Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Barre,  I don't have an organized list,  like you, but I jotted down a few strange things I noticed today.
Got the Daring Deerstalker hat   at Photographer's Steamship mini game.  Later saw one at auction for a  2999 buyout price.
Aylen's quest at the doll shop got me the Cherrywood Darling.  It enabled me to complete the set,  netting  2800 coins.
Yes,  I must agree that Philip's quests are weird.  I did the same quest  (sorting stamps)  5 times;  never an acknowledgement of success,  never got the promised  "Brave Warrior."  Finally ran out of envelopes;  it was still listed as a quest.  I thought it interesting,  though, that,  in the various repeats,  the  "differences"  on the stamps were different.

Sandhan, glad to see you are enjoying this game.  I find the quests from Philip the most annoying because we have to be fast or else we won't get the quest item, and it is not easy to tell the difference among some of the stamps.

I noticed that you are levelling up very quickly in Midnight Castle.  Are you still enjoying that one?

Barre,  Yes,  I'm enjoying MC,  if you can call obsession enjoyment.  Getting awfully tired of re-playing all those hos just to get cash.  Thanks for the Owl food.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

My game started spitting out excess resources and collectibles last night.  Played marathon session and bought mac and cheese 4 times to continue playing, but don't really enjoy game when strategy is removed and all is left is grunt work.

Although my game is still handing out resources and collectibles like candy, I'm going to get the new upgrade.  For one thing, it has an option to save your progress in "the cloud", which means no more worrying about what happens if you get a new computer.  There's also an option to upgrade your vehicle (using gold bars) so that your energy regenerates quicker.

I didn't know there was a new upgrade till you mentioned it....will go do it now....and hope it is still handing out multiple resources after doing it.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

The new upgrade isn't spitting out extras, but yesterday, if when you were playing the mini games, you were receiving the collectible on the first click, that was also part of the great giveaway.

The update went fine for me, no problems.  Game started with a message and a gift of some gold bars.  Funny nobody mentioned that on the BF forum, they're too busy complaining about the cost to upgrade vehicle.  The wharf is now upgradable, I was able to play Captain Matthew's scene.  The in-game e-mails can now be as long as 777 characters.  Still have to figure out how to save to cloud.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I'm scared of the new update.  Some people can't play anymore.  I just figured out a money strategy, that $2999 Deerstalker is me.  Don't know why people pay $3000 for an item they can get using 1 film, but hey, it pumps up my bank account.  I used a money keepsake and all my film and raked in lots of bucks last night.  Did it again today, I used double money so I was getting $5000 for playing the mini and then sellling the collectible for $3000.  I cashed in a few sets for glue, then played one of those games and sold that item for $2999.  I finally cashed enough of my sets to move up to gold lectern, you have to use gold unless you complete enough silver sets, then it lets you use money.  Now I'm working on making gold collectibles, but it's tough.

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Well, I wish I played a few more cities before upgrading because yesterday when I played I got lots of resources.  After the upgrade that isn't happening anymore.  Oh well, you win some you lose some.
I can't wait to play the Valentine's Day new cities, they look great.  I played fine after the upgrade, no problems.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

The instructions for creating the cloud account can be found on BF's forums in the update thread.

Wendy, I wouldn't wait too long to update.  There's a clock cunting down the time before the Valentine's quests begin and it looks like they will start on the 11th.  Dowloading now gives you time to troubleshoot if necessary.
