I made sure to get my free Alexander the Great. He's my favorite ancient historical personage. I'm assuming it's the same gave BFG had a while back, it didn't get outstanding reviews but I've still always wanted it and now it's mine
I'm going to be gone all day tomorrow and I'm not sure what I want so tomorrow night will be hectic. If I wake up soon enough I can buy a few in the morning. It's hard because I've pretty much ignored all the new releases since the beginning of the year so now I'm scrambling. I'm only planning on using 3 or 4 GCCs, I have a PCC and I should end up with 8 or 10 games out of it.

I got a new computer!
My hard drive had a major meltdown Friday morning and I was waiting for Samsung to send me a recovery disk and then to see if that solved the problem or if I needed to replace the hard drive. DH wanted a new laptop for Christmas, but couldn't make up his mind which one or whether he should get a tablet, so we didn't get anything. His father got him an android tablet for his birthday (2 days before Christmas) so he was happy.
Anyway, he told me to get a new laptop and he would fix the other one and I could choose which one was mine and he would take the other one. So I got an ASUS with an i7 processor, 1TB hard drive, dedicated graphics card with 8 GB memory, backlit keyboard, full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution, and a matt screen.
I lost all my progress on Call of the Ages and I'll have to start Awakening Kingdoms all over again. But because I had signed up for a cloud account on American Road Trip: American Dreamin', I didn't lose my progress. Thank you, BoomZap, for offering that option, and please put it on all free to play games. I keep a spread sheet with info about my completed games and I had been listing which jigsaws I've completed, so I won't have to redo them when I download Jigsaws Galore. (I save the spread sheet data to an external drive).

Timara...How exciting to get a new computer. It sounds like it would be a good one for gaming and with 1 TB hard drive you can store lots of games on it. May I ask what antivirus you had in your old one?
For better or worse I chose my 4. I tried to get ones with good stories and by looking at the videos and reading the reviews. Also, I didn't get any of the ones in which I haven't played the others in the series yet.
While reading the reviews I found a couple examples of plagerism. Maybe just a sentence or two, but it was word for word.
1. Dangerous Games: Prisoners of Destiny
2. Cruel Collections: The Any Wish Hotel
3. Bluebeard's Castle: Son of the Heartless - I played the first one and I remember that I liked it.
4. Order of Light: The Deadly Artisan
It seems like a lost of ghostly games nowadays. Better than that run of demon games that we had. I can wait for Mysterium: Lake Bliss when it comes as a DD
stusue...I see Gamehouse has released the update for The Curse of the Silent Marshes (don't you just love that title). The description of that game reminds me a little bit of Stephen King's book It.

sunshinej - I use Norton. Last week, my washing machine took a hit. It's a front-loader, all electronics controls, lots of bells and whistles. Luckily it was still under the extended warranty contract, so no cost to me. I'm thinking that the unusual number of thunderstorms and power glitches we've had we've this year may have contributed to the breakdowns. My UPS has been working overtime.
Yes, my new computer is a gaming machine. Says Republic of Gamers right on the cover. It's fast! Of course, I don't have that much software on it yet, just enough to get me up and running. I need to have a program installed so I can see how my DVD's run on this machine - I watch all my Region 2 DVD's on the computer.
And wonder of wonders, when using my old backup laptop with Win7, I was missing Win8. It's good to have it back.

Tirama -- Congrats on the new computer! Sounds wonderful! I think I should probably back up ART even though I'm no where near your progress.
I'll have to take a look at the BFG games. I've been remiss keeping up too.

That's great news Tirama, like having Christmas in February! I hope you enjoy it.
I am getting all the ones I noted before except not Shadow Shelter. I had it already but had not activated it. So I think I'll get Mysterium Lake Bliss in its place. so I got 8 CE and 2 SE and I spent just over $42.36 (I pay $14.12 per game) and used three GCCs. I received 6 free games, and I have lots to use them on. It's going to take all day to download.
Sun - I love the title of that game. It sounds very eerie.
Darn I missed the game giveaway. I meant to do it and just forgot. I may have to move and I have been very preoccupied with that.

I have been playing Hidden Expedition Smithsonian Hope Diamond. I love this game, it's just fun! Has anyone played and got all the gold crowns on the HO scenes? I played a few thru again to try last night and it is hard. These multi-tiered HOs are time consuming! There is so much to do, with the fact cards to read and the extras, very very nice. Two thumbs up from me.

Thanks, everybody. I'm really loving my new machine. It's very similar to the old one, so I don't have that new machine stress I usually suffer from when switching computers. I've downloaded very few games - I'm liking the look of the uncluttered desktop. I'll have to play a CE and find some nice wallpaper. Going to give it another day or two and then think about trying Awakening Kingdoms again and giving World Mosaics Chroma - Free to play another shot.

I bought 2 CEs (Dark Parables & Mystery of the Ancients) and 2 old SEs. I had 2 GCCs so I didn't have to use any additional money (the SEs were purchased with PCCs) and I got 2 more PCCs.
I was going to get Shadow Shelter but it just seemed too dark and demonic. I'm just not in that kind of mooid.

I finished Sea of Lies: Mutiny of the Heart CE, main game and bonus chapter. I played on Easy mode and it sure was easy...even the puzzles were easy. Lots of HO scenes but it had nice graphics. I felt that the main game ended rather abruptly and the story does continue in the bonus chapter.
Next I'm going to play Mayan Prophecies: Cursed Island.
Today I just bought 2 CEs and 4 SEs using the 4 gccs that I had accumulated, no cash outlay.
Amaranthine Voyage: Living Mountains CE
Dark Parables: Jack and the Sky Kingdom CE
Mythic Wonders: Philosopher's Stone
Undiscovered
The Far Kingdoms
Clutter 3: Who is the Void
