I don't know what BFG Seattle has in store for us this weekend but both the French and German BFG sites have a BOGOF sale this weekend. It's just a pity that they don't have Bonus Punch Mondays anymore.
A couple of the other sites have Nevertales today so maybe France and Germany will also have it this weekend for anyone who wants it as that's a recent one.

I sure hope that BF Seattle has a BOGO sale soon because I'm just dying to get Nevertales CE, however it would be better if the BOGO sale was the weekend of 9th November because there are good games coming out then.
Nov. 7 - Myths of the World 2: Stolen Spring CE (Eipix)
Nov. 9 - Cursery: The Crooked Man and the Crooked Cat CE (Blue Tea games)
I think it's kinda unfair that the French/German sites had the 2 bonus punches for 1 SE whereas the US site only gives 1 bonus punch. Of course they didn't have the latest games. I couldn't find anything to buy 'cause I already had all that I wanted.

Well, I'm so behind that I can find some. I'm thinking of the CEs of
League of Light
Mystery Trackers Silent Hollow
Nightmares of the Deep Siren's Call
Nearwood
Witches Legacy
Final Cut Encore
Which ones are the best CE value and which ones will the SE version do?
I will probably buy 4 of them, although I will wait until tomorrow to see if our site has this special also. I kinda doubt if because of the Spooky Games. I hate to buy now and miss out on a possible BPM, but I'd hate not to buy and miss out on BOGO. There's still almost a dozen games I'm planning on the SE of. Maybe I should have looked harder yesterday, but it was hard trying to look for things in a foreign language. I know pidgeon Spanish and even less French, and all I can do in German is count to 6 and say Ghasundticht or whatever that is you say after a sneeze. I am fluent in carny, though

Wendy, you were pretty close to what you say after a sneeze! It's "Gesundheit", which means "health". It's what we also say in Australia when someone sneezes but I can't imagine many people know how to spell it. As for "carny", I have no idea what that means but I can guess.
And if you ever want to look for games on the French or German site just let me know and I can check them out for you as I speak both French and German and I'd be more than happy to check for you as I check out each site daily anyway.
As for your games ... I agonize before getting CEs as I always think that I can get 2 SEs instead but I got all 6 of the games you listed as CEs as I thought they were worth it. However, I've only played Nearwood and that I definitely recommend as a CE as it's in my top 3 games ever and I loved finding the 111 collectibles and reading their story afterwards, which tells the story of the collectibles and why they're there. I found the bonus - which is a separate story that takes place a few months following the end of the main game - to be longer than normal and just as good as the main game.
I wasn't sure about League of Light as the only extra that interested me was the collectibles (apart from the bonus chapter, of course) and there weren't 111 of them like in Nearwood. However, I loved what I played in the demo and the collectibles are all the same object but in different forms, so you have to really search each scene as you don't know if it's going to be the actual object, or in a painting, or part of a sculpture, etc, which I loved. I kept on thinking about the game as I really liked it and so eventually got the CE and am really glad I did.
As for the others, I thought they were all worth getting as CEs during a BOGOF sale. They're also really easy to find on the French site as all bar 1 is on the Top 10 list on the right side so you don't even have to go searching for them! And the one that's missing is on the "New Releases" (Nouveaux jeux) tab so really easy to find!
On the Top 10 list:
1. Mystery Trackers: Silent Hollow
4. League of Light: Sombres Presages
5. Nearwood
6. Witches' Legacy: La Reine des Sorcieres
8. Nightmares from the Deep: Le Chant de la Sirene
Final Cut: Encore can be found if you click on the "Nouveaux jeux" tab and go to 14 October.
I don't know if you already have it but, if not, I would definitely recommend No. 9 on the Top 10 list as it's also in my top 3 ever - Rite of Passage: Le Fils de la Foret - along with Nearwood. Both games I bought and played straight away, all the way through, whereas normally I add them to my To Play list, but I just couldn't wait to play them. I also got the No. 2 as a CE - Fierce Tales: Marcus' Memory.
I hope this helps you somewhat.

Barre, I gather you've demoed both those games? What did you think? The first Myths of the World didn't rock my world so only got the SE as I didn't think the collectible was worth it as it was exactly the same thing in each scene so wasn't all that exciting for me.
As for the French and German sites having 2 bonus punches, it's not the first time a foreign site has had a sale before Seattle as the Netherlands had the half-price credit sale the 2 days prior to the Seattle sale. But Seattle has a BPM every Monday and France and Germany used to but stopped that a few months ago. Who knows, maybe Seattle will have a 2-bonus-punch sale soon!
And I can't take advantage of the BOGOF, either. I already have all the CEs they have that I want (as either CE or SE) and, even if they have Nevertales tomorrow (Portuguese and Italian had it yesterday) there isn't another CE I want to go with it. Nor do they have any more SEs that I want as I got those yesterday with PCCs.
But I'm really glad I demoed all those games yesterday to take advantage of the 2-bonus-punch sale as I got 2 games that I wanted and got 2 that I found which I'd never heard of before and which I love! I've already almost finished Laruaville - only 3 buildings to go - and I've also only got 2 locations to finish in Puzzle Hero, which I just can't stop playing! Speaking of which, I think they're calling out to me...

Question for you guys. If I get 2 GCC on the US site, can I use them on the French site to get two games free? I've never bought from another countries site before.
Offline
misscatlady2453, you can use any GCCs or PCCs bought/earned on any BFG site on any other BFG site - they're all BFG, whether they're in English, French, German, Italian, Dutch, etc. And all games acquired on any BFG site turn up in your Purchase History, no matter from which site you got them. You just have to download them twice - once in the original language, once in English (the demo) - and sometimes it's a bit fiddly but no problem. I've bought credits and used PCCs on several foreign sites, as well as earned PCCs when I've got games on them, and I've never had a problem.
If you need any help navigating the French site, just let me know. But everything looks the same and is in exactly the same position as on the Seattle site, except that there's no box to type in a game's name to find it; you have to go through Help.

Okay thanks stusue. Not sure if I'm going to go through the French site or not. I'll have to think about it.

Thanks for the info, Stusue. I got the SE of Rite of Passage the other day. Fierce Tales Marcus kicked me out, but it played fine when I tried it again. It has tons of collectibles. So does Nightmare of the Deep Siren. I loved the first Final Cut, wished I would have gotten the CE. I liked Encore all right, it has a few morphs and some clovers and filmstrips to collect. Witches Legacy has 42 morphs and 45 puzzle pieces. Can't decide if I want to pay double price for a CE or just go the SE route. I'm usually tired of the game by the time I get to the bonus chapter. How bad do I want morphs and collectibles? Enough to give up other games to get them? Hmm....
Granted I was poking around, but I played 40 minutes of Final Cut Encore and haven't seen a clover, filmstrip, or a morph, so I guess the SE will do me just fine.
I wonder if BFG will have a BOGO this month. Last year we got the MCF special deal. For 2011 I have a lot of SEs listed around Thanksgiving but they aren't BOGO. The next BOGO seems to usually be at Christmas time. Christmas is on a Wednesday this year so I don't know what they'll do. Well, at least I have another day to decide. I might just go with 2 CEs since I don't seem to be overly enthusiastic about anything. It rained for a couple hours here this morning and it's been grey and dreary all day, I just can't get excited about anything.

Thanks stusue. I looked at the French site and there's only one CE I want. I think I'll look tomorrow (when does it turn into Sunday 3 Nov on the French site vis-a-vis the BFG site or even Greenwich Mean Time?)
