It has been so long since I got a email for a sneak peak.  Do you guys get the BF newsletter?  I  don't anymore and I thought that is why I am not getting anymore sneak peaks.

The links for the sneak peeks of the Free to PLay games have been appearing in the Daily Game Splash e-mail.

I received 2 Betas this morning:

Mythic Wonders: The Philosopher's Stone  (according to All About Casual Games, this one is due to be released this month, so this must be the final beta to see if the game downloads smoothly and doesn't have any major glitches)

Surface: Reel Life

Last week I received the beta for Botanica: Earthbound.

It's either feast or famine with betas.

I finished the bonus chapter of Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek Collector's Edition.  I had hoped to start the second Enigmatis tonight, but I want to check out those betas.  And I have a pcc to use on Monday, so I'll have to find time to check out some SE's.

Re: Finish your games challenge

Wow, Tirama, 3 betas????  ** thud ** I only got 1 yesterday but haven't had a chance to try it yet.    But I have managed to download it, so it's all ready and waiting!    I also got an email with the sneak peek of the new FTP game.  My beta is:

Nightwalkers: Drawn to the Woods

But I'd love to try the new Botanica game as I loved the first one  which I got to beta but then had to patiently wait (not) until it was released, which was ages.

I received 2 betas recently:
Fright
Ghosts of the Past: Bones of Meadow Town

I didn't d/l them because I am not doing betas anymore.

Barre, I'm curious.  Why don't you do betas anymore?

Re: Finish your games challenge

I started League of Light (someone mentioned it) and I am really enjoying it! Great story and the narration is very well done. Enjoying the puzzles and interactive HOs.  A great pleasure after the dud of Dana Knightstone.    You guys are right.  It seems like a series starts and is stellar for the first two maybe three, and then hits the skids.  I hope they don't make a series out of Nearwood and ruin that.

Re: Finish your games challenge

Oscar, I'm glad to hear that about League of Light, it's on my wish list.  I just finished Nearwood and I'm so glad I got it but so sad that it's over.  I think it was the prettiest game I ever played.  The gameplay and storyline weren't great but they were okay and that's all that was needed with all that gorgeous scenery.   I would suspect that the CE would be worth it just to get wallpapers and screensavers.   It did sound like there would be a sequel, though.  Was the bonus about the parents?  Speaking of wallpapers, I put one on from The Nutcracker.  Most of them are pretty stupid, I wanted one of that gorgeous Christmas tree.  They have one of the bottom of the tree with the Nutcracker, that's what I put on.
I'm playing Midnight Mysteries Edgar Allen Poe on the laptop, guess I should go work on it some more but it's so yucky compared to Nearwood.  I have no idea what I want to play next.  I checked the Amazon App store the other day and they had Christmasville as the free app of the day so I downloaded that onto my tablet and that's been my bedtime game.  I can only stomach it in small doses and it puts me right to sleep

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.

Re: Finish your games challenge

I tried to play the new FTP design game.  Yuck!  If anyone gets past level 3 and it starts to get fun, let me know, because otherwise I'm outta there.

Re: Finish your games challenge

I finished the first case in Edgar A Poe.  It has 3 of them.  I started the game in June so I couldn't totally remember what was going on but I don't think it was very clear anyway.  The next part of it is based on "The Gold Bug", I played the ERS game earlier this year so maybe I'll have a vague idea of what is going on.  I couldn't take playing any more of it tonight so I decided to save part 2 for another day.  Oh, and it's one of my ten oldest unplayed games so that's good.
I decided to have some dessert and I started Fear for Sale Nightmare Cinema CE.  It doesn't play well on my laptop so I figure I better play it while I have the destktop.  It has morphs, even in the HOs and a bunch of different collectibles.  I saw Megwoman gave it a good review recently.  I'm not really enjoying morphs and collecting so much anymore, though.  I spend 3 minutes staring at the screen, waiting for something to move.  If it doesn't then I'm squinting and refocusing my eyes, staring at the watch, starting to get sleepy, yes, I will do what you say.... I feel like I'm getting all hypnotized.  But you need something to make a CE a CE.  I'll probably miss a gazillion of them anyway, when I play again tomorrow I will likely forget about them.

Re: Finish your games challenge

Wow, it's now 12:40 am Seattle Time and still no changeover of games - no TGT, no DD - even though the clock started clicking down at midnight.    The changeover happened at midnight European Time for all the European sites, however.

And apparently BFG changed the schedule and we're supposed to get Botonica: Earthbound CE today!  Boy, have things changed at BFG, and not for the better.

The sale banner is up, however, for this weekend's sale.  BFG sales this weekend:

Seattle - buy an SE, get one for 99 cents.

France/Germany - CE BOGOF - and they have both Christmas Stories and the latest MCF, if anyone's interested.  The only downside is that neither of these sites has BPM (Bonus Punch Monday).
