FudgeChi -- If you liked DD: TRUE LOVE you'd probably enjoy the LOVE STORY games.  There are 3:  LETTERS FROM THE PAST, THE BEACH HOUSE and THE WAY HOME.

I'm glad you liked DD: FIRST HOME.  Sometimes a nice easy, bright game with a nice story just hits the spot.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

Thanks for the help stusue.  I was able to get that chain out of the water.  Was enjoying playing it so much that I finished it off last night.  The choice at the end... I chose decline...felt that I had a obligation to pick that one.  Next time I play I'll chose accept and see what that choice brings about.

Think I'll start Stray Souls: The Dollhouse for my next game.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

Thanks Lily I've played those Love Story ones and really enjoyed them. I knew Dream Days reminded me of something but couldn't think what!

Took a break from Dream Days (but I will be back to them) and finished Enlightenus II: The Timeless Tower and Esoterica: Hollow Earth. Enjoyed both of them.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

I'm playing the bonus chapter of Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove, Sacred Grove Collector's Edition.  Why do all MCF games have to drag in the Dalimars?  Can't wait until I'm finished with this game.  The next two MCF's from Eipix will have to wait.  When I finally leave the Groves, I'm playing something entirely different.

I like the Fantasy Mosaic games.  They are a nice change of pace game after playing several HOPA CE's. I play them on Advanced and if I want to have a greater challenge, I try to finish up each color before moving on to the next one.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

I always liked those Dream Day ones.

I'm not dogging anyone's enjoyment of the Fantasy Mosaic games just for me I won't buy anymore.  Maybe if they changed them up a little.  I'm not sure how I would expect them to though.  I do hate how they always have puzzles that you get down to two spots and its a crap shoot.  I hate to use clues.  I have run into that in Olympus Griddlers and it is a wild guess because the pictures are not even discernable to me that you could say oh it would go there to make this dog.  Gizmos are just my favourites.I'd love another one.

I hate it too when you just have to guess the last square. I'd not heard of Gizmo's, Oscar, and I see they have them on GH. I've added them to my favourites and will use a credit when I get one and get the 3 pack when I have a coupon. No good using it for Wolf's Mysteries now as I'm quite far along with it.
Thanks!

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

I have finished:

Gnomes Garden 3. Fun!
Rite of Passage - Hide & Seek CE. Finally! Just OK, couldn't get into it. In the Extras I had under 30 sec in the HOPs and still only got one star. Gave up.
One LFA: The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. Fantastic!!! An awesome game with wonderful graphics and excellent soundtrack. Kind of Point-Click but you walk around freely and don't have to do the puzzles in a specific order.        It's on sale on Steam now (but I bought it on GOG)
Fantasy Mosaics 16- Six Colors in Wonderland. Very fun! But it's perfect to play on FunPass and not have to pay for it.

I also like the Dream Day and Love Story games. On the  Love Story games  I always cry...

I agree with Oscar the Gizmo games are the best!

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

I finally finished Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove, Sacred Grove Collector's Edition.  After the bonus chapter, there was the alternative ending to play.

I had originally intended to get totally caught up with the MCF series, but I'm so sick of the Dalimar clan.  I really loved the storyline of the first Ravenhearst, loved the gameplay of the second Ravenhearst, but I thought the storyline was stupid, and IMO, shoving the evil Dalimar family members into every MCF games has completely ruined the series.

I noticed on the All About Casual Games site, that not only does Elephant Games have a Christmas themed HOPA in the works (Christmas Stories: The Gift of the Magi Collector's Edition), Daily Magic Productions is working on a Christmas game (Yuletide Legends: The Brothers Claus).

I already have quite a pile of holiday themed games which I never seem to have time to play during the applicable season due to the special holiday events being held in the free-to-play games, so I'm celebrating Christmas in July and will play
Christmas Mosaic Puzzle, Christmas Stories: Puss in Boots Collector's Edition, and Rainbow Mosaics: Christmas Lights before selecting another HOPA series to catch up on.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

I have to agree about the Dalimars Tirama.

With the way your weather is going Christmas in July might be a VERY good thing!

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

June was a pretty good month for me.  I only bought one game (with a PCC) and I finished 4!  Well, actually 3 but I was terminally stuck in one game, couldn't get help and couldn't find a walkthrough.

I finished:

BOOK OF LEGENDS, bought 5/2013.  I really enjoyed this one.
DREAM DAY: TRUE LOVE.  bought 12/2010.  While I was looking for something to play I noticed I hadn't played this yet.  It was pretty good.  It had an interesting story (70th wedding anniversary).
CASTLE: NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER.  bought 5/2013.  I never read any of the books nor saw any of the TV series.  It was okay.  It had a jump map that also noted tasks.
DOG UNIT NEW YORK: DETECTIVE MAX.  This was the one I got terminally stuck in.  It had a number of problems (a tripod was called a "beare"), but it could have been an interesting mystery.

I'll see what July brings.
