I finished Myths of the World: Chinese Healer...now this is a game I have started a few times and couldn't get into it. Then on my third recent try I finally was able to play it all the way through. Maybe not in the mood before(?) because I enjoyed it this time around.
I finished the main game of Surface: Mystery of Another World. I liked it and thought the HO scenes were unique in that you had to find a object or two first so that you could complete the scene. I would have been happy with the SE as I don't care to play against Sid in the bonus game, but will eventually get around to playing it. Fun puzzles, some hard ones.
I just started playing MCF: Escape From Ravenhearst. What a disturbing, but brilliant game. Also, I wish so many people didn't squawk about the morphing scenes when this game came out because I found them to be fun. Wish more games had them.

I've just finished the demo for Mystery Tales: Eye of the Fire CE.
What a disappointment!!!! I'd been so looking forward to its release!
I played the beta months ago and I think I've simply played too many really good games in the interim so that now Eye of the Fire was really disappointing as it doesn't live up to those games and doesn't have the things that I now find are important to me. There are lots of great things about it but the negatives are enough that I'll now wait for GH to release it as a PE.
PROs:
- Easy/Hard choice in MGs - and Hard really means harder!
- variety in HOPs and MGs - some original
- some HOPs have more than 1 level
PROs/CONs:
- very clear graphics BUT unfortunately too oversaturated for me
- good music BUT you hardly ever hear it, which is typical for Domini
- one piece of music, once, when you enter a new scene and that's it
- if you enter a scene again there's no music - nothing - absolute silence
- I even played a HOP in absolute silence! I found it really unnerving
- lots of collectibles with lots of interesting information
- morphing dungeon items, witch's pages, tarot cards
- BUT they're way too easy to spot - morphs are in psychedelic colours!
- lots of achievements - 20 earned, 13 gameplay
- some are really hard to earn - eg. 10 HOPs in under 1 min each !!!!!!!!
- and the HOPs are challenging and multi-level !!!!!!!! So impossible !
- AND you can't get them all unless you give up a HOP and play the alternate M3
- the story was interesting but not riveting and not very original
CONs:
- BBTs give way too much info and you can't turn them off
- you can't turn off Plus Item indicators - red for a PI, green when it's active
- it's a totally SILENT game, just like all Domini games
- only came across 1 extra scene click - a butterfly flew away - that was it
- animation is really blurry and super pixelated - really turned me off the game
Recommendation for me: Wait for GH to get the PE

Now I'm off to play the bonus chapter of Grim Legends 2: Song of the Dark Swan PE.
I played the main game yesterday and it was SO much better than I'd expected!
I only got the SE when it was released but was always tempted to get the CE.
Now, after having played the main game, I'm glad I didn't get the CE, even though the collectibles were really good and really well camouflaged - the most imaginative I've seen - for example, they were part of a decoration, or were part of the foliage of a tree, in the exact same colour and shape. However, you get nothing but an achievement and a jigsaw puzzle - that's done for you! - if you collect them all - the pieces are added as you find each one - and it's not even a wallpaper. And you can only replay the HOPs, not the MGs, and some of them were my fav MGs! And no Souvenir Room, no info, nothing extra.
However, I'll see what the bonus chapter's like...

Thank you, Stusue
I played the main game of Grim Legends 2: Song of the Dark Swan PE today too! It is good. I'm going to play the bonus chapter tomorrow.
I've just finished Laruaville 5. I've been playing a few levels at the end of each playtime just to relax. It was fun.

Hey, Fudge, I hope you're feeling heaps better!
I've just finished playing the bonus chapter!
I absolutely it! But I'm not sure if it's a sequel or prequel...
It's like different developers made the BC as it's really cute and funny!
A proper review for the entire game tomorrow, as it's really late now.
But I'm busy tomorrow so I won't be able to play Grim Legends 3 until Saturday!
It's one of the games I got cheap from the Windows Store.
ETA: I forgot to say that I've downloaded Laruaville 5 but I think I'd better play 4 first...

Laruaville 5 is the first Laruaville game I've played. I'm working backwards!

Fudge and stusue - Laruaville 4 is Christmas game. I'm saving it for end of November, beginning of December.
Still working my way through Halloween Riddles: Mysterious Griddlers. Lots of counting in this one, and not many big numbers. Hope I can finish it today.
The next HOPAs I'm going to play will be the last 3 from the Final Cut series. For the remainder of the year, I'm going to focus on finishing series that are no longer being continued.

Fudge, I'm so happy you're feeling a bit better!
Now you just have to feel all better!
You thought the bonus chapter in Grim Legends 2 wasn't long enough ????
It took me 1.5 hours and I used hints continuously to get around as I found the gameplay quite challenging. AND I used the SG for the second last MG and skipped the last one altogether because in both cases I was going around and around and thought the world wouldn't end if I skipped them. So I didn't think it was short! Did you play both bonus chapters or just the one with the forest spirits, which took me about half an hour?
Tirama and Fudge, I own the first 4 Laruaville games but I'm not sure which I've finished and which I haven't. I know I've finished at least 2 and am at least halfway through at least 1. But I can't remember which ones. But that's a really good idea, Tirama, waiting to play 4 until near Christmas!

There was TWO bonus chapter???? LOL I didn't realise!!! No wonder I thought it was short!!! Where was the second bunus chapter?
Darn it, uninstalled it and deleted the save files. I'll have to play it all again!!!! I don't mind, I liked it! I'm so stupid!
ETA: Thanks, TiramaSue. Might save Laruaville 4 then and play 3 next instead.
