An example ... if someone asked you where somewhere was which was west of the Blue Mountains (ie. west of Sydney), and you had no idea where it was, you'd simply reply, "I dunno. Out woop woop somewhere." That is, it's somewhere in the middle of nowhere, as there's nothing much of anything between the east and west coasts in Australia, and it's a long way away. So anywhere really away from the coast is "out woop woop".
