Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Received the quest to upgrade lecturn to gold.  Also had to go look for Russian Rose locket.  Took 5 tries at teh doll store.  Why couldn't I have received this quest when collectibles were being awarded profusely?  Used up a lot of envelopes at Philip's place also trying for the shot glass.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Got quest for brontasaurus stamp.  Only took 2 tries.  Managed to get cotton stuffed cutie on second try.  Cherry Wood darling is being a challange.  Played at least 3 times.  HOw can I get speed bonus on every itme and not get that dang thing to drop.

It seems some of the old timers continued to get showered with resorces and collectibles yesterday, consequently auction prices on some of the itmes are deflated.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I have a quest to upgrade the lectern to platinum (I think).  Not gonna happen any time soon.  It's very expensive.  I can't do the daily quest because I have to get expert on something to unlock the mini.

Congrats on the stamp and the cotton stuffed cutie.  It took me freaking forever to get that darn cutie!

I played yesterday and didn't get showered with resources.  Why does it happen to some and not to others?  the game seems unstable to me.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I wonder if the resources/collectibles you get are a function of how far you are in a scene.  It seems that I get more stuff if I'm playing a scene that I have all gold trophies.  I'm certainly not getting the huge multiples of resources that I did right after the update.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I really dislike quests from Philip....what he wants is always so difficult to obtain, we have to play the quest several times before we get the item....at least I do so maybe I suck at it.  He has me looking for the rococo flame in the Butterfly sanctuary and that quest needs 12 butterfly nets each time.  I don't have the resource to exchange for 10 butterfly nets so I have to keep playing the HOS that has them.  And the HOS require so much coins each time to play them.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

How about that guy who lured me into a poker game?  Part of the quest was to  "have 10,000 coins."
He didn't say he was going to take it,  the creep!   And I check the mine,  and when I see it's still on
"fast player"  mode,  I just skip it.

I'm wondering if the excess of resources only happens to people who've bought coins or gold.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I wish ART and AK would make a distiction between "have" and "give".  I was not happy to see those 10,000 coins disappear.

I still have the quest for the Cherry Wood Darling, finished upgrading the diner for Philip and Akiko's date, got the dinner jacket, need to get the ball gown.  (Who gets that dressed up to go to a diner?)

HUH?  I don't remember any quest like that and I certainly hope I never get one.
