Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Thanks Tirama.  I sold a teapot too!  And I have 9 more!  I don't know what Mindy's escape pod is.  Right now the only quest I have is to find something in the library BUT you have to be a Master at the bar (I'll need to play it A LOT more) and you need whatever the resource is (magnifying glass?).  Of course I have a decent amount of money in this game.

What is the problem at the Red Mine?  I don't see any problem.

There's a quest to find Aylen's cousin, but to do so, you have to be in silhouette mode.  And people are claiming that since the Christmas update, Red MIne only plays in fast shopper mode, no matter how many trophies you have.

I found Aylen's cousin a while ago and didn't have any problems at the mine.  In fact more places opened up in that scene.

I think when I finished upgrading the pizza place and bought the eggplant when she asked me to, that's when I got the quests to upgrade the paint shop and photo studio.  Have you upgraded those already?

Thanks for mention about Mindy's escape pod....I shall have to go and see if I have any.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Then you're lucky barre.  For some of us, every tie we go to Red Mine, it's in fast shopper mode.

I completed the quest when Aylen asked me to investigate the mine and look for her cousin.  He/she isn't there and then James asks me to look in silhouette mode.

I've renovated the painting studio and photo studio to level 1 as requested.

I only have 2 quests (not including the daily quest, which more often than not, I can't do): the one about the missing cousin and the one wanting me to play a locked mini game for the last remaining teapot to complete the collection.  And I'm not spending gold to complete these quests.  I'll try leveling up and see if that brings in something else to do.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I went looking for the escape pod but can't see it anywhere, unless I'm not looking properly.  What category, bronze, silver, gold, or platinum?

I opened up a new place, Charleston,  West Virginia.  The other day I opened Secret Library, Bellingham.  All my energy is gone, so I think I'll use the one that gives max energy so I can look in the new places.  I have lots of gold now so I can buy more lasagna.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

The escape pod is bronze, one of the auto photos.  Not much action on the auction now.  Sold a buch at buyout (750 or more) this morning.  This looks like a good time to pick up some bargains.  Just bought The Lederhosen cuckoo clock for 500.

Another insane sale.  I just sold a Dashing Deerstalker for 7,000.

Barre,  So that's the problem with the Red Mine!  I found the cousin the first time I played,  before my new computer made me start over,  and even then in took a lot of tries,  but this is ridiculous.  At least it's cheap.  Haven't tried the stock market strategy with the auction.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

It just turned midnight where I am.  Opened up ART and there's a food sale.  I KNEW I shoud have waited to buy that eggplant.

The really good stuff is locked and I'm not even going to attempt to upgrade to get it.  Who knows how log the sale will last.  Bought enough clam chowder to earn the foodachievement for buying 10 foods (20 gold bars).

Sold a teapot for 10,000.   I've netted over 40,000 selling things,  plus another 11,500 from cashing in collections, not to mention enough glue to outfit a school district's kindergarden.  And enough paint to cover all the classrooms' walls.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I was so happy to see a food sale today for 50% off....so I bought a lot of them and got the food achievement too.  I bought quite a few lasagna for the max energy.  Don't really know how much to spend on food.....feel like buying a lot of lasagna because it's cheap

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

There was a food sale around Christmas so I guess ART has these sales frequently.  I just bought 7 clam chowders.  I have 4 lasagnas and 1 pizza that I got for achievements, and I'm waiting to use them when I have a higher amount of energy to maximize.  Slowly making my way to 100 friends which will give me anther 2 pizzas.

Trying to build up my cash and gold for the next hoiday quests.  Had another good night on the auctions.  Got a peace dove on buyout for 1,000 (big kiss to whoever is putting this stuff out cheap) and sold it within seconds for 15,000.

Sold 2 more teapots, 1 for 10,000 and the second for 15,000.  Need to get a teapot for myself, but can't find the HO where I got the last one.  Must only be available in picture mode or something.

The markets seems to have cooled for ionic wire bracelets and cool cotton scarfs.  Need to figure out what the new hot items are.
