Are any of these items only used for a single ZZ?
torch
murderer's eye
winged amulet
shard of soul
forged key
There's no other zoom zone (other than the iron chest) that needs a murderer's eye to open it, however, there are zoom zones that are opened using an item from the iron chest.
All the other items you mentioned are used to open zoom zones in other sections of the game in addition to those in the castle. That is why upper level players would park a "blue key" person onto a quest to open the hole in the wall (uses 2 torches) or better yet, something that comes out of the hole in the wall. And that's why those random DQ's are so brutal for upper level players. Being asked to open the telescope (3 pole stars) or the overgrown column (2 forged keys) multiple times really isn't fair, especially when we are already being crushed by the number of items needed to pack airships.

I was considering using one of the items listed until I had none left and then buying it with diamonds for the achievement. I anticipate using a lot of my current inventory opening ZZ for Trina and eventually needing to supplement with diamonds. I still have 3800 pet medallions so it would take me a lot of time and coins to craft my way through them.
It sounds like Murderer's Eye would be the best choice if I need to do that.
I agree that the random DQs are unfair to all and can see the extra burden on upper level players. I also think the HOS give out those common items more frequently to lower levels.

OMG! Opened my game this morning to find a 402 wheel airship sitting there.

I suppose the items added correctly? No fluke? That's outrageous. No, just pure evil

Well, I'm not a morning person. Sat there looking at it for several minutes trying to take it in. The number 402 just looked so wrong. Kept dividing it by 3, getting 134 as the answer and mumbling "That can't be right". I do remember all the amounts were greater than 40. It was a very balanced ship. An unbalanced ship could ask for 50 of the same item.
Looks like Trina could take longer than we thought.

That's horrible. Sending 3 ships is a pain in the ass but sending a 402 wheel airship is obscene.

And yet I had a teeny weeny airship (by max level standards) for 228. So maybe Trina will average out nicely over time without too much waste

Well, I won't be packing any 402 wheel airships. Not until I reach a level where that's considered a low amount of wheels.

The CC task that unlocks at the new day is for packing 12 airship crates. Is everyone anticipating taking several days to do this?
I figure those of you only working Trina will wait for her to need wheels, and the rest of us (hi BApple!) will be waiting even longer for 10 part DQs.

I've been anticipating taking several days on that task ever since the CC began. But I'm not going to waste my airship items by sending any ship that comes in and they're not going to be packed unless Trina wants wheels.
I figure that task and the remaining dice task are going to take me extra days to complete. My goal is to be all caught up by the time task #27 (3 parts of a DQ) unlocks.
