I downloaded the Alicia game to play but I just got a black screen with the odd flash of graphics in it! It's the end of my playing time today but I'll re-download it and see if I can get it working. Sounds right up my street.
Okay, I finally got into Albert's shack.
And got into the room at the back of the library.
And placed the plate on the lost grave.
I know I need drawer labels and the last part of a photo ...
But my inventory is empty ...
And I can't find any other active area!
What have I missed?
Fudge, I hope you get it working...
Not only because it's a really challenging, thinky game ...
But I need help!
Okay, so I resorted to using the mouse so I'd see the cursor changes ...
Going back scene by scene ...
Stupid tiny folder sitting on the shelf ...
So now I'm up at the mansion!
But how the heck am I going to get in?

Sounds like you're having fun, stusue! Sorry for calling you Sun! I'm sure she won't mind either.
I really hope I can get the game to work tomorrow.
ETA: Btw, what resolution are you playing it on?

I sure am having fun!
When I'm not totally lost!
But boy does this game make you think!
Especially as I'm playing with touch so no contextual icon changes.
The minigames aren't terribly difficult.
But sometimes the instructions are a bit obscure...
And some of the achievements (35) are for doing unnecessary things!
So you've gotta click on everything!
And ask everyone in the game for help!
If you can't get it working tomorrow, contact CS straight away!
My screen res is 3840 x 2160.
And feel free to call me Stu.

Thanks, Stu! I'll try again tomorrow and contact CS if I have no luck. Funny thing is that I can see the intro just fine!

No problem, Fudge!
It's weird that you can see the intro.
That's the only part of the game with animation and lip-syncing!

Stay safe Tirama! This looks like a bad one.

Sorry, Stu. I've tried all I can for the Alicia game. I managed to get it working by disabling the virtual machine's display adapter and then the Windows one kicked in. Unfortunately the resolution then won't go high enough so I can only see where to put my name and not the play button or anything else! I'm not going to write to CS because it's obvious that the display adapter just isn't compatible with this game. Happens on about 10% of games alas. It's what comes of using a virtual machine.

I've managed to finish the main game of Final Cut: The True Escapade Collector's Edition. I'm hoping to do the bonus material tonight or tomorrow morning.
In between prepping for the hurricane, I've mostly been playing Queen's Garden Halloween. It will probably take me until Christmas the earliest to finish 6 gardens. I've only completed 55% of the first one.

I finished MCF: Escape From Ravenhearst. Very imaginative game in a macabre sort of way. Next I started playing MCF: Shadow Lake. This game did not work on win8.1 laptop, it just froze, so had to pull out the vista laptop to play it. Plays just fine on the vista. I met the psychic...seems corny so far, but should be fun.
I demo'd Epistory: Typing Chronicles this morning and boy, did that hour go by fast since I was really enjoying how the game kept expanding. I like the typing aspect of the game. I used up my last birthday Gift Certificate from my daughter to get it. stusue...It looks like I have more good puzzle stuff to come according to you.
Tirama...stay safe in the storm.
