Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Tirama, when you mention teapots, are you talking about that blue Staffordshire teapot?  Wow, you're lucky to have so many, I only managed to find 1.  Must try and get more from that HO scene.  You've scored big time on them, good for you.

I've been trying to finish that quest to find that stupid stamp for Philip but I can't seem to find it in the mini-game.  Have tried so many times, it's frustrating.

I didn't know the peace dove is so popular, I think I have a couple of them.  Thanks for the tip, hope I get lucky like you, will auction it later.

Yes, the blue Staffordshire teapot.  I had 3, sold them all.  Was able to buy one for myself at 3,000.

I only have 2 quests, both undoable, so I save up my energy and then play whatever HO's will give me something good to sell.  Hoping I level up tonight and get more quests.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I don't know what to do.  I haven't updated the game on my laptop, it's still the original one.  I just unlocked the auction and it's very primitive.  I have no search function at all, it just goes to the newest auction and that's it.  I can't look up expiring auctions or by item or seller.  It doesn't even tell me what class the item is, bronze, silver, etc.  It also doesn't have the food sales so I think I'm going to have to update to the new version.

On the new version I need to find the Mesopotamian Scribe in Portland and it just won't drop.  It costs me 125 to play it and I only have 300 when I'm full so the most I get is 2 whacks at it and that's if I don't do anything else.  The only other quest I have is to find a stamp in the minigame and I need to keep playing a different scene over and over to get the 5 glasses to play the mini so I'm pretty much stuck.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Well, I leveled up again and no new quests.  Looks like the quest at the Red Mines is holding everything else up.  Did open a couple new mini games.  And the past two days the daily quest has been doable.  So I sit and wait for an update.  Maybe I'll let my energy build up and play Red Mine over and over again in the hopes that it DOES go into silhouette mood and it's just a question of catchig it at the right moment.

Meanwhile, I'll do the auction and continue to work of collection achievements and make more money.  Wish I could remember which HO (and in what mode) gave the crossbow.  I need one and I know I saw it pictured.

Forgot to mention that in desparation, I bought one of those Sakura teapots in the hopse that would satisfy Ayelen, but, nooooooooooooooo, unlike AW where the people don't care where you got what they're asking for, ART is picky.  You can't get the item in question in an auction, you must get it for Johann.  Phooey.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Same here.  I bought a Mesopotamian Scribe at auction, but nobody cares.  I finally got 7 envelopes together and tried my minigame quest but failed at that one, too.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

My daily quest was undoable, so I continue to buy and sell at auction.  Once the Red Mine issue is resolved I should have tons of quests coming in and I should have the resources to deal with them.  Decided to buy 15 more clam chowders to get the next food achievement.  If I have a good day buying and selling I'll get some more.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I guess I should pay more attention to the auctions.  I had 10 of those blue teapots and 20 of the escape pods!  I sold one teapot for a good amount but the escape pods were really cheap when I checked them.  I wish AK would have a food sale!

I wish AK would have a sale on blueprints.

I have to pay attention to the auctions, there's not much else I can do while I wait for the fix on Red Mine.  I was able to do the Daily Quest, that's 3 of the last 4 I could do.

Bought more clam chowder before the sale ended.  When DH comes home, he always asks me how are the fishies and what's new with the games.  The other day I told him there was a sale and that I bought a lot of clam chowder.  He gives me a puzzled look and says "But you don't like clam chowder."

Tirama, that clam chowder story is so funny

I'm surprised he didn't ask whether it was Manhattan or New England clam chowder.

I'm not getting anythng in the keepsake sale.  Still have plenty from earning achievements.

Couldn't do my Daily Quest so it's auctions again for me.

Hope all these sales aren't a form of appeasement because the update isn't ready yet.  I want to move past the Red Mine.
