I received an email from BF today for the sneak peek of this game.  What we were all playing is the beta version.  Now I wonder what to do?  Is it the same or did they make changes?  Do I download the new version or continue with my old one?  I would hate to have to start all over again.

Really?  This game was released on Dec 19.  I received a sneak peek e-mail regarding Midnight Castle yesterday.  Is that what you received?

Re: Awakening Kingdoms

Wow barregar.  That is a dilema.  I could have sworn that BFG has it offered on it's site as one of the F2P games.

I just checked and it is listed with the rest of the F2P games.

Re: Awakening Kingdoms

Sorry, my mistake again, it is for Midnight Castle.

Re: Awakening Kingdoms

So, I finally got the last egg to complete the quest.  I also got the earrings and the moon card.  Don't know which of these actions triggers more quests to come in.

Blessilda trips in wanting more moonflowers to feed a frog.  Already in my inventory.  Go feed the frog, open up another scene within a scene.

Chumblepos wants me to play 3 more minigames.  Have enough glass shards to play the first one on his list.

Lineas brings letter from Sophia who gives me 2 crystals.  So excited about making progress that I forget what was said in the letter.  I'm sure it was a hint to do something, but what?

Open up next quest. Lineas wants me to talk to Triffledore and play mini game 4 in his store.  Say what?  I haven't received a request to build Triffledore's store yet.

Finally get enough blueprints to play mini game 3 in Troglid's.  That brings some more quests.  Fahleed wants his store rebuilt.

Meanwhile, since repairing road and installing lamp posts, Captain Greg has been conspicuous in his absence.  He DID say I should feel free to upgrade the castle whenever, no need to wait for a quest, but I don't trust him.  He's trying to gyp me out of those measly 10 stars.

From my experience, I have to say that you need to try and complete the quests somewhat in the order they arrive.  Don't leave something sitting on the back burner for too long, or the quests will get out of synch.  Obviously, that doesn't apply to the quests for relics, sinc eyou don't know where they are.

I'm treading water right now.  I'm waiting to hear back from Boomzap about not being able to open the tree to get the ring (in Mystic Copse).  I wonder if they'd just tweak my game and open the tree for me.  Other games have (done something along those lines).  It has to have been a glitch because I got the Upgrade the store quest long before I got the Build the store quest.  I don't want to start over but I like this game enough tht I would.

How did you manage to rescue Mr Vanderkins for Quinn if you never opened up Mossbeard?

Re: Awakening Kingdoms

Lily, I'm so sorry about your game.
I've been having such a fun morning.  When you get to a certain point you need a ton of blueprints to go on.  The things that give you blueprints are in HOs you can't get to yet and the scene you get the blueprints in only gives one at a time.  I used some of my diamonds to break through the blueprint blockade.  That got me to the scene that has the item that you can get blueprints with, so that item is like real gold right now.  I've cashed in all my experience items to level up and keep replaying that HO.  About every second or third time I get the rune, then I turn around and auction it for about $2000, sometimes, more, sometimes less.  It always goes at the buyout price within an hour or so.  I've also been getting stuff from that scene that I've been selling for $500-700.  I've got about 30,000 racked up, but I don't have any experience collections left hardly, and I've ate a bit of food, but I figure I'll never cash in like this again  By tomorrow the prices will come waaaaay down.  Tirama, I thought about you as I bought a songbird egg for the buyout price of $2  Back to see if I sold my last rune for $2500.  Hope I don't need a bunch more blueprints later

Re: Awakening Kingdoms

I took my money and I'm upgrading the Orchard, Town Hall, Wingferry, and the Glassworks.  I've got lots of quests right now but I'm just ignoring them in favor of making some money. I feel like I hit the jackpot.  I still have 11,000 left.  I need 10,000 to donate, 12,000 for 2 portraits, and the store needs to be upgraded, that's over 10,000.    I figured I'd upgrade the stuff with the mini-games, the store upgrade only gives the keepsakes that take diamonds to buy, I won't be shopping there.  I might just cash in the rest of my food, I get a lot of Sunsomething pendants, in the artifact collection, and they're going like hotcakes.  I've got them priced around $600, I wouldn't spend that much for them, but hey, I'm a cheapskate.

Re: Awakening Kingdoms

Wow, what a day!  I'm rich in everything except for energy, but I'm too pooped to pop from my day of being the auction queen  I made scads of money and made a lot of people happy with my runes of precision.  By tomorrow they'll be all over the auction, there's a few out there now, but I seem to do right with my pricing.  I make my buyout price not too much more than my starting bid so they just buy it outright cause then they can start using it right away and they know they have it.  And I have the money right away, too.  There were a few up for auction at the same time I put my last several up, but once there's a bid on something the 'buyout' price goes away and you have to wait the entire time.  I made mine 4 or 5 hundred more than the active auction bids and they were snapped up pretty quick.  I hate the auction in ART, it doesn't work well, it cuts out a lot and there's so much stuff and it's priced insane high for the most part.  Anyway, tomorrow I will go back to working on my actual quests.

Re: Awakening Kingdoms

OMG, I can't get away from the auction!!!  I'm selling so much crap!  I saw some stupid prices for jewel and songbird eggs.  I think you might need one for a quest early on, but the whole collection only cashes in for $300.  I had about 10 between the two of them, they're the harder ones to get.  I decided to try auctioning them and I'm offering $333 starting or $444 buyout and they're buying them!  You only get $300 for the whole set.  People are crazy.  I've sold a lot of goblin stuff, too.

Re: Awakening Kingdoms

WOW Wendy!  I think I'll have to start looking under your name (Shaggy) in the auctions!  I don't think I did rescue the man.  I did have to remove brambles from someone but it was so long ago I don't remember who.  I had one quest for an orchard but I can't find it now.  I really wish Boomzap would give me an answer.  It's so frustrating to have to chip away at the game without making any real progress.  So much depends on getting the tree opened.
