I made it to level 6 in Awakenings before I ran out of energy. Of course the early levels you don't need to do much to level up and refill your energy bar. Right now it takes 20-25 energy to do a HO. You do the same ones over and over and look for the same things over and over. As you progress they add some more objects into the scene and more areas into the scene, like inside the tree. Each HO has rewards that you need for building and accomplishing the various quests. At level 6 I have 100 energy points and it takes 5 minutes to get one back so what is that, 12 points regained per hour, so I can do 4 scenes in the morning, then one every couple hrs or else 4 more in the evening. Of course when you level up you're refilled and you can buy energy drinks, but it looks like it might turn into pretty slow going for awhile now. You don't seem to need energy for the minigames, you need resources, but I'm low on everything by now so I will check back into it this evening. There's an email system to other players but it costs 42 gold to use it and I'm low on gold as it is. I made my one friend that it quested me to, and someone else asked to be my friend, but I don't know how that all ties in further down the line, I haven't really played this type before.
If you go on BFG's FB it's full of complaints about the casino, it truly seems like they are ripping people off. I tried it for a few minutes one day, you get free chips to start with, but I'm not into casinos much anyway, and a pretend one seems really silly. Hard Rock Casino is about 5 miles away from me and I've never even gone once. I worked some gambling games in the carnival and got paid a percentage. Believe me, the house always wins. I think some people like the BFG Casino because it has the chat feature, kinda takes the place of the forums. But looking at the complaints on their FB page, I think that's why our Customer Service is so slow nowadays. Anyway, back to a real game, Curse of the BlackWater.

Re FTP games - I read ages ago on Pond Friends or one of the other forums about people complaining on FB about the Casino game. One person was saying that he/she was spending $300 a day on chips but wasn't winning anything. Another had spent $3000 and hadn't won anything. I can't imagine anyone being stupid enough to spend that sort of money but, even if it's exaggerated, they're obviously still spending an awful lot of money on chips! I was just wondering if they realised that you don't actually win any money but only more chips - all the money goes to BFG - unless there's something I don't know. So that's where BFG gets all their money.
And I'm sure the sales they have all the time on coins would entice people to buy big, thinking they're getting them really cheaply at half price, whereas they're free if you have the patience to wait. And when you only need spend $1 at a time on coins, I'm sure a lot of people don't realise how much they end up spending. And there are a lot of impatient people who'd be playing these games, I'm sure.
Disclaimer: I've only tried one FTP game, a straight HOG, and was bored stupid so gave up after 10 mins and deleted it. I've checked out one or 2 others but I found the quality in all areas nowhere near all my unplayed download games so will stick with those.
But have you noticed that GameZebo now only rarely reviews PC games? All they review are mobile games and just let players review PC games themselves, if they even bother to make a page for any PC games. However, recently I noticed that they'd actually added their review for a PC game and so I eagerly opened the page to see what they'd said and lo and behold, they'd only reviewed it because it was also a mobile game and they'd based their review on the mobile apps for the game. They only gave it 3/5 because as it was a HOG, and you can't see HOs on such small screens, they gave it a really low score. They totally ignored the game on the PC, where it would have got a much higher score as it was a really good game! So GameZebo is now useles for PC game reviews, as there aren't any.

Wendy, I know in America, and I assume most other countries, that casinos have to pay out a certain percentage of their takings in the casino. It's all regulated and checked regularly. So you know that there are going to be payouts, even if you're not one of the lucky ones. But, as BFG Casino is only a game, it wouldn't be regulated and so wouldn't have to pay out anything as no one actually wins any money. I truly don't understand why anyone would pay real money to virtually gamble when you know that you can't win any money.

The last 3 - 4 pages have been pretty interesting! Hi everyone.
I'd be interested in hearing how PuzzledOne is too. I think jkuci and govols are active in another part of this Boardhost site.
Tirama -- I've hit a glitch in ROAD TRIP. Things I've "won' aren't showing up in my inventry or the collectibles. Boomzap is asking me to send them my "save files" so they can see if there is a problem. Even though they told me how I'm still not sure I can do it. We'll see. I may have come across another one in AWAKENING. I may be getting my stuff. It's a bit confusing as to where the things go. At least AWAKENING has a shorter refresh rate. ROAD TRIP seems to take 24 hours to rebuild your energy. May I befriend you to get that quest?
Stusue & Wendy - Is LEGACY: WITCH ISLAND really that easy? I got all excited (sounds like my kind of game!), saw that I didn't own it and also saw that there's no walkthrough. That's probably why I don't own it. If it is pretty linear I'l get it for a PCC.
Speaking of PCCs -- I don't see anything about BPM in BFG site. The punchcard is still by my name. I was going to buy LEGACY and see if I got a punch but I thought I'd post here first. I've got time on my PCCs. And maybe there'll be a BOGOF by next Monday!
I wonder if the new BOTANICA suffered from the F2P games BoomZap has out? You know -- not as much attention spent on it.
That's sad that Gamezebo isn't reviewing games unless they are mobile games.

There's still bonus punches. It's showing on the indivual game pages. I'm thinking of getting Kingdom's Heyday, unless somebody else mentions a better game. Problem is, I'm not really in the mood to get a new game, but hate to let pcc go to waste or not get the extra punch for it.
I'm still a F2P newbie, so tell me what I've got to do regarding becoming friends. I took a quick look in the forums and it seems the achievements for friends will eventually require you to be friends with 100 people!!!! Hope that doesn't show up as one of the quests as well.

Hi lilyr! Yes, Legacy: Witch Island really is that easy, hence you won't need a walkthrough. It's very linear and there's no way you can get lost. As far as I can remember everything takes place along one path, along which you may have to go back and forth a few scenes to find things you need. If you get stuck and aren't sure what to do, just click on Hint and it'll tell you where to go. I'm not sure, as I can't really remember, but I think it may actually take you there. But the graphics really are beautiful, which is the reason I wanted to play it. It's fun to play but really, really easy, which may be just what you want as sometimes easy games are just what you need.
As for BPM, it's no longer shown on the main PC games page but is still shown on each game's main page, on the left under the video. So, if you go to the page of whatever game you want to get you can't help but see it on the left.
But thank heavens they've put how many GCCs you have back at the top of the screen! I really missed that. But it's even better now as you can click on it and go to the page where you can see all your GCCs.
As for Botanica, I think the game is just as good as the first one, which I loved. The HOSs that I played were also just as fun. My only disappointment was that they'd dummed down the collectibles, making them so obvious that there was no fun in finding them, unlike in the first game, where they were really well hidden. Hence, unless I read that the bonus chapter is super long and really, really interesting, I'll wait for the SE, even though I loved the first one as a CE.

Tirama, what expiry date does your PCC have? I don't mind swapping a PCC with you as I can get Island Tribe 5 with it and I can give you one that expires later. If it expires before next Monday then I'll have to get it asap as I'm off to bed soon and I only have until 9 am tomorrow morning to use it (and I've been sleeping in lately as I've been going to bed so late lately). However, if it expires after next Monday then np, just let me know and we can exchange before next Monday.

Tirama -- me too re being a social game newbie. I think I just enter your code. Maybe you have to accept me. In the game my name is anneclaire (longish story). Next time I go back I'll see what my code is. 100? Yikes! I just wanted a friend to finish the quest.
stusue -- Thank You! A simple, fun, linear game is just what I want. Off to buy....
Someone (Wendy?) said that the only Achievement you needed to buy in FAIRWAY TEE TO PLAY only cost $0.99. Not true. If you are patient and get it early, you can get the 3rd mulligan card as a wild card and use all three in the round and get the Trophy. I did.

Well, I've just finished Monument Builders: Empire State Building (not yet on BFG), the 5th in the series. What a disappointment after Notre Dame, which was much more fun to play. I got half gold/half silver (nowhere near bronze) but have no desire whatsoever to replay any levels to get gold on every level, as I did with Notre Dame. I just wanted to finish it to get all the little snippets of info you get at the start of every level. But what's really disappointing about Empire State Building is that all those really interesting little bits of information about the building weren't included as extras, as they were in Notre Dame (which is an earlier game in the series), which doesn't make sense to me. Nor are there any achievements or anything like that. What a pity. Lucky I didn't buy it!

It has to be used today in order to get the bonus punches. And I have 2 more to use next Monday. I hope BF releases something good this. I'll pm you the code in case you're still up. If I don't hear back from you in say 3 hours, I'll know you've already gone to bed.
