Re: People and things in games that leave you shaking your head

Forgot to snark after finishing Farmington Tales.  After working our tushies off to earn that Farmer of the Year Award so that what's his name can pay Dahlia's hospital bills, we are then asked to continue working to help them save for retirement.  Our thanks for our efforts is that Dahlia buys two tickets for the Bahamas and drags her husband off to Margaritaville.

Does she sell the farm?  No.  She just runs off leaving crops in the field, animals in barns, coops, etc.  Doesn't even take their dog.  Why not reward ME for all my help by giving me the farm and let me finish collecting all the trophies.

Re: People and things in games that leave you shaking your head

I just did a Beta for BF called   Paranormal State Poison Spring.  It had several issues,  in my opinion.  But what really got me was,  when the paranormal investigative team is searching this creepy old museum for a vanished team member,  poor Ryan falls through the floor into a dark,  creepy cellar.    The other guys sort of wave and say,
more or less,  "Gee,  Ryan,  hope you can find another way out!  We'll be waiting for you."  I expected them to say they'd save him some pizza.

Am I missing something?  There seems to be a lot of grumbling about BFG changing direction going a different way etc. I don't get it.  They still have a game a day, etc etc. they still have punch cards, they still have dd, gcc, pcc.  People are complaining about the quality, story lines, game mechanics but those are the devs and producers responsibility not BFG.  If they were releasing a FTP game everyday and a PC/Mac game once a week then maybe those statements might make a little more sense to me.

I don't get it either.  People seem o blame BF for everything in the gaming world that they don't like.

Has anybody looked at Gamezebo lately?  I've deleted them from my bookmarks.  They rarely review any of the games that are released on BF, not even the CE's.  Everything is iPad, iPod, iPhone, iDon'tKnowWhatElse.

As far as the quality, storylines, etc goes, every game is not going to be a 5 star game (in spite of what one reviewer seems to think).  And I'm glad, because I can't afford to buy every game, not even when I was using half-price credits during BOGO's.

It's interesting that people are moaning about not being able to pick things up right away (same thing happened when 13 Skulls was released, people complained about not being able to pick up the crayons until the little girl asked for them), but will turn around and complain that games are unrealistic.  Like in real life you would walk around with a ladder for an hour or so, on the off chance you find a house you need to enter from an upper story window.
