Medallions don't have a drop slot - you get them from completing each part of a DQ; sometimes when your pets bring back a wooden, rusty, or blue chest; sometimes in the gifts from a friend at Christmas.  Can't remember if they pop up on the crafting wheel.

The only way not to be rich in stamps and pet food is to use the.  But the stamps can only be sold for coins, or used for crafting (the crafted item can be sold for coins or shards).  The pet food can be sold for coins or shards, or used to feed pets (who will bring back coins, shards, stamps, diamonds, or medallions).  

I'm starting to think about life after the DQ achievements, whether my playing strategy will change, how much inventory I will need, what kind of inventory I will need, and if it's possible to convert my excess stuff into something that I can use.
 

Thanks for sharing.  I'll probably play the first 16 in the Castle, but depending on the amount of ZZ openers in my inventory, maybe I'll let Trina decide where to send me when she wants HOS.  Might not be as boring as doing rounds.  And I'll still do PARTS of Dq's when they fit in with what Trina is asking for to keep up my supply of pet medallions. 

No way do I want to have to play puzzles to get diamonds to BUY pet medallions.  I don't want to play puzzles at all.

Rather confusing.  I wouldn't describe MC as a Hidden Object Adventure game.  But the spin-off HOPA series Midnight Calling won't be 5 years old until Sep 2020 (going by PC release) so they can't be referring to that.

The MC beta for PC was released in Dec 2013, and the official release date of the PC version was Jan 22, 2014.  So the 5th birthday has come and gone.  Don't know when the game was issued for iOS, but the tech thread for iOS on the BF forum was started on Mar 21.

Not going to get too fussed about whatever it is they are celebrating, since I play on a PC.  Of course, maybe the mobile-centric folks on Facebook just forgot to mention us.

But to be on the safe side, I'm going to go easy on sending airships, just in case the celebration includes PC folks and it involves a castle challenge.

March 4

Since the BF server is acting wonky, I won't be doing much needed rounds and puzzles. I'll attempt the DQ as it has single HOS visits. Thank goodness it is not a 10-part requiring an amulet.

Maybe this will shake up those DQ loops any of you are in. 

Thanks to the wonky server, I was unable to complete Secret Delivery and consequently wasted inventory sending an airship.  As if it isn't galling enough to have to play 10-part DQ's in the forlorn hope that a 5-part DQ will appear.

My second game is still looping.  Day starts with either Three Days or Something New.

Game #1 received Ancient Picture.  Used diamonds to speed through it and received Record Keeper.  Only way I can do that DQ is by using an amulet, I just don't have the inventory to open those zoom zones.  But with the server still so wonky, I'm worried I'll end up wasting the energy units.

I'm also receiving more than my fair share of coins for playing the HOS and more than my fair share of silhouette mode.

I need an update.
