I made it to level 6 in Awakenings before I ran out of energy.  Of course the early levels you don't need to do much to level up and refill your energy bar.  Right now it takes 20-25 energy to do a HO.  You do the same ones over and over and look for the same things over and over.  As you progress they add some more objects into the scene and more areas into the scene, like inside the tree.  Each HO has rewards that you need for building and accomplishing the various quests.  At level 6 I have 100 energy points and it takes 5 minutes to get one back so what is that, 12 points regained per hour, so I can do 4 scenes in the morning, then one every couple hrs or else 4 more in the evening.  Of course when you level up you're refilled and you can buy energy drinks, but it looks like it might turn into pretty slow going for awhile now.  You don't seem to need energy for the minigames, you need resources, but I'm low on everything by now so I will check back into it this evening.  There's an email system to other players but it costs 42 gold to use it and I'm low on gold as it is.  I made my one friend that it quested me to, and someone else asked to be my friend, but I don't know how that all ties in further down the line, I haven't really played this type before.
If you go on BFG's FB it's full of complaints about the casino, it truly seems like they are ripping people off.  I tried it for a few minutes one day, you get free chips to start with, but I'm not into casinos much anyway, and a pretend one seems really silly.  Hard Rock Casino is about 5 miles away from me and I've never even gone once.  I worked some gambling games in the carnival and got paid a percentage.  Believe me, the house always wins.  I think some people like the BFG Casino because it has the chat feature, kinda takes the place of the forums.  But looking at the complaints on their FB page, I think that's why our Customer Service is so slow nowadays.  Anyway, back to a real game, Curse of the BlackWater.

I didn't get nearly as far in Awakening.  I'm still waiting for the first building to be completed (24 hours???) and it appears that all that's available to do is 2 HO scenes.  The American Dreamin' game seems to move along at a faster pace in the beginning.  I'm really sorry I didn't start it sooner.  I have a feeling I won't get very far in getting all the special Christmas goodies because I've only just started and haven't had the chance to stockpile gold bars.  I had to use some to make the library repair instantly so that I would have enough time to complete a quest.

As for people complaining about being ripped off by F2P, I tend to take it with a huge grain of salt.  They are probaby the same people who complained about being "ripped off" because BF was charging their CC every month for a game club the never signed up for.  Some people just don't read before they click and of course it's never their fault.

I was in Walmart looking at their pc games and found  Big Fish Casino games selling for $20.00.  I thought it strange that they were charging for it since we all got this game for free the time it d/l without our permission.

sunshinej, I saw the boxed version being sold but for your 20 euro or whatever it was (I assume I saw it being sold somewhere here in Europe, maybe on Amazon) you got more than double (it could have been triple) that value in coins.  However, the Android app is free on Amazon here and in England, as well as lots of other BFG games.

Tirama -- The Christmas quests in AMERICAN DREAMIN' only really started yesterday.  They had put them out earlier but then pulled them.  I think I was able to do 2 days worth of quests yesterday.  RL snow should be this easy to shovel!  Yeah.  The buildings take a lot longer to build/upgrade in AWAKENING but the energy recharges MUCH faster.  I'm still trying to decide how much longer I want to play these 2 games.  As stusue said many unplayed games that I have paid real money for.

I started LEGACY: WITCH ISLAND and am having trouble with it.  I seem to be wandering around with no clue (pretty much my baseline) and the hint doesn't seem to help that much.  I've only done a couple of scenes so I'll see what happens.

I'm so happy to see Farmington Tales 2: Winter Crop out today as a soft release.  I'm getting it for sure.  The TGT Alex Hunter: Lord of the Mind looks good too.  It's a SE with CE features because there are collectibles, bonus games, SG, all in the game.  I've d/l it to try and if it's good, I'm getting it too.

Barre, I'd only been playing Farmington Tales 2 for about 10 mins when I got a crash dump error (or something) report and the dreaded black screen of death.  And before that my cursor kept on freezing.  Don't know what that was all about.  But when you play it, go to Options and try out all the different cursors as you get a reward.

As for Alex Hunter, don't forget the achievements AND Secret Room!  I loved what I played (maybe half the demo as I didn't want to spoil any more of the surprise when I play it and start from the beginning again, as, after only 2 mins, I knew I was going to get the game next Monday with a PCC).  For an SE you get:

- great game
- fantastic graphics (check out pigeon in first scene and homeless man in first HOS)
- been there, done that, but interesting storyline
- slightly interactive, crystal clear HOSs
- the few puzzles that I played weren't bad
- SG
- achievements
- well hidden collectibles
- bonus chapter
- secret room (no idea what that is as it's secret )
- 2 levels of difficulty with differing requirements (only need 25 collectibles in easy, all (35) in hard to, I think, open the Secret Room

lilyr, I'm not sure how much I'll remember but you can always ask and see if I can help.  I remember I got stuck with something right at the beginning on the beach and then when I found out what I'd missed (I'd totally overlooked something) I felt really stupid.    I think the first couple of scenes are the hardest, while you get used to the game, then it gets easier once you're off on the path through the forest/jungle.

As for the F2P, have you tried the two by Boomzap?  The American Dreamin' one plays somewhat similar to the Gardnescape/Lagoona type of game, so if you liked those, you may like it.

Tirama, I just have no interest in FTP games.  I don't like straight HOGs like Gardenscape at all and the ones I've looked at just don't compare to all the bought games I have that I'm yet to play.  There aren't enough hours in the day to play all my unplayed games, let alone start playing neverending FTP games.    My sister used to play some farming game on Pogo and she ended up spending so many hours every day trying to get all the tasks done to get awards or whatever that it started taking over her life as it was always, I'll just do one more level, just one more, just one more.  So she just stopped cold turkey one day as she wanted her life back.

I'd rather just stick with my great bought games and get to colouring all the games that I play!  (As I play games on my list I highlight them in different colours from different sites and I love it as the pages turn more and more colourful.)

I've done the 4 Christmas quests quests, but had to spend gold to get the library instantly upgraded in time to play the minigame..  I'm talking about not having enough coins to get the holiday decorations.  Yeah, I can earn coins by playing the few mini games I've unlocked, but those cost glue or magnifying glasses or whatever and to earn the resources you need energy.  And what about the special holiday collectibles?  The one Christmas minigame I've unlocked so far needs 16 whatevers to play.

I'm kinda stuck right now.  2 of my quests are upgrading buildings, so I'm waiting for them to be done.  Another is the add a friend.  The 4th is to buy a pet, that costs 20 gold (or 50 if I want the penguin) and the 5th is to upgrade the fountain, which cost mucho coins.

I shoveled the snow like mad yesterday, thinking it might be one of those achievements with several levels.  No such luck.

I understand (I think) about the timed Christmas quests, but what's the deal regarding the other timed requests?  Is the time counting down on them even if I don't open it up to see what it is?

I tried Farm Up, but since I don't normally play that sort of game, I'm lost and the tutorial wasn't that helpful.  Maybe I'll give it a try again later on.

Fancy.  All I do is move them from one section of my spreadsheet to the other.  The CE's are in a blue font and the SE's are in boring black.

Re: Finish your games challenge

Thanks stusue.  I went back and I made a lot more progress in just a few minutes this time with LEGACY.  Some of the puzzles are fun, some get challenging (and I'm only doing the ones at the beginning of the game).  The puzzle like pick-up sticks was fun until I got to the feathers.  It was hard to tell one feather from the next due to the colors but I got them.

I'm really on the fence with the F2P games too.  I'm enjoying the 2 from Boomzap but they do take a good amount of my recreational time.  Even though FAIRWAY TEE TO PLAY takes a long time (to play absolutely free) I'll finish that one because I enjoy the card game and it does have a definite ending.

If the ALEX HUNTER game has a SG sign me up!  Actually I have to start making a list of what I'd like to buy (CEs ad SEs).  Right now things are scattered on all different bits of paper.

I finished HE: DEVIL'S TRIANGLE.  I wasn't all that pleased.  AND I went back to ther WT to see if I had finished.  While I was there the credits and perhaps some closing scenes were running and you couldn't get back to them.Boo Hiss.

Tirama -- Gee.  I found a lot of stuff to do early on in AWAKENING.  I can't find that dratted scroll in the castle though. Yet.

I'm in level 3.  I still have 5 hours to wait for the Mayor's building to be done.  All I have open on the map is 2 locations.  And if there's anything else to do in the town or castle while you're waiting around for a quest, I don't knw how to find it.  Maybe I'm not smart enough to play this game.

If there was anything down the right hand side of the screen (like in American Dreamin') I somehow made it disappear.  I suppose I could try unnstalling and reloading.
