Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I find I have been getting way less games since I started all these FTP games. They keep me too busy.
I will get Mystery Trackers tomorrow as I love that series.

(((((Barre))))) thanks so much for the egg you sent. I am just collecting money and stocking up on things until they do an update.

I am hoping they come out with some good SE's soon. I have a pcc due to expire the last day of the month plus 3 more that will expire the following month. Will use GCC's for MT . Even the sales don't tempt me anymore and I wouldn't even buy if there was a sale on GCC's. Just not that interested in what is coming out lately.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Gov, you're welcome.  I knew that I would never get enough money to "hatch" that egg and I saw that you wished for it so I thought might as well make you happy  and if you ever want food for that bird, I've got lots so just wish for it.

By the way, don't you have any problems getting into Midnight Castle today?  I have been reading the forums and since the update for Awakening Kingdoms, lots of people are having problems with game freezing, message that they are not connected to the internet, etc.  I have those issues too with AK and ART.  Some people had everything wiped out and they had to start from scratch.  That makes me afraid to go into the game again until I hear that Boomzap is dealing with the situation.  I wouldn't want everything in my game wiped out....that would freak me out!!

Good time for me to go back to my regular games....and plan what to buy during this sale.  I'll try and finish off Sea of Lies CE tonight, then play some demos.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I'm thinking I'd might like to get 2 CE's on Monday, but only if I can find somebody to trade a pcc with.  Otherwise I'd have to buy 6 CE's to make my cards come out even, or find 4 more SE games this month, and I can't see that happening.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Stusue, I'm still trying to figure out exactly how many to buy.  Here is my maybe list:

Amaranthine Voyage: Living Mountains CE
Dark Parables: Jack and the Sky Kingdom CE
Mythic Wonders: Philosopher's Stone
Fall of the New Age
Undiscovered
The Far Kingdoms
Clutter 3: Who is the Void
European Mystery: Face of Envy CE
Mystery Trackers: Raincliff's Phantoms CE
Bluebeard's Castle: Son of the Heartless

That's it for now, I'm trying to balance my punch card so have to work it out.  Right now I have 2 punches on a card, trying more demos tonight and tomorrow.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Thanks, everyone, for all your input and for letting me know which games you're getting (or thinking of getting).    I've made a few decisions but I'm not finished yet.

However, Game Giveaway of the Day's  FREE  game today is ...

Alexander the Great

I played this game last year on GameHouse and really liked it.  I didn't get it as I'd already played it but now I'm REALLY glad to get it free as you learn a lot about Alexander the Great.  The gameplay's also quite unique and I love the way you can click on things just for the heck of it, like turn the TV on and off, turn lights on and off, change the photo in the electronic photo frame, etc.  It also has scrolling screens, like the first one where you can only see half the room in each screen, but you click to scroll and you can turn the scrolling off to a quick change (but I like scrolling ).  It's also quite long, if I remember correctly, and you go to various places, the first being Pella in Greece.  You also have a smart phone which you can use to take screenshots (which are saved on your computer so you can send them to other people in RL) and it also has a manual, replayable cutscenes, replayable video calls you make, etc.

However, one thing that I don't remember having the last time I played it is having Mystery of Mortlake Mansion playing in the background.    On the Main Menu page you can choose whether to have this or not.  You're asked: "Open game site Mystery of Mortlake Mansion in the background?".  I have no idea what that means, except when I replayed the first scene in "my" room and at one point I clicked on a flyer for the MoMM game in the first scene (I had to zoom in and then move things to get to it) and it went somewhere near the inventory bar at the bottom.    I have no idea what that's for as I couldn't find it again but maybe it's like a collectible as well as being free advertising for their other game, Mystery of Mortlake Mansion.

But it's definitely a unique HOPA game that I recommend.  And it's FREE!

Just remember, if you want it, it has to be downloaded and opened today!

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Hooray! A BOGO sale and me with 2 game credits.  I am going for 4 SE games instead of the 2 CEs.  No time to demo so just watching the videos and reading the reviews of biscuitsmama.  She gives a nice sypnosis of the games.   The only game I know for sure is Mysterium: Lake Bliss.  I want the Dark Parables game too, but will wait until it is a SE.

Tirama, I don't mind swapping a PCC with you.  I don't have any expiring this month but there are several SEs I'd like to get so I can get them with PCCs that expire in March if I need to.  I haven't yet worked out how many games I'm getting tomorrow so I don't yet know how uneven my cards will be.  Just let me know.
