Tirama, sorry you got rejected.
But it does sound like you may have been lucky!
Yeah, I have a feeling that this person will be a PITA once gifting gets implemented. I've noted down the name and will avoid friending this person on any other F2P games I decide to play.

Jen, thanks for the suggestion of A Dark Room. What a strange little game that is. Definitely all about the game play and not the scenery.
I have played quite a few of the Escape the Room kind of games. Some I do pretty well at some not so much. Played most of them in the online section at big fish.
Tira, sorry you got rejected but I am sure it is for the best. I just accept everyone on both games. Doesn't affect game play at the moment so really can't understand why you were rejected.

Govols - I also accept everybody. I'll only reject if the person has a screen name of questionable taste. If anybody gets out of line sometime in teh future, I can always delete them.

Govs and Tirama - call me paranoid but I don't accept everybody. Today I got a request from a "lahdeedah".....do I accept it? hmmmm...nope. I really don't know why we need friends anyway...except that we can see each other's progress, then what? people might request things from me or something? If it is not essential for the game, I ain't accepting anyone except you guys.....yup, I'm paranoid.

With the auctions, if there's an item you really want, you can put it on your watch list. You will receive a message if one of your friends puts that item up for sale. At some point in the game, the gifts button will work. If it's like other games, you will be given a certain number of items you can give to your friends and vice versa. You can't keep these items for yourself, you have to gift them. Each friend will have a wish list so you can see who wants what. It's another way to complete collections. And completed collections give you rewards.

Tirama, thanks for the notes. Well, I just can't see myself accepting anybody whom I don't know....maybe I'm taking this too seriously but I'm very careful who I befriend, whether in a game or in RL. ....I only trust you guys since I've known you all for so long, and I'm happy with just a handful of friends in my game......SO you all better have what I want when I need it (lol...just kidding!!!
) and I'll gift you all whatever you need when I know what you need...
Today I got, with pccs, the following:
Island Tribe 5
Farmington Tales 2: Winter Crop
Christmas Stories: A Christmas Carol
Starting Christmas Carol tonight. I hope we get a BOGO sale on Christmas Eve/Day, like last year, then I'll pick up a few more SEs, except we won't get bonus punches...drats....too bad Christmas has to fall on a weekday.

I was thinking there probably would be some kind of 50% off sale on Xmas Day ~ seems like the past few weeks they've had something in the middle of the week and yuck on the weekend.
Tirama, could you PM me the name of the person that rejected you or the one that was all over the place (are they the same?) so I will know not to add to my list of friends. I've only had one outside request so far and I accepted it (I'm was used to doing that in Farmville on FB). Heck, I probably added 300 or so over the couple of years I played and I don't recall getting anyone really awful. I made some great friends from all over the world ~ you get to know them through the game, what they gift, how often and how reciprocal they are and being from different time zones, there was always somebody there to interact with. But that game was based on exchanging items or you could never have gotten very far. But we're all different and I can understand barre's perspective because the internet can also be a scary place if you're not careful.

I've started to do a bit of forum cleanup by opening up a separate section for free to play games. I've started threads for the two games I'm playing, please feel free to add threads for other games. I know some of you were playing My Singing Monsters and Farm Up.
I've listed the names and game names of the people I'm sure are playing. If I've forgotten anybody, speak up. I didn't list social codes because I wasn't sure how people felt about that.

Tirama -- Hope I'm not too late to weigh in. I'd appreciate this thread to be archived so that we could go back and read. I've gotten some great games that way.
I just finished LEGACY: WITCH ISLAND and I really enjoyed it! I never would have tried it if it hadn't been for the encouragement I got here. It had a good story, good graphics and achievements. I didn't get the one for restoring the picture but I'm not about to replay to find it! I even found all the bugs. I kept forgetting to look when I got to a new scene. I liked this one better than HE: DEVIL'S TRIANGLE.

I still can't decide on the SE or CE of CHRISTMAS CAROL. I'm not really in the mood for a Christmas game right now anyway. Except a short one and I've played all the ones I have. NUTCRACKER seems too ambitious.
