Re: Finish your games challenge

I finished Grim Tales: Bloody Mary Collector's Edition, well, everything except the Hall of Memories, which I imagine is a replay of some of the HO's and mini games.

I'll work on that today inbetween playing Fill and Cross: Trick or Treat.

I completed 10 games this month:

Nancy Drew: Shadow at the Water's Edge
Mystery Trackers: Silent Hollow Collector's Edition
Charm Tale
Off the Record: Linden Shades Collector's Edition
Jewel Charm
Nightmares from the Deep: The Siren's Call Collector's Edition
Jane Austen's: Estate of Affairs
Sable Maze: Norwich Caves Collector's Edition
Spooky Bonus
Grim Tales: Bloody Mary Collector's Edition

Would have broke even if Felix hadn't tempted me to fill another card by releasing Fill and Cross: Trick or Treat on BPM and stusue hadn't tempted me with Bonus Tampons.  So the total games acquired for the month is 15:

Riddles of Fate: Wild Hunt Collector's Edition
Sea of Lies: Mutiny of the Heart Collector's Edition
Surface: The Pantheon Collector's Edition
Sable Maze: Norwich Caves Collector's Edition
Enigmatis: The Mists of Ravenwood Collector's Edition
Haunted Hotel: Eclipse Collector's Edition
Nightmares from the Deep: The Siren's Call Collector's Edition
Myths of the World: Chinese Healer Collector's Edition
Jewel Charm
Heroes from the Past: Joan of Arc
Charm Tale
Tales of Lagoona 2: Peril at Poseidon Park
Spooky Bonus
7 Grand Steps
Fill and Cross: Trick or Treat
Call of the Ages
Puzzle Express (French)
Laruaville

The CE's were bought during the BOGO, and the SE's purchased with pcc's.  All my half-price credits are now gone, and I used 4 of my membershi credits from last year during the BOGO sale.

Added 84 games to my stash this year and my next game will be number 350.  If there's no CE BOGO in November, I'm going to try not to get anything during the month.

Re: Finish your games challenge

I have finished Namariel Legends:Iron Lord and Grim Tales: Bloody Mary CE.

Namariel, Thank God I ´m finished.
(Thanks Oscar for the offering of help )

Bloody Mary, for me it was rather illogical so I had to use the hint a lot to know what to do.
There was a lot back and forth, but the puzzles were fun. As usual with Elephant  the graphics were gorgeous

Re: Finish your games challenge

Tirama, thanks for reminding me of Puzzle Express I bought it on Real Arcade and think I should play it again. Another oldie I´m playing now is Crystal Path. The levels are rather long so I only play on level at a time. Eyestrain...

Re: Finish your games challenge

Thank you Tirama for my first lol moment of the day with your bonus tampons!

No problem Anki.

I have been playing Spooky Bonus as well and have the pumpkin scene as my screensaver.

I bought 16 games this month all at the BOGO or with pccs. I finished 11. I used 3 pccs today as well to buy my mom The Snow, Spooky Bonus and World Mosaics 6 (I think). She likes those sort. I may buy her an inlay type game as well.  Tirama what would be your recommendation for that?

I counted and I have purchased 116 games this year, so I think I will have to reign this in a bit.  I hate to even add the cost up, including membership I'd say closed to $500.00.  which I guess isn't too bad at $50 a month for entertainment.  We don't go out to often and the last time I saw a movie in a theatre was in 2000!  There's $50 to go out for two.

There was a big controversy at the time about how short Spirit Seasons was.  Valdy and some others only got to the end of Chapter 2 while many, many others made it to the end of 5, even into chapter 6 of 7.  Here is my post from that thread

I read this thread and decided to play in the easy mode as quickly as I could without skipping any dialogue. I didn't skip any games and I thought I did them in a reasonable time. I used a hint for the last object in all the H0 scenes to increase my speed. I, too, like the slower players only made it to the end of Chapter 2 in the demo hour. I just don't understand how so many people could have gotten almost finished. I have always thought I was a bright intelligent person who was good at puzzles and fairly good at the H0 scenes but I guess I am very delusional. It really has shaken my faith in myself to find I am so very far below par. I feel slightly sick to my stomach actually. I know this doesn't technically mean I'm stupid but it sure feels that way. My only consolation is that I get much more playing time for my money, and I don't run out of games nearly as quick as you smart fishies.

I really did feel quite upset at the time because I was so slow but it doesn't bother me any more.  I always get at least 2 days out of a game, usually 3.  And I did play the game twice and I don't think I was too much faster the second time through

Wendy...I went back to read this thread -wow, it got a little heated there for a bit.  Speaking for myself I am on pace for a 3 hour game. I should finish it tonight in between the trick or treaters.  That's just for the first ending.  I'll have to see about getting the second ending in November.

Re: Finish your games challenge

that goes back to one of my priorpost on pet peeves with posters intimating that others are dumb  because they didn't finish a game in 2 hours on super duper extra hard mode. Yup you whizzed thru others didn't so what.  I like to soak in my surroundings and read everything.  I read the diary even at times! My goal is never to speed to the end and I rarely play on the hardest level.  Love the custom settings! But others like do that and I'd never say or you're an idiot if you don't play like me or like the same things.

eta I bought 9 of those in your list Sunshine

Re: Finish your games challenge

oscar66 - I only know of 3 inlays games carried by BF: Ancient Mosaic, Charm Tale, and Jewel Charm.

They all have different game mechanics.  In the first two games, you place the pieces and clear the board.  In the last one, Jewel Charm, you place the pieces and they remain on the board so that you can view the finished item.

I only demoed Ancient Mosaic and don't remember if it had a relaxed mode.  The other two games can be played in relaxed mode, though Jewel Charm has a few levels that are timed even in relaxed mode.  However, if you don't finish in time, the game allows you to continue to the next level.  And you can replay any level for a higher score whenever you like.

In Charm Tale, in addition to filling in the inlays, there were artifacts to complete (jewelry, flowers).  Some of those pieces were very difficult to see.

Of the two games I played, I preferred Jewel Charm.

Re: Finish your games challenge

Thanks Tirama I'll try to Jewel Charm out, that will give me an idea if she'd like it.  Now I'm off to work.

Oscar, that thread was more like the slower players calling the faster players liars
