Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

That's a LOT of chapters!!

I finished Black Swan and really enjoyed it. Yes, it's a bit buggy but I didn't mind as I loved it so much.
For once I had the music for a game on full volume! There's music from Swan Lake, of course, a little from Bizet's Carmen and quite a lot from the slow movement of Beethoven's 7th Symphony. Plus some other music I didn't recognise at all.
Some of the puzzles were pretty tough!

You can't always judge the length of a game by the number of chapters.  I've played ERS Games, for example, where the chapters were very unbalanced.

This game is long because of the difficulty of the puzzles.  But I don't think these puzzles are as difficult as the one's in Madame Fate.

Black Swan sounds really interesting!  Is there a skip button?  I can't tell from the clips on BFG nor from the reviews.

Yes, there is a skip button, Lily. On the puzzles and the progressive silhouettes, which is lucky for the latter as it's needed in 1 of those because of a glitch!

You're welcome Lily! Trial it first in case you don't like it, some people will and some won't as Sun said earlier.

Today I finished Beyond: Light Advent which I got with my other coupon code. What a classy game, just LOVED it and not a glitch in sight!

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

I just thought I'd pop in to mention that the Steam summer sale started this week. They don't have a huge selection of casual games from big companies (although they have a lot of casual indie games). Their normal prices are high, but if you can get a sale price of 80-95% off, it's sometimes a great deal.

As an example: a bunch of games in the 12 Labors of Hercules road builder series are on sale for 83-90% off,  $0.49 or $0.50 a piece. Here's a link to all the games by that publisher: http://store.steampowered.com/search/?publisher=Jetdogs%20Studios. There are some HO games from them as well (which I don't play, so I'm not familiar with if they're good or not): Frankenstein: Master of Death, Dracula Legacy, Sinister City.

I'm not sure I'll be buying anything this time around, but I wanted to share this for anyone who does use Steam and hadn't heard about the sale.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

I finished the main game of Fate's Carnival.  The bonus chapter appears to be long.  Hope to start it tonight and finish it tomorrow.

FudegChi, one of the black bar comments in the bonus chapter of Fate's Carnival is "Somebody enjoyed storming the castle."
