Re: Finish your games challenge

Tirama, as if I'd find a half-price credit sale on one of the foreign sites and not tell all you guys!    No, the sale on the Netherlands site was, imho, trialled the Thursday and Friday before the US site had it over the following weekend back last year.  I say 'trialled' as the Netherlands sale was umlimited whereas the US site the day after was limited to, I think, only 48 credits.  I think they may have learned to limit the credits as maybe all the Dutch bought as many as I did.

Sunshinej, I think it was MEMBERS.  ** big grin when I saw your big wave **

We were supposedly limited to 24 per day but the Big Fish, Paul Thelen, posted in CCC that if we waited an hour after a purchase, we could get more.  The "limit" was to circumvent credit card companies from suspecting card theft or fraud.  I know when I had to use cash for CE BOGO's, after so many transactions (I always bought the games 2 at a time rather than all on one purchase), my card company would lock my card and I had to call and tell them "It's okay.  I really am pigging out on computer games at 3 in the morning."   I bought 74 of those half-price credits, but alas, I used the last of them this month.

Re: Finish your games challenge

FYI, the sale code " MEMBERS " still works. Just picked up Nevertales for 8.39. Also got my bonus punch with it. Thinking about getting eithere The Happy Hereafter of TGT with a pcc I have to finish out the month with an empty card.

Re: Finish your games challenge

Tirama, I didn't know that that's why they had the limit.  And I also didn't know that if you waited an hour you could buy some more.    But when I bought 'more than 74' I suddenly got even more careful about getting CEs (and even SEs) as I wanted the credits to last as long as possible and so still have some left.  But I much prefer buying credits from somewhere in Europe as I'm registered in Australia and so don't have to pay any tax on European games/credits and so get them cheaper than buying them from the US (where I also don't pay tax but they're more expensive).

Sunshine, I think it was "member" or "members"

Re: Finish your games challenge

I've had a change in plans.  I thought I was done for the month, but I really want to get Fill and Cross: Trick or Treat.  And waiting until Nov 4 to get a Halloween game seems dumb.

So I'm going to get 3 more games today and fill yet another card.

In addition to Fill and Cross: Trick or Treat, I'm getting 7 Grand Steps, a board strategy game.

Any recommendations for my final game?

Re: Finish your games challenge

I decided to get Spooky Bonus as my game to fill up my card. I did want Fill and Cross and will probably get it but will wait since I don't have enough to fill another card

Tira, have you tried The Happy Hereafter. It is sort of a quest/adventure game with zombies. Sort of like Gemini Lost or that Paradise game that PZ had a thousand profiles for. Other than that I can't think of another game for you.

Re: Finish your games challenge

Tirama,  Do you have  Call of the Ages,  the new Playrix  M3?  I really like it.  It's very similar to   Path of Hercules,  which I love.  Also been compared to  Around the World in 80 Days,  which was my favorite for a long time,  but it's been quite awhile since I played it.
