I put the Star Trek on my list.
Drug? That's plain stupid! It would annoy me, it is dragged!!!!!
You might get used to your cell, Sun. Took me a long time after using one with a keyboard but I'm not so bad now.

Fudge, when I heard my boss say drug I was like... drug? what drugs? because it didn't make any sense in the sentence when I heard it. It sounded dumb to me too.

Does this bother anyone else besides me. Using drug for dragged. For example... that job drug on for so long that... or that job dragged on for so long that...
That first example doesn't even make sense to me and I heard it from my boss. I was taught the past tense of drag is dragged. Drug just sounds weird and incorrect.
.
Yes, drives me insane whether the person uses drug or drugged when they should be using dragged. The verb 'to drug' means to administer a drug to (someone) in order to induce stupor or insensibility.
Another one that drives me cuckoo is when somebody types "bare with me" instead of "bear with me". I'm willing to exercise patience while you go into a long explanation, but I'm not about to get naked with you.

lol Tirama. I have a few that drive me to distraction as well. My biggest pet peeve is when people say "I'm so estatic" Ack! Not the same sort of example, but so irritating. Do they even teach kids the difference between there, their and they're anymore? Or did it go the way of cursive writing?
I was watching Bachelor in Paradise (my summer guilty pleasure, don't judge me) and was surprised that no one, no one, knew what glib meant. A dozen adults, most college graduates and none of them knew what Chris Harrison meant when he said he didn't think now was a time to be glib.

oscar, I'm with you on there, their and they're...started to post that myself. There are so many more that I cringe when I see them but guess they weren't paying attention in English class.
Another BIP watcher here but my tolerance was almost pushed to the limit with the Josh/Amanda stuff Monday night. I feel so sorry for her because he is just going to use her...doesn't strike me as someone who wants to become an instant daddy to two little girls. Wished they had muted him!! Also, hate to admit this but psycho Chad is from my HOME TOWN!! I was watching the follow up show and couldn't believe that he actually said he was sad that he wouldn't get to be the next bachelor, as if they would even choose him; afraid the ratings would drop, I would hope.

FudgeChi -- I don't know if you watch the Olympics, but there's a Scottish woman who is competing for Great Britain in individual diving. She's very good.

Yea another watcher. Love this summer trainwreck! The slurping and moaning Tee! way ott. I imagine Amanda will be pretty embarrassed watching that. Him probably not. And I am embarrassed for Evan, just walk away Evan, walk. away.
Oh and there is Daniel, dumb as a bag of rocks. But somehow oddly endearing in his awkward way, and totally befuddling speech,
I do love the cheeseball opening number and a shout out to Jorge! Glad to have him back.

Thanks, Lily. I've been bad at watching the Olympics this year because of the times. I'm going to look on Google for the Scottish diver!

Yes, probably I will. My DiL was just saying how a few years ago that there was a variety of cell phones to choose from and today they all look the same.

I don't know Oscar, I don't think schools are teaching homophones at all or hardly at all. I just saw someone use the word witch to start a sentence. Which reminds me of a saying I knew from my youth. Which witch is which?

I think we all have our guilty pleasure shows. Mine is Storage Wars. A bunch of people in California bid on storage units that have been abandoned. I find the show very funny...better than any sitcom.
I think Wendy was saying something about the weather. I feel for you being outdoors in that horrible humidity. My area was 75% humidity and 90 degree temps. It is awful! Hope your new place has better weather.

Ya'll, we just had an EARTHQUAKE about 7:00 am this morning. I was sleeping on the couch and don't know if I heard a boom, but the picture on the wall above my head was shaking and it went on for about 30 seconds. Just had a post to my phone awhile ago that it was a 5.6 near Pawnee, OK which is about 62 miles from Tulsa . We were having lots due to the oil and gas wells in that area (fracing and underground water disposal) but they've made them cut way back on that because people were getting irate at all of the small ones. I think they said it was a record for a quake here in Oklahoma. I always seemed to feel the others when I was at the computer as my chair would sway a little but this was a lot scarier because it was more of a shaking than a swaying.
