Re: Finish your games challenge

I added Surface Pantheon SE
Queen's Tale Beauty and the Beast SE
             League of Light SE
Now I just have to finish Christmas Carol so I can start playing them.  I want to get them played on the desktop while I'm still here.

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.

Re: Finish your games challenge

It looks like this year I:

-bought 70 games (all SE)
-spent $165 (or $2.35 per game)
-completed 25

I'm happy enough with that. I tend to play a lot of M3, TM and sims that are often longer games, so 25 isn't bad for me to have gotten through. I'm surprised (but not unhappy) with how many I bought (70 is a lot for me). It was fun paying more attention this year to sales at BFG and other sites, keeping my eyes open for good deals, filling punch cards.

Thanks as always to everyone here for all the tips on games and your insightful reviews!

Re: Finish your games challenge

The CE code (PLAY) still works today so I got the 2nd BOTANICA and the 2nd CHRISTMAS STORIES.  I have to look at my punchcard.  I may need to find a few more SEs.

WOW Tirama and Wendy!  I doubt that I'll finish any more games this month so I only did 4.  I bought a LOT and I'm sure they are nowhere near as cheap as yours.  Good going!

I started QUEEN'S TALES: THE BEAST AND THE NIGHTINGALE.  I've finished the first chapter.  It's pretty good so far.

Re: Finish your games challenge

Of course, another reason I didn't finish that many games is because I have no discipline and start a whole bunch of games that I stop. Not because I don't like the game and intend to finish it eventually, just because I get distracted by starting on other games.

I also bought and played some non-casual games this year, but didn't include those in my stats.

Re: Finish your games challenge

As you can see, I've been doing a bit of tidying up and preparing for the new year.

The PCC exchange thread was stusue's idea.  I've pinned it to the top of the forum to make it easier for us to help each other if possible.

I've also made a separate section to contain lists of sales, soft releases, new games coming out.  This section can also be used to make wish lists after you demo a game, but won't be butying it until there's a sale.  Each person can have their own thread for their wish list, games bought, games finished.

Re: Finish your games challenge

Well, so many changes , will have to get used to it.  It's a pity I didn't see the PCC exchange thread before using my Feb. pccs to buy games today....sorry about that.

Tirama, I noticed that you finished Farmington Tales 2...that was quick!!!  Is it really such a short game or are you just super fast?  I am still playing Lagoona 2 and loving it.  I only play a bit every day...there's so much to do in that game..

Re: Finish your games challenge

barre - depends on what you mean by finished.  When I had rebuilt the farm, and Floyd and Dahlia thanked me, I still had a bunch of achievements to earn.  I'm still working on them, should finish tomorrow.  I had to skip 1 type of puzzle completely, except for the 1st one in the series, I just don't get what I'm supposed to do.  I've really zipped through the sudoku puzzles, doing all those boards in Sudoku Latin Squares (still plugging away at that game) has really sharpened my skills.

I checked the dates regarding when I started/finished the first Farmington, and this one is taking me slightly more time, but that is probably because teh first one wouldn't let you play on past the end to get all the achievements.

Re: Finish your games challenge

I purchased 130, I don't know how many I finished, 38 since I started keeping track in September, I have no idea how many prior.  I'd estimate probably at least another 60.  But I don't play a lot of lengthy games like TM and match 3s or strategy. And I shudder to think how much money I spent despite the many coupons I had, I did not have any of those half price GCCs.

Re: Finish your games challenge

I need to find one more SE to buy to complete a PCC.  I looked at my lists yesterday and it looks like I'll have to do some digging.  I'll do my stats for December and games bought in 2013 later.
