Re: Finish your games challenge

I put aside Theatre of the Absurd for now.  Wasn't in the mood for demons and gargoyles.  I started The Gift instead which is about the occult and a serial murderer (nothingman) set in the 1940's or 50's.

Re: Finish your games challenge

Thanks sunshinej, for your take on CHRONICLES OF VIDA.  I don't need to get all the achievements in a game and don't mind skipping puzzles.  From what you've said even easy mode (in which I play all my HOPAs)  migt be too hard.  When I have a good chunk of time (in another life!) I'll give it a try.  You've given me some hope!

Re: Finish your games challenge

Has anybody tried today's soft release Joining Hands 2, or the first one Joining Hands?

Suffering through the bonus chapter.

I can grit my teeth and ignore calling a handkerchief a kerchief but what the hell does "There can be something useful in the wagon, but first I need to open this tent from think cloth" mean?

Re: Finish your games challenge

I finished the main game of  Hansel & Gretel,  and am on the bonus game.  My feelings about it fluctuated a bit,  but it held my interest,  I enjoyed it,  and hey,  I actually finished it!  The main problem was that it was too dark,  but that's partly my stupid computer's fault.  Don't get me started.  I was over halfway through before I found the map.

Sunshine I have both The Gift and Theatre of the Absurd, but have played neither.

Re: Finish your games challenge

I ended up getting Sea of Lies: Mutiny of the Heart CE and Myth's of the World: Chinese Healer SE during hte recent 50% deal for Eipix games. I tried Sea of Lies CE as a demo and quite enjoyed it. I also tried the CE version of Chinese Healer but I decided to get the SE because I wasn't that into finding the crane collectibles and I read that the main game ends conclusively so I figured I wouldn't miss much just getting the SE.

I had been thinking of getting Hansel and Gretel during the sale but it didn't grab me that much like I thought it would. I'll see about picking it up during the next BOGO.

ETA: I think I'll play some more of Sea of Lies before going to bed. The way my computer is situated, it is better to play games after the sun goes down. I can see the computer screen better. The sun hits right on the computer screen which makes the darker games harder to do.

Re: Finish your games challenge

I really liked what I saw of the graphics in Hansel and Gretel.  It reminds me of Drawn.

and I'm quite enjoying Lost Souls.  It is a dark game but very easy play.

Re: Finish your games challenge

Finished bonus chapter of The Gold Bug.  Sure hope Masque of the Red Death is a better game.

Tried Joining Hands.  Starts off simple, difficulty increases as you move through the levels.  Nice little logic puzzle game that first debuted on mobile devices.  Going to check out Joining Hands 2 after I finish Red Death.  Probably will get both games with pcc's this month.
