Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Even though I don't have either an iPad or iPhone, I downloaded iTunes and BFG Casino yesterday and hope I get a code for 80% off my next purchase next week - even CEs!  Then, as soon as I have the code, I'll be deleting both iTunes and BFG Casino.  Nothing says you have to either play it or keep either once you've got the code.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Oscar, I got the Redemption Cemetery: Bitter Frost CE.

I have to use 2 PCCs tomorrow (then either 1 or 4 later PCCs to fill up punch cards) and haven't yet decided which games to get.  However, the choices are ...

Fall of the New Age
Shadow Shelter
Secret Bunker USSR
Secret Trails: Frozen Heart SE
Mysterium: Lake Bliss SE
The Emerald Maiden: Symphony of Dreams SE
Salawander

And I'm about to demo ...

Rebuild the European Empire
Cruel Collections: The Any Wish Hotel
Excursions of Evil

Wow, I didn't realise how many games I had on my possible list!

The sale tempts me, so I could get ...

Dangerous Games: Prisoners of Destiny CE
Mythic Wonders: The Philosopher's Stone CE

but I have SO many unplayed games that I think I can wait for a BOGOF, no matter how much I want to play them (and just hoping we have another one, although I think a BOGOF sometimes follows a BOGO for $1.99, like it did at Christmas ).

I haven't demoed any CE past those 2 so have no idea what the rest are like and whether I want them as CE, SE or not at all.  Oh, sorry, yesterday I played about 20 mins of Myths of the World: Spirit Wolf CE and was bored out of mind and just going through the motions, so another one I can cross off.  I love it when that happens as it won't be added to my loooooooooooong list of unplayed games.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

oscar66 - had a true BOGO at New Years but most of you had taken advatage of the 50% off sales during Decemeber and didn't get anything.  The CE BOG before that was the end of Novemeber, maybe that's why it seems like it's forever since a BOGO, because you skipped the last one?

I've really been ignoring my paid games in favor of paying my 2 free to play ones.  That should translate into buying less games, though with all my half-price credits gone, I'll probably spend the same amount of money.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I'm tempted by the sale.  I won't be joining again for several months.  I have one PCC hanging around so if I got 2 CEs on Monday that would be 8 punches + 2 for the PCC, then I could borrow one and end up even.  I would end up with 2 CEs and 3 SEs.  Guess I'll have to go look at the possibilities.

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Tirama - I have been pretty frugal and only got 2 games at the last BOGO.  Everytime I see a good sale I think should I?  Shouldn't I?  Maybe there'll never be another BOGOF! lol.  Like you I do enjoy my FTP Township, but it is one that you can play for a little bit several times a day. So I still play my bought ones at night.  I'm almost afraid to start Awakenings.  I work from home, it could be quite dangerous!

I am really loving Fate's Carnival. Those door puzzles are a bitch!  I'm just about to start the puzzle in the theatre.  The one with the season's took me quite some time to muddle thru. I kept thinking there should have been a second leaf somewhere per the picture on the wall.  It was another late night last night.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

stusue - thanks for the input.  I have an expiring PCC, so I think I will get two SEs Monday and use up another PCC and fill my card. I'm thinking Esoterica Hollow Earth (I like the sci fi aspect) and Shadow Shelter.

I have 17 CEs to demo or at least look at to see which way I'll go.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Fortunately for me, GH already has Esoterica, and it has all the other Nevosoft games so I'm sure it'll get Shadow Shelter soon.  Same goes for Fall of the New Age

Has anyone tried the M3 Rebuild the European Empire?  OMG talk about a lot going on at the same time!  ** thud **  It's the normal M3 gameplay, however ... HOWEVER ... you have conveyor belts moving pieces along corridors, taking the piece that's nearest the main end and carting it to the other end, where you may need a certain piece for a match so you have to get the correct piece lined up to be picked up.  You also get things that turn around, moving all the pieces around it one spot at a time when you move.  So you have to make matches as soon as they appear or else the pieces you want may move away from the matches.  You also have to get enough of each thing (wood, euro, lollypops , etc.) AND change the blue squares to beige before the time runs out, if you're playing timed.  Then, at the end of each city (which is one building in a certain European city per level), you have a rather difficult jigsaw where you have to put square pieces on a blurred picture of the building.  Sounds easy but when I did Versailles it was a very busy, blurred background so it wasn't all that easy. However, there are 2 time modes - one where you have to replay the level if you don't meet all the goals by the end of the timer; one where you can continue after the timer has run out but you don't get any points for anything you collect after that.  There's also an untimed mode but you don't get something, I forget what.  So that's off my list atm as it was that complicated right from the get go so I have no idea if it gets any harder as you progress and, atm, there's just too much going on on each board.  Oh, and you have exactly the same boring piece of music for every single level, so that got old real fast.  But if you like complicated, happening M3s it might be just for you.    I'll try it again later to see if it grows on me.

So, I'm tending towards:

Secret Trails: Frozen Heart SE
Mysterium: Lake Bliss SE
Secret Bunker

Then I'm hoping that GH will get:

Cruel Collections: The Any Wish Hotel
Excursions of Evil

and, if not, I'll get them with PCCs next month.  The last 3 games may not be great games - especially the last one, which is really different - but I found them all interesting and Secret Bunker has a great atmosphere.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Oops, I found 2 more that I'd forgotten were possibles:

Paranormal State: Poison Spring
Mystery of Sargasso Sea

Has anyone played any of the games I'm interested in and can let me know if they're worth getting?  Thanks!

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I have been on A ERS kick lately.  Been playing the Dark Tales series in a row.  Right now I am doing the Gold Bug and for BPM  I got Haunted Halls: Nightmare Dwellers & Spirits of Mystery: The Silver Arrow.

I would like to borrow a pcc from somebody please.  I would like to get Redemption Cemetery: Bitter Frost and that will bring me up to date on ERS games and finish my card for the month.  I will be able to pay it back today (after 1 pm EST) with my free game for finishing my card.  Thanks.

I didn't get anything yesterday in the CE sale as I only had 1 credit.

Stusue...Ah!  You have given me many games to look up.  I too, am waiting to see if GH will get Shadow Shelter.
