Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

This month I've finished Death and Betrayal in Romania: A Dana Knightstone Novel PE, Fantasy Mosaics 2, Fantasy Mosaics 13: Unexpected Visitor and Invasion: Lost in Time.

I had fun with all these games. Really liked the Invasion one, it was jam-packed with some great puzzles

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

I finished Paranormal Crime Investigations: Brotherhood of the Crescent Snake CE...while it was a good game it was a very bad CE.  It only had the bonus chapter, SG, wallpapers etc.  I don't know why I bought the CE for this one.

I am also working on
Syberia II, --  an adventure!
Burger Shop 2,  -- frustratingly fun
Dark Strokes: The Legend of the Snow Kingdom CE -- Now this is what a CE should be and also I am enjoying the game.  HO scenes very nicely done.  Game play is good...if you like them on the easy side.

Grim Tales The Last Suspect was okay, definitely not worth a CE and for those going to play.....please keep in mind apparently a leaf is a sheet and a pinecone is a bump.  lol

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

I finished Mystery P.I.: The Vegas Heist.  This game has 25 levels, the first one had only 20 levels.  I'm about halfway through the unlimited seek and find mode.  I like seeing what each scene looks like without all the junk in it.  I wish the earlier Mystery Case File games would have had that option.

Speaking of Mystery Case Files, All About Casual Games has now listed the next MCF as being scheduled for release in Oct.

In addition to playing the Mystery PI games, I'm also working on MC's 2nd Castle Challenge.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

I'm sorry to hear that Tirama.  I hope he settles in okay.  My dad is in the same boat although he is still mobile with a walker. He was to see a therapist to be assessed and has exercises to do as he is very weak.  Doing exercises with someone who might not even understand what his arm or leg is at that moment has been difficult for my mom. He is on a waiting list for a long term care nursing home.  I do wish my mom had done it sooner as the list is a couple of years wait for where she wants.  I don't believe she will get what she hopes for though as he is unfortunately deteriorating quite quickly and she has health problems of her own. My fear is one of his falls will result in a broken hip or something.

The Lottery one was my favourite Mystery PI

Tirama -- I'm glad FiL got placed.  As oscar said, I hope he settles in okay.

oscar -- I'm so sorry to hear about your father.  Hope he gets placed sooner than you said.  Your mom perhaps should have put him on a list sooner but that is such a difficult deciasion for loved ones to make.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

Hi, everybody.   I finished several solitaire games, Forgotten Tales: Day of the Dead, Avalon Legends, and the Framed one that Lily mentioned.  I loved that one but I do wish the story would have been better, seems odd saying that about a solitaire game but they could have done a lot more with it, I was actually playing each hand hoping for more story.  And I actually played it twice...in a row...I liked it so much.  I liked it because it was so fast and easy.   You started each hand with your powerups filled and ready to use, and they keep your combo going.  I would play as much of the hand as I could with the first card.  After that if there was a good combo laying on the board I would use the hammer to play the combo, otherwise I would use the shuffle option and hope a good combo came up.  And there were always the wild cards.   Easy peasy but I really liked it because of that.
I finally finished Lost Lands Horesmen, thankfully the bonus chapter was short.  Good game but I  just wasn't in the mood.
I tried The Rivers of Alice and it was way too hard for me.  The hints are pictograms and I never really managed to accomplish anything at all.  I didn't have internet when I tried it so I couldn't look up a walkthrough or hints.
Also dexed 2048 Chillout, you move numbers around, if you get two numbers that match they double until eventually you get to the number 2048.  I wasn't getting the hang of how the numbers moved and wasn't liking it enough to keep trying.
Started Pirate Chronicles, it's so-so for me.  Clearing obstacles and building type of TM game.
Right now I'm alternating between Save Halloween M3 and Royal Honeymoon.  I'm loving Royal Honeymoon just as much as Royal Trouble, probably even more.

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

Wow, not much action in here.   In Save Halloween M3 if you make a lot of matches in a short time you trigger combo mode for a few seconds where every match you make causes some kind of bonus explosion.  I've played a few other games with this feature, too.   My problem is that as soon as combo mode gets activated I freeze.  I panic and I can't seem to find any matches on the board and I'm yelling and cussing at myself.  It's weird because in real life I'm pretty calm in an emergency but I totally lose it if it's a timer in a game.  Anybody else like that?

Hi Wendy, lovely to see you.

Now I've finished:

Haunted Halls: Nightmare Dwellers PE
PuppetShow: Lightning Strikes PE
Fantasy Mosaics 3: Distant Worlds
Fantasy Mosaics 12: Parallel Universes
Myths of the World: Stolen Spring PE

Enjoyed playing all of them!!!!

Yes, Wendy, I'm exactly the same in that situation!

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

Hi, Fudge.  how did you like HH Nightmare Dwellers?   I remember not liking the demo when it came out but I've always remembered it so I'm thinking maybe that means I should play it, lol.
I just tried a M3... is it "a" M3 or 'an" M3?  Neither one sounds right to me...called From the Sky.  I quit rather quickly.  You have to move your guy across the board past checkpoints by making chain matches.  I wasn't very good at figuring out how the tiles would fall and since I don't care for the chain type I didn't stick around long enough to give it a decent chance.  It does seem to be untimed and you can include yourself in the chain so I can see  how it would appeal to other players, just a personal dislike of mine.  Also, GH has several other M3s out that I'm wanting to try, lol.
