WOW!    Last Christmas BFG gave us a Chrissie pressie of a BOGOF from 21 December to 26 December!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

The Christmas before that was either a BOGOF or a 50% off sale (I made note of my purchases differently back then so I can't tell - I either bought credits for a BOGOF or it was 50% off membership price) from 24-25 December.

This year what have they given us?????  60% off retail for everyone!  It's not so bad a sale and it's better than no sale at all, but it's of no use to someone like me who still has lots of credits, as I refuse to spend any money while I still have those.    Boy, have I been spoilt with all the BOGOFs we've had this year. 

Don't worry, I'm grateful for any sale and am definitely not angry at BFG.  But what a comedown after last Christmas' sale.    I'd been hoping (expecting) at least a BOGOF for Christmas Day. 

Oh well, no CE Christmas games for me this Christmas.  I'll be waiting to get them in the next BOGOF with my credits, should we ever have another one.    At least I made the most of November's BOGOF.    And at least I won't be spending all my time this Christmas working out which games to get as CEs and which as SEs to fill punch cards!    Even though I already had a couple picked out as CEs. 

I'll just decide which 2 games I'm going to get with my expiring PCCs next Monday, assuming we still get a BPM next Monday!    But I only have 2 punches left on my card and I don't think I have enough games to fill another.  I suppose I only have to find 4 SEs if they have BPM but only 2 if they don't. 

Well, I'm glad I didn't skip the end of November CE BOGO, since Felix has decided to keep me on the naughty list.

stusue - In 2012, we had a half-price CE sale at Christmas time; BF didn't have it's first BOGO until 2013.  This 2 day sale is the shortest Christmas sale I remember, but just think:  Thursday and Friday we'll have the Redemption Cemetery bundle sale, and the weekend might be the start of the infamous Customer Favorites Sale.  Of course, the only CE that will be on sale will be the MCF, all the other games will be SE's, and since the games are chosen based on what has alreay sold the most, we'll probably already have most them (sitting unplayed in our inventories).  Unless they save that goodie for the new year and offer us the 4.99/9.99 sale for the weekend.

Whatever.  Looks like I'm done buying games for the year.

I still have hopes of BOGO for the weekend.  At least we will know by Monday, so I can decide if I'm rejoining for a month.
I had wanted the new Hidden Expedition, I hadn't really liked the others, I like this one better, but I read several people say the finished the whole thing, bonus included, in  about 3 hours.  Personally, I've never finished a game in three hours, I seem to be a real slowpoke.  I love to read my journal, though.  In some games the journal has stuff that never even happened in the game, it's like it's filling in the plot for you. 
I had wrote into CS about my HO achievements not registering, like 3 items in 3 seconds, that kinda stuff, in Black Water.  The lady replied to me with a bunch of stuff about sending in a Dr. Felix...I already did... and a link to the game freezing/crashing help pages.  I wrote back that the game isn't freezing or crashing, it plays perfectly fine and I received all the mini game achievements, just not the HO based ones.  Sometimes I swear they don't read what you write even though they paraphrase it when replying.  Has anyone else ever had the achievements not register in a game?  I know I had to get 3 items in 3 seconds, that's not even hard.  I doubt there's anything they can do about it, I just wanted to register the complaint.  Some of their replys just leave me shaking my head, though.

Thanks for the info, Tirama, about the 2012 Christmas sale.  I thought that's what it was.  I'm also really, super happy I didn't skip the November BOGOF sale and got as many CEs as I had waiting.  But I sure wish you'd been good this year! 

But I'm a happy little Vegemite right now.  I got a Christmas Present code from GameHouse for a game at 75% off.  Well, I got a CE for $3.50 then thought I'd try and see if it would work for a second game.  Well, I managed to get 2 SEs for $1.50 each (GameHouse's SEs are only $5.99) before the code didn't work anymore!  And, considering I still got 3 punches for the CE and 2 for the 2 SEs, with the 5 punches I already had I managed to get 2 PCCs as well (because GH gives members their first 2 punches on each and every card free, so you only have to get 4 punches to get a free game).  Not bad for a total outlay of $6.50. 

So, sunshinej, if you got that Xmas pressie code, work out which games you'd like to get and try and get them quickly and see how many you can get before it runs out. 

And they have a sitewide 50% off sale until the end of tomorrow but I don't think I'll get anything else as I already have 1 GCC and 2 PCCs to use.

I'm not holding my breath for a BOGOF sale, which is the only one that interests me with my credits.  But that way, if we do get one, I'll be really happy! 

Wendy, I'd been thinking about getting the CE of Christmas Carol as I liked the morphing penguins.  I didn't mind if I didn't see it right away as it had normally started morphing when I went back.  I read that some people thought the bonus was stupid and a waste of time but others thought it was great and a lot of fun.    Had we had a BOGOF for Xmas I would have gotten the CE but now I'm back on the fence (and it's very, very uncomfortable!). 

I think I vaguely remember one achievement not registering but I could be mistaken.  However, I totally understand your frustration with the generic reply to your problem.  Sometimes they just seem to see the main topic of your problem then just give you the generic reply.  I got that last week.  So, when I got the screen afterwards to say whether they'd helped me or not I said NO and said that they hadn't answered my specific problem, just a generic reply to a generic problem.  But I ended up sorting out the problem myself so didn't bother asking them again.

Stu, you sound like me, I love bargain games.  When I dropped my regular membership at GH a couple years ago, I had enough coins for th 75% off, and that got me enough for another 75% off, which got me enough for 50% off, it just went on and on.  I was using them for combo packs so I ended up getting over 10 games for under $10, it was insane.  I don't think I've played them yet, a lot were TMs, but I got em  If I have the money next winter I might just do the GH thing.  I rarely replay a game and I have enough bought ones to last for years, and now I'm getting into the FTP.  There's always Pogo, too, I used to go there a lot, I think that might be how I found BFG in a round-a-bout way.
