't have the Red Mine.  Thank you for your concern though.

I didn't even know about this quest (obviously don't have it yet).  Nope.  Not gonna happen.  As Tirama said the mini can stay locked forever.

I really should try and clear out some of my excess stuff too.  As long as my prices are low enough It'd help me (listing things at auction) and other players (buying things, getting things at buyout price).  As long as it's not the same as AK.  I clear out stuff and then get a quest needing multiples of things.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Yeah, I was randomly looking through locked minis after I posted that and there was that stupid 'Dog Awaits Master" requirement.  Guess it was something else I unlocked by upgrading.  I don't remember if I got the bundle sale since they aren't a very good deal to start with.  I've been mainly selling stuff that makes money collections, you can make more individually.  The resource items I've been keeping except for a few things that sell expensively.  I'd gone down to a few thousand dollars at the end of the food sale, I'm just over a million again.  I haven't played much since the food sale, though, since I only have one quest a day.  Think I will start a normal game today.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I'd buy the large food assortment if it were on sale.  Individually, the items cost 149 gold bars and 12,000 coins.  Bundled, they're only 128 gold bars.  At 25% off, it would only be 96 gold bars.  There's times when I wish I had some  food that DIDN't refill my maximum energy because I'm only 1,000-2,000 away from leveling up.

I wasn't planning to use any of my food until the next big event, but I received the quest for the cameo.  Completed a couple of sets and then thought:  why?  I can get thread elsewhere.  SOld a cameo yesterday for 50,000.  Don't think there's many quests after teh cameo one, so I'll delay getting the reward until I can't stand playing the yacht anymore.

Not playing my daily quest.  I'd have to play the boat builders too many times to get the mini game open.

I'm selling stuff from the money collections, and stuff from the building resources collections (I'm closing in on 5,000 bricks) exceptions being the platinum items, since I still need to make sets to earn the achievements.  Also sell a lot of the Pashmina scarf, the Leisure photo, and the Deerstalker, but those are easy to get more of.

I've got 5.5 million coins.  I'd like a sale on the stuff to fix up the inside of the store, or a sale on keepsakes, or a sale on bundles, or another food sale.  Or heck, put everything on sale.

Bundles?  I saw a tab for Bundles  but didn't know what they were.  When I clicked it it just said "you don't have any bundles".  Yeah.  I knew that!

If you want to BUY bundles, you have to go to the store.  The tab on your inventory is for the ones you own.  When you want to use something in the bundle, you click on the bundle and then all the items go into your food tab.  At least, that's what somebody posted in the BF forum.  I haven't bought any bundles, so I can't give you a first hand experience.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Day 2 of the Would Somebody PLEASE Buy My Junk Sale.

I only have 100 Elephant Kisses left.  I have over 200 of the Haiga Sophia.  Even if I offered to paid somebody 5 coins to take one, I doubt I'd get any takers.  I can't believe the amount of stuff I've collected during the Valentine's quest.  I hope the next holiday quests take us to different locations than the last one so we can acquire an excess of different stuff.

I accidentally played Gloves 5 minigame instead of Gloves 7.  What sadist designed that one?

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I just posted, and sold, a bunch of stuff.  Most were 1 -5 with buyouts of 2-10.  sure i didn't MAKE much money but I did get an auction Achievement.  Two, actually.  I find it hard to get the buyout Achievement.
