I think I got Royal Envoy from them once, my BF CE wouldn't play on my new laptop. The one from them didn't play either.

Visiting Game Giveaway of the Day's site and downloading their free games is actually the very first thing that introduced me to casual gaming, years ago. They stopped giving away games for a while and were only giving away non-game software. I had no idea that they'd started up again - thanks for the info barre.
I got a bunch of free games back then (5 or 6 years ago) that introduced me to genres that I now love (M3s like Age of Japan 2, Rise of Atlantis, Around the World in 80 Days and TMs like Magic Farm, Cake Shop, Jane's Hotel).
If you think of it that way, it is smart of developers to give away some games for free because they definitely made a gamer out of me and led me to spend much more than I ever would have on games by introducing me to games I didn't know about before.

I'll have to keep an eye on this site on the weekends. Thanks for linking us to it!

Do these free games have ads in them? I ask because the free games from Gamehouse do have ads in them.

I can say that when I downloaded games from them several years ago, no they didn't have any ads. As far as I could tell, they were full versions of games that would be the same as if you bought them. (They definitely weren't always good games, but they were ad free.)

Today's game is Royal Envoy for anyone interested. I'm downloading it since I don't have it yet.

Thanks jen, I played a free game full of ads once, don't care to do it again. Good to know that these are ad free games.

I feel the same way - there are so many ways to buy games cheaply. I'd rather just look around for good deals on games I want than settle for ad filled games.
