Last year was not all bad TiramaSue.. it was during fall and winter event I laid the ground for finishing the DQ’s. I played the same 25 HOS over and over again.. 4-8 times a day.. which gave me a lot lot lot of the items used in the DQ’s and having the items ment it was faster to finish. Also I played the puzzles for diamonds.. to buy the airship back and open dicetable.

You only play 1 game. Having 3 CC's and 2 seasonal events with very little time between each CC is very difficult for those who have more than 1 game. And the seasonal events get more and more difficult as more flying objects are introduced.

Still nothing on Facebook.
Looking at 3 scenarios:
1) Repeat of last year with regular CC starting within the next 7 days (but we'll need an update to receive the avatar and tasks)
2) There will only be the two seasonal events and the CC's associated with them.
3) The game is no longer being updated (it's been 3 months since the last update, which included a CC, character quests, and 2 puzzles).
If the answer is 3), I wish BF and/or Elephant Games would tell us so that I could throw all my inventory and diamonds at the gnomes to finish the DQ achievements and so that I could level up. Doubt I'd continue playing until I was done with Trina if the game wasn't being updated. Even at 100 quests a month, it would still take me 3 plus years. Not willing to devote that much time to a dead game.

While I am also more than ready for an update, I hope a CC doesn't finish during the first few days of the fall event. It worked out okay last year for me ,but can be very stressful for newer players. And at least once since I have been playing, there was 6 months between story updates. So I remain optimistic that all is well and when the fall event starts we can rebuild our inventory.

Last year's start of the Fall event while a regular CC was still in progress was very stressful for me because I didn't have any Fall event items left over in my inventory. And I'm sure I wasn't the only "old" player in that situation. Having to complete 10 Fall Event DQ's to fulfill CC quest 26 the very first day of the Fall event was cruel to new players who had no Fall inventory, and cruel to old players who were forced to complete DQ's they might have passed (like collecting 9 of the old ghosts).
I know many people are hoping that the Fall event will add yet more ghosts, I think that would be horrible. There's already 6 colors of ghosts (and 9 different ones of each color). Do we really want another 27 ghosts? An absolute horror for lower level players who don't have that many locations opened, and it wouldn't be much fun for maxed out players either, moving from location to location hoping to find the right color ghost.
I'm hoping there's a Fall room, with 3 new scenes, and the Fall achievements will be to play each scene X amount of times. Do I really want to spend the event playing the same 3 scenes over and over again? Not really, but it beats having to chase down even more ghosts. And leveling up 3 new scenes would help the airship item supply.
Can't even think of what could be added for the Winter event.

GulfStreamGuppy, where are you? Misery loves company, and this new update has made me very miserable.
Need strategy ideas. How am I supposed to do rounds while I'm waiting for a hidden object scene to be available to play if I don't know which scene will appear in the next part of my DQ??????
The amount of time it takes to complete a DQ could possibly double if a player has to wait after every part for a HOS to make itself available. And if we don't play rounds, how are we supposed to get the airship items we need?

OMG, OMG, what the heck, what the heck...I go AWOL for 6 days into hurricane Florence aftermath territory and all hell breaks loose in the Castle. Still reading posts and wonder if I dare open my game yet!!!

You have to open your game to play the CC. Because the avatars are lovely.

Well, I have completed the update because I had 19 minutes left on an amulet after Robbery of the Century. No point in really setting up the Blue Key quests (I came up with 8 characters) since DQs are unknown. I did, however, gather all of the inventory for the ZZ portions to likely use for Trina. Of course she only wants wheels, wheels, wheels, so I guess my only "strategy" is rounds, rounds, rounds and hoping for 19 more doable 10 part DQs. Really looking forward to the Fall event.
