Meg - I'm playing Surface The Pantheon right now and I'm really enjoying it. Gorgeous graphics, good story. There seems to be a lot of little cuts scenes but they add to the story imo. Lots to do and finding the flowers opens stuff up in a bonus section that has some new puzzles and replays of others. Voice work is well done, no one's mouth moves but that doesn't bug me. So enjoy when you do get to it. This is one of my favourite series.

Just finished The Saint: Abyss of Despair. It was an SE set in South Africa. The main character had a great S. African accent but all the native Africans in it sounded like old American white people I bought it for the accent and the S. African locale but I hardly got to go anywhere in Africa. Mainly the house and a couple outbuildings. It had a map but it wasn't needed. It was very short, only took me 4 hrs. tops and I'm pretty slow when it comes to games. The HOs were really easy, I whizzed right through them, didn't even need a hint to find a paperclip
The puzzles were pretty easy, too. I liked the story, it was typical; father used an ancient artifact to help his dying daughter and unleashed ancient evil force, but it was okay. I'd recommend it if you were looking for a short, easy game as a punch card filler.

Finished Otherworld :Fall. I got more into it later on but still not my favorite of the 3.
Playing 12 Labours of Hercules now. I started out in Advanced mode but realized pretty quick I would not get very far with the gold stars. Started over in casual mode only to find that is time as well just a much slower clock. Doing much better now. I did get pretty close on a couple of levels but I am also trying to get the trophies scattered throught the map.

So I demoed Myths of the World-Stolen Spring CE and I can't stand it which is weird because I usually love eipix games but this one just was not my cup of tea. I thought the whole stealing the spring idea was kind of lame and the winter queen witch was just not that interesting.
But then I demo'ed Cursery-The Crooked Man & The Crooked Cat CE and I can't wait to buy it. If anyone buys this and plays the bonus chapter can they let me know if its worth buying the CE? Its Humpty Dumpty! How fun! But since Blue Tea Games have morphs in both their CE & SE games, I usually just buy the SEs. Although now that I think about it, I do have a lot of their CEs...oh well. I was so glad to see BTG having a game out! Its been ages!!
I have the first Whispered Secrets-Story of Tideville SE, still unplayed of course. I remember when I demoed it that it reminded me of an ERS game only with more to do and more innovativeness. We'll see how I like it. Im in need of a new hidden object game to play, a normal person would just play whispered secrets but Im not in the mood for it LOL

So Im playing Off the Record-Linden Shades CE. Lots of collectibles. The crayons are especially hard to find. They just blend in so well! You are also collecting letters like actual letters of the alphabet, I, U, T etc lol and children's toys. The children's toys one doesn't make a lot of sense because you visit a lot of rooms with a lot of toys but only certain toys are the ones you are looking for. Makes it a bit confusing.
It is definitely not as good as the soaring city but it is a nice game to play. My only real issue is that there are wayyyyy, wayyyyy too many hidden object scenes for me. Hmm usually this developer has an alternate to them, I should check and see because Im getting burned out on all the objects. Other than that though, its a good game. Has a good story and Im dying to know who the red ghost is!

Megwoman25 - I have Cursery: The Crooked Man & The Crooked Cat CE. I'm currently stuck on this one puzzle that I just can't get but I'll let you know about the Bonus Chapter once I get to it.
I played a bit of Northern Tale 2 yesterday. It is a fun game so far. A bit bummed that it isn't widescreen though. makes it seem a bit off.

I started Surface: The Noise She Couldn't Make CE. I'm already disappointed that I have the CE version. The collectible flowers are large, brilliant blue, and pulsating. Doesn't make them very hard to find It has achievements but except for 'one HO with no hint' and 'one minigame with no skip' they're all just stuff you have to do in the game. I hate those, how are they achievements, they're unavoidable! I'm liking the game, but I wish I only had the SE version, I feel like I totally wasted a GCC.
ETA: I found a list of achievements, there's more for the puzzles and HOs, unfortunately I didn't know that before I used a hint in an HO so now I won't get that achievement, but I usually need a hint anyway.

I've FINALLY finished CHRONICLES OF ALBIAN: THE MAGIC CONVENTION. I started this game in September! I could only play a scene or two at a time because the items were so very tiny and/or well-blended. It will be a very long time until I play the 2nd one! I finished ZOMBIE SOLITAIRE too. It wasn't pretty -- lots of one-star levels -- but it's done as far as I'm concerned.
Before we got the Halloween games I'd started THE BEAST OF LYCAN ISLE. I was doing okay but dropped it in favor of the Halloween games. I went back yesterday and am totally lost! I have the staff for the old woman but I can't find her house. I know I've been there but the map in this game is a mess. Fortunately I found a walkthrough at a site that my anti-virus approves of.
I keep reading about all the wonderful games you all are playing and I want to start one (or more ) but I'm just so far behind that I really should play an older game.

I feel the same, Lily, everyone else's games usually sound funner. I try to play some of the older games I have but I like the new and shiny.

I know Lily! I feel bad every time I play a newer one! I feel better about it thought if there is another one out in that series like with Surface, since a new one was out, I felt okay about playing my fancy Soaring City CE. I keep looking at Kuros, Avenue Flo Special Delivery & Spirit Soup and keep telling them that I haven't forgotten n will get to them soon knowing Im picking the newbies over them haha
Wendy, you make me very happy I didn't purchase Surface-Noise. I always thought the name "Noise" was sooo dumb and because of that I just couldn't get into the story. I think it was the evil that was named noise but was it the girl? I can't remember. Anyways, even if it doesn't have the great achievements you want, maybe the bonus game will be awesome. xx
