Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

Thanks, FudgeChi and lilyr.

In a way, thinking of the whole horrible experience as some sort of demented HOPA actually helps.

It's over.  The nursing home called at 11:21 to tell us that he passed away in his sleep.

OMG, I'm so sorry to hear this.  After having gone through this recently with my parents, he is now in a better place and you and your husband as well as your FIL were spared a tortuous road of heartbreak and exasperation.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

I am sorry to hear about your FiL, Tirama.  Maybe you can try to find solace that he died peacefully in his sleep.

I am so sorry about your FiL Tirama.  How is DH holding up?  I will pray for all of you.  I DO agree with tee.  It's a blessing that he died peacefully in his sleep.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

Thanks everybody.  We're doing okay and realize it's for the best.  He had been declining rapidly the past two weeks.  Tiffany has been a big help.  She went to visit her grandpa 2-3 times a week and I think the other residents are going to miss seeing her.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

Tirama glad you both are doing okay.  Tiffany will probably miss the extra attention she was getting from the other residents too.  I always thought that it was a good idea for a nursing home to have a resident cat or dog.  Good for both the residents and the pet.

I finished Syberia II...a great game...it does get a little tedious and a little sad in the Youkol village though.
Echoes of Sorrow...a ok game...

I bought Shadowplay: Darkness Incarnate over the weekend.  I'm liking it and it has a couple of different HOP's that I've seen yet.  2 with sliders and 1 at the washing machine.
